It was a sunny morning about half eight if I remember correctly and I was sitting there staring out the window waiting for a waitress to come to take my order in this nice quiet cafe. Then again I was in Florida so I suppose I should call it a diner as that’s what it was, hadn’t been there too long before my mind started wandering like it does thinking about home and wondering how long until I think I’ll be ready to go back there.

Then I snapped out of it when I heard darling for about the third time next to me, I looked up to see a blonde smiling at me she had her hair up and was wearing the typical white blouse and checkered apron holding a glass pot of coffee, as she could see she finally had my attention she asked if I wanted to look at the menu and I nodded as she placed it in front of me on the table she asked if I would like coffee I said “no but I’ll have a tea if you do any” she gave me a chipper “oh your British” then listed off all sorts of ice teas.

I responded quite blankly “no English tea?” She blinked a few times, probably trying to give herself some thinking time then finally said “oh yeah you brits like it warm, well we can make you some sweet tea” I of course asked her questionably “what’s sweet tea?” she gives me a little umm along with a head tilt “well we take some tea bags in a pot with some sugar and bring it to the boil” I sighed and said “that will do but can you bring me some milk with that” and of course she looked at me confused but said of course.

Bound to Kill

mmslanker: Bound to kill was a fun read. I really liked the plot, but it did start to feel like it was rushed and hopping around towards the middle to the end. There were a couple of red herrings and surprises that made the story more interesting, and I enjoyed the inclusion of multiple supernatural species and...
