Falling For You Chapter 9

(Elinor Tate POV)

I’ve been a school nurse for the past four years, I’ve always had a special connection to young kids. Being a nurse is my passion. I’m currently twenty-eight years old. I work at North Ridge High School where I could express my passion. I was lost in thought when someone knocked on my office door and it’s just Amy Adams coming for an eye examination.”Hello Amy you may sit in this seat I’ll give your examination in a few minutes.” Thats when she nodded. I set up everything for this one examination.” Amy can you read these letters?” She nodded her head declaring,”YZWAE.” I nodded with agreement.” Thats very correct Amy.” An hour passed when the eye examination was over Amy was almost out of my office when she stated to me.”Ms.Tate thank you for giving my eye examination. I was just wondering do you have anything planned tonight? You could have dinner with my dad and I. I think he would adore the company he’s been so melancholy recently what do you think?” I just nodded my head and declared.”That sounds wonderful Amy. Email me your address and what time should I come by?” Thats when she said 6. Amy left my office and I can’t stop thinking about tonight why would Amy want me to meet her father? You know I’ve been single for so damn long my last relationship didn’t last that long. But maybe tonight was going to be different, maybe when I meet this melancholy mysterious man I might discover my soulmate. I returned to the wonderful world of being a school nurse for North Ridge High School.

(Mary Ann POV)

School was already over before I knew it. I was finding someone inside my locker when Amy was looking directly into my face.”Mary Ann part one of our plan is complete the dinner.” I looked at her in amusement stating.”Thats awesome Amy. But how did you really tell Ms.Tate?” Thats when she told me the story of having a eye examination then she invited her for dinner with her very sad grieving dad.” I’m glad we’re matchmaking your dad. Well I’ll be home doing homework send me the details because I must know everything that happens!” I shut my locker door then Amy and I were walking outside the school. Amy was waiting for her dad, and I was walking home like normally.”Bye Amy!” I waved at her and she returned my wave. I began my journey down the highway to home where I belonged. I was actually kinda happy about pairing up Samuel Adams with Elinor Tate. But I felt happy for him but at the same time I felt kinda jealous yes you’ve heard it jealous! Since that interaction when he caught me I still think about those brown beautiful eyes filled with love.

(Samuel POV)

I left the university and began to drive to the school to pick up my daughter. Today work was very good, I love history and I can actually illustrate my passion to my students. I was waiting in the parking lot when Amy opened the passenger door.” Hey dad I had a awesome day at school.” I smiled proudly stating.”I’m very happy Amy school is one of the most important things.” I drove onto the highway towards the direction of home.

Amy and I finally arrived home. I’ve never really liked traveling I preferred staying at home. I’ve been wanting to settle down since Annabelle and I had Amy. I opened the front door making my way towards my bedroom where I was flooded with work.

(Amy POV)

I’m sitting in my desk emailing Ms.Tate the woman whom will sweep my dad off of his feet. I smiled happily to myself.

I’m emailing to inform you about dinner tonight my address is 204 Main Street.

Elinor Tate

(Samuel POV)

I looked over at my clock which read 5:30pm. I’ve been working for about two hours. I heard someone knocking at the door who could that be? Maybe it’s Mary Ann when I thought of that it made me smile. I walked towards the door and opened it very slowly I was expecting Mary Ann not this woman standing before me. Who was she? What was she knocking on my door? She was around 5’6, was very smiley, and had blond hair.” Nice to meet you Mr.Adams.” What in the sam heck is happening that’s when I saw Amy in the corner of my eye. That’s when she declared,”Dad this is the school nurse Elinor Tate. Ms.Tate this is my dad Samuel Adams. I invited her over for dinner isn’t that fine with you?” I nodded my head trying to be happy about this situation.” You can come on in Ms.Tate.” I proclaimed to her. That’s when she looked amused,”You don’t have to be so formal Mr.Adams just call me Elinor and I’ll call you Samuel doesn’t that sound lovely.” I nodded at her. “Elinor I’ll show you the living room.” I showed her my living room which consisted of two couches, and my tv.” Thats the living room and here’s the kitchen where I cook.” She took in my living area and stated.” You have such a wonderful house Samuel.”

(Elinor POV)

I’m having a wonderful splendid evening at Samuel’s house. There was something about him that was very lovable, he seemed like nice gentleman. He was making dinner and I was just watching him with a wondering gaze. He was very good looking if you may ask he has these gorgeous brown eyes, and his hands are very gorgeous! I notice Samuel chopping potatoes, onions, peppers. Then afterwards he was cooking fried potatoes. It’s really amusing just watching him cook.

(Samuel POV)

I was cooking my heart away no one has seen me cook besides my daughter. But I tried to forget about Elinor Tate eying me she was a vey nice woman. But what in the sam hell was Amy thinking? She’s trying to pair me up with the school nurse hell no! I’m happy that my daughter was looking after me and wanted me to be happy, but I just wasn’t ready to love yet. Dinner was ready so Amy, Elinor and I ate in utter silence for a few minutes till’ Ms. Tate broke the awkward silence.

“This is very scrumptious Samuel it’s very divine.” She said after eating my potatoes that I’ve made.” You’re very welcome Elinor I won’t mind cooking for you again.” I stated smiling at her and she blushed looking into my eyes.” I wouldn’t mind that.”

-1 Hour Later-

Dinner was over and that meant Ms. Elinor Tate was leaving for the night. Amy was in the living room gazing at her phone.” Amy I’m going to be walking Elinor to her car. Mind your mettle.” I told her before I walked Ms.Tate to her car that’s when she began staring at me blushing while stating,” Thank you Samuel for letting me come over it was very nice. I’ve been single for so long.” Before she left she kissed my cheek and that left in me in utter shock.”I’m glad you loved it Elinor by the way could I get your number?” What in the hell was I saying? That’s when she really looked into my eyes.”Yes I’ll give you my number Samuel it’s (509)616-0055.” She proclaimed I added her to my contacts.”I hope you have a beautiful rest of your night Elinor Tate.” I kissed her cheek and she smiled. Elinor got into her bug and drove away from my sight. I smiled to myself Elinor Tate seemed very likable but she didn’t seem like the one for me. I just gave her my number so we could have dinner some time, or just to hang out. I find it funny that Amy tried to set me up with Elinor Tate, I walked inside my home to the cozy atmosphere.
