Chapter 1

Luna Moss was thinking about Felix Volturi again. She had first met him, 12 long years ago, when she was 4 and he was 5. She hasn’t seen her best friend since she ran away from home all those years ago.

In the years since, she has frequently reflected on the time they spent together. In time, she realized something; she was in love with her childhood best friend, the wonderful Felix Volturi. Luna wonders if he still remembers her.

Felix was is her everything. He’s like a charming Greek god with an attractive, infectious grin and bewitching, ruby eyes.

Luna walked over to her window seat and reflected on her majestic surroundings. She had always loved quiet Volterra, Italy with its silent, ancient castle that she calls home. It was a place that encouraged her to feel at peace in uncertain times.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw something in the distance, through the window or rather someone. It was the charming, yet mischievous, figure of Felix Volturi.

Luna gulped nervously. How did he find me?, she wondered. Should I tell him I’m in love with him, or would that be too sudden?, she pondered. She glanced at her own reflection in the nearby mirror hanging on her salmon-coloured parlor wall to check her appearance.

Luna is an alluring, intelligent, young woman with silky, honey-colored hair and enchanting, deep-blue eyes.

Her friends would often call her a wolf, because Luna is extremely loyal and protective of those she loves, her “pack”.

But not even she, someone who has known Felix since he was young, was prepared for what Felix had in store for her today.

The clouds danced gracefully across the sunset like swooping doves, filling Luna with hope. She mustered all of her strength & courage. With a deep, relaxing breath, she stepped outside to greet Felix. As he approached, a mischievous glint appeared in his captivating, ruby-red irises.

Felix looked at her like she was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. Remembering the mischievous glint in his eyes not a moment before, Luna was conflicted on what his gaze could mean.

Did he love her? Or was he going to break her heart like the others? Luna was not going to let that happen.

Before she had the chance to do anything, Felix - the god he was - was right in front of her. His eyes seemed to shift colour like how lava changes colour as it cools down and heats up. Luna was entranced, unable to removed her eyes from his. Her face turned a light shade of icy pink.

Luna was thrilled that he was here. When she left, it felt like she was ripping a gigantic hole in her chest. It was almost like a piece of her - her heart and soul - had been left with Felix.

Felix tried several times to speak to the love of his life, his childhood best friend, his everything, his Luna. Only his. Luna was Felix's as much as he was hers.

He had been rehearsing this speech for days while he planned his trip to find his love. All that practice, those long hours planning what to say, left him as he stared at the goddess of a woman standing before him.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, he found his voice. Felix drew in a long breath, trying to soothe his nerves. He tried again once more.

He said, in a hushed tone, filling to the brim with anxiety over what her answer would be, “I love you, Luna. I’ve loved you ever since we met.”

She managed to find the courage to raise her gaze to meet his after a few seconds had passed. Her eyes were bewildered, only for a moment, in finding an amount of love and adoration she never thought was possible in his gaze.

Luna hesitated. The wolf gathering her courage, her faith, that he would return her feelings.

“Felix, I have something to tell you as well.” Luna said nervously.

This was her moment, her chance to finally confess her love for the boy who was her best friend. He still is. Although, he was no longer a boy. No, he was a man now.

That was made crystal clear by his well-defined, muscular arms, and especially his wonderful, sculpted chest. The forest-green long-sleeve shirt he wore fit him so tightly, that one would think that it would rip with the pressure. Felix's shirt fit him so well, that his muscles were made ever more prominent.

He was 6 foot compared to her 5'2". The top of Luna's head just barely managed to reach his shoulders.

Felix's hair was: only a little bit wavy, in a deep, chocolatey brown, and was about ear-length (FYI: longest bits would be down to his ears).

Luna's, in contrast, was: slightly-to-medium wavy, in a honey-coloured blonde, and down to her waist (FYI: This is when she hasn't done anything with it.)

“I love you. I always have.” She finished passionately.

Without taking a moment to think, Felix cupped her face in his hands. As they gazed into the other’s eyes, they subconsciously inched closer and closer until their lips were almost touching.

Felix desperately wanted to close the gap between them and finally, after all these years, kiss the love of his life. He held back, in case she didn’t want this. To his surprise and delight, Luna quickly closed the distance between them.

It felt like fireworks were going off around them. They felt electricity between them wherever their skin collided. Neither of them had ever come even close to feeling like this.

When the new couple finally came up for air, Luna invited Felix inside. They walked together, side by side, into her kitchen.

“Could you go into the living room and get a fire started? The wood should be to the left of the fireplace. I’m going to make some hot chocolate. Do you want anything?” Luna said warmly, gazing at the love of her life.

“Of course my dear.” Felix replied with that infectious smile Luna loves so much. “I would love some of your hot chocolate. I need to get you to teach me your recipe. Nothing else can possibly compare to the heavenly, warm, comforting feel of your homemade hot cocoa.” Felix continued passionately.

Luna felt a warm tingle rise in her face as she began to blush with joy from his compliments. Upon seeing her reaction, he chuckled warmly and went off to do as she asked.

Luna followed several moments later, carrying 2 steaming mugs of her homemade cocoa. She quickly made her way over to her lover and handed Felix one of the mugs. She sat down and snuggled into his side, his strong arms waiting to wrap around her.

They then proceeded to spend the rest of the night talking and laughing. Getting closer with each passing second, their souls becoming one.
