Chapter 1
I fell onto the floor again after another failed ollie. "Ouch..." I muttered. I have to keep trying. I know I can do it. I thought, looking at the trees. I got up and picked up my board. "I can do this. Just one more time and-" An angry yell from the woods interrupted me. "What the heck?" I fell off my board. I hit the ground, head first.
My ears started to ring. "Ow.." I groaned. What was that yell? Who's all the way out here? I asked myself. I stood up and started to walk towards the sound of the yell. Strangely, it was quiet. The sound of my step-dad mowing the field was gone. The sound of birds chirping faded. The view of the house was gone and so was the shed.
It was weird. I shrugged it off and continued walking. Snow started to fall and the trees were no longer small oak. Instead, they were tall, dark trees. The ground was littered with snow and the amount grew the longer I walked.
I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. A piece of paper suddenly hit me in the face. I pulled it off and read it.
Dear Eloise,
I would advise you check your inventory. I gave you some stuff to have. To open your inventory, flick your wrist on either arm. Put the glasses on when your vision starts to get bad. Find Technoblade. He will take you to Philza and Kristin, his wife.

I looked at it again. "Inventory? That sounds familiar." I flicked my left wrist. A Minecraft inventory popped up and I saw it half full of stuff. I also saw myself. I had purple eyes, fluffy ears, a tail, and raven wings. My hair was now white as snow. The freckles on my face were more evident than before and the scar on my face from my childhood cat was a pinkish color.
"That's cool. It that an axe?" I whispered, tapping the axe. A hatchet, seeming, axe appeared in my hand. "Woah." I stared at it in absolute wonder. I noticed it had moved to a box in the hotbar instead of near the top of the inventory.
I put it back where it was and put the note in my inventory too. The ground was covered in heavy snow now. I continued to walk forward after figuring out how to close my inventory (which was just another flick of my wrist). I heard another person start to yell and I ran towards it. My vision was getting bad so I went through my inventory to find the glasses.
Putting them on, I continued to run. They were comfortable so it was easy to get used to them. Snow fell harder but it somehow never bothered me.
The treeline appeared not far in front of me so I sped up. Unfortunately, me being me, I tripped and rolled down the snowy hill. I had landed between two men.
One of the men was a ghost while the other had a smile mask and a green hoodie. I gulped. "S-sorry u-um... Anyone know where I can find Technoblade?" I asked nervously. They looked at me and at each other. "He's at his house. Why do you need the Blade?" The ghost asked me. "Someone told me to find him. I-I can show you the note." I stood up.
They looked back at each other and nodded. I opened my inventory and got the note out. I closed it, handing them the note. The mask one took it harshly and read it. I fiddled with my hair a bit. "We can take you to him. We'll just have to take you to see George first." He said.
"N-no thanks. I want to see Technoblade so he can take me where I need to go." I took the note back gently. He seemed to glare at me. A shiver ran down my spine. "Dream we should just take her to see Techno." The ghost said. So the Green Smile guy was Dream. "Ghostbur she needs to see George. She's in L'Manburg territory." Dream said. The ghost's name is Ghostbur.
Ghostbur looked at me. "I-I should get going. Sorry for bothering you two." I backed away. Dream grabbed me by the collar. I yelped. "Hold on, kid." He said. Ghostbur looked like he wanted to help. I looked at him in pure fear. "Dream she's scared." He said.
Dream didn't say a word. "P-please just let me go." I pleaded in a whisper. "Dream." A new, terrifyingly deep voice spoke. "Techno I didn't expect you to be so close to L'Manburg around now." Dream sounded so nice. "Put the kid down." The new person ordered. Dream set me on my feet. I was shaking from fear. "I advise you leave." Dream left and Ghostbur stayed. "Are you okay?" Ghostbur asked. "I-I should be o-okay." I smiled.
He smiled back. "What are you doing out here in those kind of clothes?" I looked at the new guy. He was tall, pink haired, and dressed like a monarch. His face was covered my a pig mask. "I-I'm n-not cold." I stuttered, still frightened by Dream. "What's your name?" He asked. "E-Eloise." He nodded. "Technoblade." He said.
"She was told to look for you, Techno." Ghostbur put his hand on my shoulder. He seemed surprised that he could. "Is that so?" Technoblade asked. I nodded. "Someone brought me here and they wanted me to see you so that I can meet two people named Kristin and Philza?" I think I said their names wrong.
Technoblade nodded. "I can take you to them. Right now Phil is in the Nether." And with that, the two men took me to see Philza and his wife.
