My heart lays Frozen

The years have gone by

I'm always left, asking why

No matter how hard I try

There's no more tears left to cry

What did I do or what did I not do

To end up with someone like you

To what do I owe the pleasure

Of never being someone's treasure

My heart lays frozen

The blood no longer flows

Life rushes by but time slows

My heart lays frozen

Everyone dreams of fairytales

It all becomes lies, when reality pales

You are told to wait for your prince

When he comes bumbling in, you wince

Is he a keeper or do you look deeper

What will you find and will the price be steeper

He tells you what you want to hear

When trouble comes, he's nowhere near

My heart lays frozen

The blood no longer flows

Life rushes by but time slows

My heart lays frozen

I dream of your single touch

It may not matter to you much

A little bit of time in your day

Makes a difference and goes a long way

It made my day, when you reached out

Oh boy, if I could, I would to the heavens shout

So after carefully considering, I pray

That you don't turn out to have feet of clay

My heart that lays frozen

May have begun to slowly melt

Friend or foe, I don't know

It certainly is heaven felt!
