What is your opinion?
Really, really good!
"The story captured me right from the start and it had a nice flow to it. I really like the characters and the plot. My only complain is that there isn't more of it. I hope you write more because I want to read it."
Can't wait to read more
"A few paragraphs in and I was immersed into a new world. I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it might take a few more chapters for sure. Did I keep reading? You bet I did. I lost track of time until I had devoured this tale. Fun characters, awesome plot and lovely language. All I ever want in a book! I loved Nightfall. Anyone who enjoys fantasy should put this one their list."
COULD IT BE BETTER?
"The answer to that question is NO! I absolutely loved the book, it has a way of lifting the magic right of the page and into the imagination. The story is well thought out and connects so easily with its self that as a reader i felt like it could actually be real. defiantly in my top five favorite books of all time!"
You should read this book!
"This book is AWESOME and should be made into a movie! We read it for school and it was really good. I want to read it again!"
Sucks You In!
"It really does! I love reading--if I didn't have to eat or sleep, I would just read all the time. This story is well written and unique and I really just can't wait for the next installment."
LOVED IT!!
"I read many Fantasy books, as well as general Mystery and Fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed Nightfall. There are many books where the plot or story hooks me enough to finish the book, but I get bored in the middle and skim through a few fight scenes or travel chapters, With Nightfall I did not have the same problem or issue. The Author makes the characters witty and I enjoy the relationship they have with each other. The story line also develops quickly and you don't feel there are empty chapters that aren't relevant to the grand scheme of the plot. I love it!"
Unforgettable Addicting Read
"I love reading whether it's the classics or rereading the Harry Potter Books. Nightfall not only held my attention it was a read through the night, must-finish, and cannot-wait-for-the-sequel kind of book I couldn't put down. The characters were relatable and the story line was riveting. I found my self yelling when I thought they made a mistake and nearly ripping the pages over the suspense. I hope the next one comes out soon!"
Story and style
"Not only is the storyline engaging and addicting, but the writing style is TOO COMPELLING! I can't put it down (sorry, hubby) and read over 200 pages in a sitting. The characters develop themselves, and the world in which they live is an ongoing adventure (with and without magic). I really, REALLY hope this is the next big hit, because my husband is getting tired of me exclaiming, "BUT THIS BOOK IS SOOOOOOO GOOD! You need to read it!" To every single one of my in-laws. I haven't sat down and read just for the heck of it in over a year, and this book is worth every second spent reading it! READ IT!"
Nightfall
"I love fantasy. I started reading this story and could not let go of it. So real. You could just see it in your mind. I do not have the proper words to say how much I enjoyed this story. I hope she writes more stories. I would definitely buy her books. Julie"
Nightfall
"Nightfall is an amazing fantasy novel! It has many similarities to other books I've read & loved but even with the enormous variety of books there are out there, this one is very unique: consisting of many new, interesting, & creative ideas. Making the reader feel like they're inside the story with the characters, it definitely always keeps you interested & wanting to know what's coming next. I cannot wait to read more! "
Amazing
"I am actually not a big fan of fantasy, but this story is just what might change my mind about that. I was actually indecisive about whether I should read this story or chose another one, but once I got started, I could not stop. And I am glad I’ve made the right choice. This story is enchanting, captivating, intense and dynamic. It simply consumed me and took me to another world, making me feel as if I am there, right along with the characters, feeling what they feel and going through what they are going through. This is what I like most about books and this is what makes me read on and on. I believe this is the most important feature of a good author. The confrontation between Ekaitz and Zigor in the very end was so intense and I got the feeling that nothing is over yet."
Fun fantasy escape
"Nightfall is a great fantasy story that's totally worth the read. If you liked Eragon you'll love nightfall. Its an adventurous bildungsroman with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged. It may take a few pages to fall into the world but once you do you won't regret it."
Fun adventure
"I love books like Redwall, Lord of the Rings, and Eragon. This one, Nightfall, reminds me of Eragon, but has a lot of the fun adventure reminiscent of The Book Thief. It's well written, and a genuinely fun read."
Nightfall
"I enjoy an eclectic mix of genre, Terry Pratchett, Tom Clancy John Irving, Joseph Conrad, John Steinbeck, William Faulkner, Larry Bond,Bernard Cornwell, Patrick OBrian, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and Margaret Flint to name a few. Nightfall kept my interest and drew me into the fantasy. I was able to escape and feel that I had become a part of the story. Here I felt a similarity to many of the other authors that I have come to enjoy yet a fresh difference so that I did not feel I was reading a rehash of other authors. When my dreams echo what I am reading I know that I am truly enjoying my book. Especially when I put the book down and feel I have just transitioned from one life, what I was reading, into the world that I am now moving about in and I fell that somehow they are connected."
Good story
"The story was compelling and was able to grab my attention, with the details of the cities easily creating images in my had as the scenes played out. The characters are very diverse, which is great. The groundwork and foundation for the areas and the quests was done well. I do have some problems with the story as told by the protagonist, as it is in first-person. The main character is too powerful, and sometimes forgets what his powers are shortly after using them, or simply does not use them and does not explain why to the audience. This is a lapse in continuity as I would expect him to at least explain why he is not using certain abilities that would prevent an unwanted outcome that unfolds. Also in the travel chapters I began to forget what their quest was about because it was only mentioned once before departure and never mentioned again for about 7 chapters in which the protagonist lived mostly in the moment and rarely pondered upon his overall goal. In this type of story I would really like some outpouring of thought and anxiousness from the protagonist so that I can relate to him more as a character and understand his struggles. I really want him to spend time trying to grasp the seriousness of the journey, even if his personality is to not worry about it too much. The side characters are sometimes stated as being present, but often do nothing, and I wish there was more development and interaction with them, as at times, it feels like a solo venture for the protagonist (especially in later chapters). A subtle romantic relationship would be a nice touch, but he doesn't get close enough to his new friends for this to be possible. What we do see of the side characters, when they play major roles, is quite good, and I can appreciate what has been done there. Overall, the book is an enjoyable read, and I do plan on reading the sequel, if one is to surface. There is a great story in here, which is often in the foreground, and when it is it is a wonderful time."
