“ Mom Can I go?” Alec, my 23 year old brother asked Mom as He walk towards the sofa table to get the remote control of our television and I sat down beside him to watch together with him.

“ No. Mico and your dad is coming. You should sit still there. Your dad has something to discuss to us about.” My mom said blankly, “ You know my rules Alec!! family first. “

“ But Mom. I have a meeting.” He screeched. “ So? Sit still.” mom commanded, Alec sighed. And began to call the person He’s meeting with.

“ You are still a baby? Little bro.” I chuckled

“ I am not” Alec chimed, as look at hum amusingly.

“ You are both my babies.”Mom mumbled from the kitchen who is now preparing our lunch and then the bickering started.

I and alec bickered in the sofa, while mom is doing our lunch as we waited for dad and Mico, and it was no fun.

It was unusual until Dad and Mico arrived. I was supposed to be having a lunch date with my besties today, which is not a good idea, considering we are on a family day which mom had requested.

The entire afternoon consisted of bickering, having time of the day trying to consume every part of it.And the complaining of Alec towards Mico, which Migo ignore until the day passed.

We were having the time , when suddenly our door bell rang, “Shit.” Dad cussed.

“Dad!!” Mom shouted glaring, as She tapped her hand towards Dad’s shoulder reminding him of his cussing words.

“ Mom, I forgot. Jimmy is coming.” Dad says, hysterical staring to mom fearing to mom’s reaction. Dad’s knew mom’s rules and that is, No one can ever disturb our family day. And that is why, He is now hysterical. The ruthless magnate “ Alex Ameler” is afraid of his wife. What a great man!!

“ It’s okay Alex.” Mom sighed. This was a first… I then look towards Dad and my two brothers who is now looking at Mom with their shock faces. “ I’ll take a look Mom.” Still shocked, Mico say as he walk towards the door opening it. I rolled my eyes.

“ Sorry Aunt.” A guy in a leather jacket said to mom as he entered our house, surveying the surrounding of our house.” Excuse me?” I narrowed my eyes at the man and crossed my arms. “ Don’t you know we have something here? Are you that hurry to break our supposed to be family day?”

“ I didn’t know. I thought today is supposed to be the signing of our contracts as partners.” He says calmly, holding a file in his left hand, rechecking it. “ So you don’t even bother notifying dad first?” I said staring at him as his head jerked up looking up at me head up to toe, taking in my yoga pants and white shirt. “Fuck” He breathed the word, which is sensitive to my mom’s ears. “ Mind your tongue, Sir. Youre in my house.” Mom said calmly. Whatever what he is thinking I don’t care. He sighed. “ I’m sorry Aunt.”

“ Mr Elemere I’ll wait. I’ll go first.” instead he said, giving up. “No..No. You stay.” my mom say, and point our dining to urge him to sit there.

“ By the way, sorry for my daughter’s behavior. She’s just a bit dismayed. I hope you understand.” Mom added, then the guy faced me an incredulous look. I just ignored him and faced mom, smiling. Moms blue eyes that were visible as she smiles back to me. Then I turned back to the guy. “ Stop pretending to be nice will you? You jakass!!” I said, as he run a hand through his black hair, trying to fight the urge of lashing at me, as if his charms can be a big help to him. ’I’m not.” he said as he reached into his pocket and pickout a candy as he plucked it into his mouth.

“ Stop it Sis. Jimmy is kind. He’s my bestfriend I always tell you about.” Mico said, butting in.

As Mico explains the binds and nots of the contract, I stared at the woman with the feisty attitude. She was obviously trying to keep her cool for her family, letting them know how she prioritize their rules and gave importance into it.

Her name is Mica Emeler, the only sister of Mico, my bestfriend. The thing that keep me wondering is, the thing that she couldn’t know who I was? My corporate was one of the top 3 out of ten endeavors in business industry and I had just created a name in this industry as one of the largest corporate handler and owner since I was 15.

The first time I saw her is when Mico lend me his wallet and there I saw her through the picture. A family picture. At first, I thought she is a spoiled brat kid, who only know how to spend and waste money.I mean, she look sophisticated, sexy and mature in the picture but when I saw her earlier, the kind of wearing she wear was ridiculous, but that wasn’t the case at all. She had this personality that made me closer to her. The personality, I needed and wish to have.

It was actually refreshing that she had this kind of personality. She didn’t even look at how manly or good looking I was. All she cares about is her surroundings, family other than that nothing.

Damn, she was cute.

I smiled, despite the fact that She’s far from the girls I hooked up.
