Lilith’s Arrival
Lilith Raines knew she was different from everyone else in her village. She has magic and she has a secret. She is the lost princess of Camelot and the twin sister of prince Arthur.Just because she has magic, she is not permitted to use it for it is punishable by death throughout the kingdom.
It is the day her mother has sent her to Camelot. She left early in the morning knowing it would take her three days to get there.She had to walk since they didn’t own any horses.
When she got to Camelot, she saw how beautiful the castle was. She was walking and taking in the scenery that she wasn’t watching where she was going that she ran into a young guy who looked to be her age. He had black hair and hazel eyes.
She noticed he had dropped some books and papers. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going. Here let me help you.” She bent down and helped him.” It’s alright I also wasn’t watching where I was going either” he said finally looking at her. She could tell he was a sorcerer; she could feel it. He was a great one at that.
He smiled at her and offered his hand saying “ I’m Merlin '' he was smiling at her. “ Lilith” she said smiling and shook his hand. They both stood up, with Lilith handing him the stuff she helped him pick up.With that he walked away.
As she watched him, she realized she didn’t know where Gaius’ was. “Merlin!” he turned around, “do you know where the court physician’s office is?” This caused Merlin to smile, “ follow me.” Lilith said “ you don’t have to go through the trouble of taking me.” Merlin laughed a little. He was actually quite cute. “Nonsense, I was heading there myself anyways.” Lilith nodded and ran to catch up with him.
They walked a short distance till they ended up at Gaius’ chambers. Gaius saw Merlin first “where have you been?” Then Gaius saw Lilith “ who is this?” Lilith then stated “ my name is Lilith Raines, I have a letter for you.” She handed the letter to him so he could read it. As he read the letter, Lilith walked around the room and looked around at all the books and herbs that lined the walls. “Lilith” she looked at him “you will have to share a room with Merlin since it’s the only room I can offer you.” Lilith nodded in acknowledgement.
She went up to the room to put her things away. But as she was about to open the door, she felt magic being used. She turned around to see Merlin’s eyes fade from the glowing gold to his normal hazel eyes.
Walking into the room and surprisingly it was clean. (So that is why he must be using magic) She put her things away and sat on the bed when suddenly she heard commotion back down in Gaius’ office. “ Merlin, I have been calling you!” a young male voice yelled . “ Sorry Prince Arthur, he was gathering supplies for me” Gaius stated.
When Lilith heard this, she went to see what was going on. “Gais, what is going on ?” All of the men in the room stopped talking and looked at Lilith. So Lilith has finally seen what her brother looked like. He was the first to speak “ Hello, my name is Arthur, what’s yours?” Lilith smiled at her brother “Pleased to meet you, your highness, my name is Lilith Raines.” She said bowing to him. “Pleased to meet you Lilith. But please call me Arthur.” Arthur said, kissing her hand. He looked at Merlin and replied “better be in my chambers in an hour.” With that Arthur left the room.
“ Well he seems nice,” Lilith said sarcastically while smiling. That caused Merlin and Gaius to laugh. Lilith knew she would get along quite well with the two.
