Chapter 1

Rage, one of the basic and most important ingredients to make a perfect psychopathic serial killer. I don’t like tagging my behavior and activities but if I had to, I would call myself a very angry killer.

I was bought up in a very wealthy family. I was given all the riches and was spoilt beyond imagination. I had everything except a little affection from humans. By the way, I didn’t allow servants to be affectionate to me. I mean, eww. My mom was very beautiful but was always busy with charity events, parties, and our gardener who was not good at his work. He could learn ultimately to take care of the garden if he spent more time in the garden and less in my mom’s bedroom.

Now, what can I tell about my dad? He was always traveling or that’s what he said. One day, while I was coming back home after my weekend shopping. I saw him driving out of another mansion. That week he brought me a diamond watch, which he said he bought from Paris. Sure.

I didn’t mind these lies as I was too young to understand infidelity at that time and thought that’s how rich people of our stature live. Until I started seeing how the poor lived. They seem happy?

I didn’t understand how can they be happy without money and a mansion to live in. But they were happy. The reason they were happy was, they had affection and cared about eachother. That made me wonder if I was loved.

I was very young like in my teens when I saw this boy living in our servant’s quarters sneaking out of the mansion. I didn’t understand why he was sneaking out. I mean who cares where is was going or what happens to him or if he even dies. He was a nobody. He had few more siblings which meant there were more kids for his parents to replace him. I saw him do this multiple times. I didn’t like him. He had so many friends, always laughed, he would play freely and though he looked ugly af, his parents loved him. I hated him.

Today was my birthday and as always I was showered with gifts. Like I woke up in the morning and I had a whole corner of my room filled with gifts. An old maid who kind of took care of me, wished me birthday and that’s it. Where were my parents? They were busy. Anyway. I got a lot of things which kept me busy for the whole day. Loved everything I got.

All this would be enough until that ugly boy had his birthday a few days after mine. His birthday was weird. He had friends over, decorations and his parents were there too. It’s acceptable for his parents to be present on his birthday as they were mere low-wager servants in the mansion. They had no place important to be than attended a lame party. But somehow that hurt. Like, that pain you can’t have a pill for. The pain in the chest, which is not a heart attack or heartburn after you had Mexican food. The kind of pain which makes you cry and make you angry.

After that, I started hating him. The thought of his existence made me outraged. I spent days thinking of ways he could simply die and no one would care and forget about him. Then let’s see who cares to attend his birthday. I mean, there won’t be any birthdays to celebrate. I laughed so hard at that. Hahaha.

One night, like many nights I saw him sneak out of the mansion. This time I intended to follow him. I got dressed in a black hoodie, black jeans, and black boots. Oh, can’t forget a mask. Can’t let him see me and can’t be seen with the poor. I mean, gross.

So, this jerk was having more fun out here. How? He has nothing. Like they were throwing stones in the pond nearby. Eating pizza and drinking soda at the park. I just wished a bee fell on his bite of the pizza and he dies then and there. Idiot. God, they were doing all these poor people things and laughing. Uncultured people. God.

I come back without a problem. I stand outside the mansion and see the security sleeping. So, anyone can get into the mansion without anyone stopping. Great *rolling eyes*

That night, I lay in my bed and think of the boy. I didn’t know why I was angry but I was. Whatever.

I tried to sleep trying to ignore him but couldn’t. So, I got out of bed and went to the kitchen to get something to eat. All the sneaking out and following him had made me hungry.

I walk into the kitchen and see my dad seated in the kitchen with a beer in his hand.

“Hey, dad,” I say.

“Oh, hey. Why are you up?” Asks dad.

“Came down for a snack,” I say.

“You should go back to your room,” says dad and that’s when I see him holding a gun.

“Why do you have a gun?” I ask.

“Nothing, just going to kill your mom. Bitch been cheating on me” says, dad.

“Wouldn’t you be in trouble for killing mom?” I ask very calmly picking bread, peanut butter, and jam.

“I will, but I have a lot of money. I can get away with anything including murder” says, dad. Now those words got registered in my mind.

We both continue to talk while he showered me with his wisdom and I made him a sandwich, and one for myself too.

“Thank you for the sandwich, buddy,” says dad and walks out of the kitchen leaving me to finish my sandwich.

I had just finished my sandwich when I heard gunshots. Two gunshots. I walk up to my parent’s room and see my parents dead. Looks like both fought and killed eachother. I couldn’t help myself and ask my dead dad “looks like money can’t buy life. You die no matter how much money you have”

I stood watching my parents for a while till I faintly hear chaos which was the security guard and maids who rushed into the room. Someone called the cops and tried to pull me out of the room but I refused. I was watching a dead body for the first time and it was fascinating. My dad ate a sandwich with me a minute ago and now he laid on the floor dead. I was really controlling myself from laughing as I couldn’t stop thinking of how he died while he came to kill mom.

Life goes on and after a few days, it was my parent’s funeral. Boring AF.

I had a mansion full of maids and my dad’s lawyer said I can take over everything after I turned 18 which was like a year from now. All I had to do was chill out of the year and then everything would be mine. I was going to be an overnight billionaire within a year. So how did I celebrate? Nothing. You need at least one more person to party with. Which I didn’t have.

I went to my room and as always I say that boy sneaks out. That’s when I had an idea how to celebrate. I sneaked out behind him and followed him. But this time I walked a little closer. He had a feeling I was behind cause he kept looking over his shoulder. I walk faster towards him when I see him pass a dark lane and yanked him in the lane. He tried to fight me and when he turns to look at me. He knew who I was. It was a big shock to him to see my handsome face. He was so awestruck by my beauty that he didn’t notice a knife in my hand.

I stabbed him and moaned. Fuck, this can’t be real. I was smiling. Is this what you call happiness? Cause this fuck was making me really happy. I pushed him down on the ground and started stabbing his chest. I knew he was dead but I wanted to do more. I stabbed his eyes and then opened his mouth and pushed the knife in his mouth. I stood up and stepped on the knife which pushed the knife deeper.

He was dead and I killed him. I was happy and what do you do when happy? You smile and laugh. I was laughing. I was so happy. But just like I started laughing I had to stop when I saw someone behind the dumpster looking at me. A dark figure stood up from the corner and looks at the boy on the floor, then looks at me. For a few minutes, that’s all we did. We stare at eachother for a few minutes and then he did something unthinkable. He smiled at me. That smile reminded me of someone. Me. I smiled that sinister smile. And that’s the day I met my best friend.
