yes, this is my life lol
So we decided to all go bowling for our 'lil hangout sesh'. Lilia told the group chat she was going to be inviting a bunch of people well, guess who showed up? Nobody. I invited my friend Amy (who showed up) and my friend Marissa (who also showed up).
Lilia and I were trying to get a group together so my mom would allow me to hang with Jax.
The original plan was to meet at the bowling place at 2:30. It was almost 3:30 when we all met up.
Jax was supposed to pick Lilia up and my mom would pick Marissa and Amy up, Jax offered to pick me up but my mom definitely said no.

"WHAT! Heck no dev! I don't even know this boy!" i was kinda bummed because it would give me a chance to talk with him and maybe flirt without others around. Jax turned 16 this past October and he already has his license and his own car. it's January and i just turned 16 and only have my permit.
but it's fine.
Well, kinda, I was kind of jealous and upset that Lilia was allowed to ride with Jax and since they have history well... you know. ahh I don't wanna think about it.
Anyway the plan was we would all get to the place at the same time. Marissa, Amy and I were sitting in the bowling place for about 20 minutes looking like 3 lost stupid teenagers waiting for our friends.
Apparently Jax was running late and took forever picking Lilia up so we walked to a nearby grocery store to wait for them. And also because Marissa wanted to buy ice cream.
So we hungout in the grocery store and bought Marissas small 'Ben and Jerry's' ice cream.
I then got a text from lilia.
we're here! Jax is excited to meet you!
oh gosh now I got butterflies ahh how can I be this nervous??!
Me and Jax have been texting since Christmas and it's the middle of January and ahh I'm so scared.
my friends knew i was a little freaked out and nervous so we hid in the valentines day section at the back of the store
Amy tries to comfort me
"girl calm down he's just a boy it'll be fine"
ya right.
they eventually found us and Lilia greeted us with hugs. We all said hi to Jax and he waved shyly.
I waved back.

I'm not shy! what am i doing.
I then smiled awkwardly.
( facepalm )
"so wanna meet back at bowling?" I say after walking around the store for a bit.
"ya sure" they all say
we walk towards the parking lot and it's Lilia talking Jax's ear off nonstop, and Marrissa Amy and me trailing behind awkwardly.
we make it to the doors and start to head out when Marissa perks up.
"OMG is that Tyler from Lincoln??!"
Lincoln elementary was Lilia and Marissas old school.
"OMG it is !! holy crap he got hot! like, major hot"
Marissa and Lilia start to giggle and inch towards where Tyler was. He didn't seen to notice them until Lilia let out a pretty loud high pitched sqeal from giggling too hard.
"oh hey Lilia" he says and waves them over
they smile at eachother and skipped their way over to him.
leaving me jax and Amy in the dust.
Well mainly me and Jax, Amy was doing who knows what on her phone and trailing a little behind us.
Jax and I look at eachother awkwardly
"hi" We both say at the same time
I blush
uh oh. yeah. I can feel my cheeks burning up and i look away and scrunch my nose, something I always do when I'm nervous
Jax seems to notice and he goes a little red too
"nice to finally meet you" he says
"ya you too" We just stare at eachother and smile.
inside I am dying of embarrassment and my butterflies in my stomach feel like savage birds wanting to get out.
"your cuter in person" he finally says
wow. he did not just say that.
now I start to blush uncontrollably
"thanks" I manage to say
I decide to toughen up and act cool.
"I mean so are you"
Jax looks up
"really??"
I'm able to nod when Lilia and Marissa come running over
"omggg Tyler is the hottest dude I've ever seen"
Lilia looks like she's in love
"hey! Im right here!" Jax jokingly says
"your on my top 5" she says and gives him a pat on the back.
Marissa gives me a look after looking from lilia to Jax. the look that says:
uh-oh-i-dont-know-if-lilias-over-him
my jealously starts to boil.
we head out to the parking lot and since I don't have a car Marissa and Amy have to walk back to the bowling place with me.
I thought Lilia was gonna go with us but she insisted she ride with Jax.
if my jealousy could be put it a pot it would be overflowing and spilling on the floor right now.
but of course I don't show it to my friends.
lemme just sum it up to you.
bowling was really lame.
I mean i won but it wasnt as fun as I thought it would be.
well first, it was 10.45$ a person and I only brought a 10$ so I had to mooch off of Lilia.
second, they were all mainly on their phones playing game pigeon with eachother like hello! we are right here in real life! and since I don't have a fancy shmancy iPhone I was the only one who really bowled I mean, no wonder I won.
I would get a strike and celebrate and turn around and they would all be looking down at their phones.
"not that anyone saw but I got a strike!"
nobody looked up. not even Jax.
"cool can you go for me?" Amy asks still looking on her phone.
wow.
ok.
so bowling ended pretty fast and I was bummed, upset and really mad at my friends but of course i didn't say anything because i didn't wanna ruin the rest of the day.
So after a sad game of bowling we walked back to the grocery store (except Lilia and Jax of course)
Jax wanted to do some dares and Lilia agreed with him.
I was kind of nervous because Jax and I were texting earlier about dares and if he dared me he would make me do something stupid like go get an old man's number.
ugh that just gives me the chills thinking about it.
Amy had to go 10 minutes after we got there so we all just walked around a bit.
Marissa and Lilia were in front yapping back and forth about Tyler and other hot boys.
and then me and Jax. side by side. following behind.
"it's kinda weird to see her talking about other boys" Jax says
here it comes he's gonna say something like "it's kinda weird after we broke up and we stayed friends and she tells me all about her other boyfriends and blah blah blah"
but suprisingly, he didn't.
"why?" I ask
"like it'd be weird if I talked about hot girls right?"
I nod
"idk I just think it's weird"
I mean it is weird.
I havnt talked about a single boy and that's what Marissa and Lilia have been doing the whole time so I get why he's uncomfortable.
"well guess what" I say
flirt mode on
"what?"
"there's this one guy who I think is really hot"
Jax's smile fades
"oh" is all he says
I laugh and give him a shove
"it's you dummy!"
he smiles and lightly shoves me back
here comes the flirtin.
"so what are you gonna do if I start slipin?"
he asks smirking
slippin?
I just go along with it and say
"depends what you do"
his face is all red and he cannot stop smirking
"what if I do this"
he then pinches my sides making me squeal. (or laugh and dunno it was a really weird noise)
Marissa and Lilia stop and look back at us.
Lilia smile fades and she eyes me.
"hey! no tickling!"
"whatcha gonna do about it?"
"I guess you'll have to see"
"you gonna punch me? huh is lil devon gonna punch me?"
"what if I do?"
he grins
"go ahead right here" he lifts up his shirt a little bit revealing his abbs.
gosh dang holy-
now those are abbs.
I blush and turn away.
he knows he got me blushing and he just stares at me waiting for me to make eye contact. which I don't.
we keep roaming the aisles when we bump into marissas mom who is out shopping.
"Mom what are you doing here?" Marissa seems embarrassed and takes her mom to the side to talk to her.
Just then as if the angels up above were looking down on me, Lilia phone rings and its her mom. she walks away leaving me and Jax.
he then takes his hoodie off and I know, I KNOW for a fact! he lifted his shirt up so I could see his abbs again while he was doing it.
he saw me look.
"i gave you something now gimme something"
uh oh.
I start to blush. like for the 15th time.
"uhhh-" is all I get out when Marissa comes back and tells us she's going to finish shopping with her mom and then head out.
Lilia says her mom needs her home and since Jax is her ride he has to go too.
sadly.
it was just getting good.
well maybe?
idk.
I hitch a ride with Marissa and we say our goodbyes. They all hug and I know Jax is looking at me wanting a hug too. I refuse to look.
we leave and as I'm walking to Marissas car I turn to her.
"you saw how he was flirting with me right? do you think he likes me?"
she scoffs" he does that with everyone including me. don't worry he's just being friendly"

I doubt he's done that to Marissa, in fact I don't think she's seen his abbs ever, or anyone's abbs!
