Chapter 1/The Beginning
My name is Lily Marie I’m currently 19 I graduated five months ago from Pacific Jr. Sr. High School. After graduation I really wanted to get a job at Safeway which was my major goal. I’ve always wanted to have a job especially when I was in high school but that never happened. I’ve only volunteered two years in a row for the Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving also with the help of my sister Faith. Throughout high school I’ve been very shy, I never talked that much expect when my teachers called my name. I was also apart of a phenomenal book club where I learned to spread the love of literature to my fellow book club members. Literature as always been my passion since the end of elementary school where I discovered my love for reading. Besides reading I was found sewing, and also doing gymnastics with my sisters Faith and Stella we were referred to as “The Gymnastic Sisters.” My mom is my bestest friend she’s always had my back when life got rough without her I wouldn’t know what to do. She made me smile every single second she was the most funniest mother on the whole planet I would never ask god for a different mother I was perfectly happy with my very loving mother whom had a kind loving heart I would be heartbroken if she ever left me. I also really loved my sisters Faith, Stella, and Ariel even though they got annoying at times I could never depart from them they were my sisters and I loved them. Since graduation I’ve been helping out my mom with this daily chores. Taking my sister Ariel to school whom was in the eighth grade currently attending Pacific High School. My younger sister Stella was currently attending Pacific Elementary School she was in the sixth grade which marked the end of elementary school.
I walked absolutely everywhere. Walking was my form of escape, my family and I would walk all the way to the watering hole during the summer time. I was lost in thought while I was reading a book. I received a message from Safeway since I applied online for the grocery department position and then finally got back to me. I called them back right away,” Hello this is Pauline how may I help you?” The lovely voice said through the receiver.”Hello Pauline I’m Lily Marie calling about my job interview.” Thats when she declared.” Thanks for calling me back your interview is booked for tomorrow I hope you have a wonderful night Lily Marie.” She said in a friendly manner. I ended the call and was ready for my job interview tomorrow for Safeway this was just the beginning.
