Chapter 1
The start
In 2014 a class decided to make a time capsule and bury It in the ground like all time capsules. The teacher made the mistake or Is It a blessing at this point we don’t know. The teacher did not revIse what the students were putting in the time capsule. The stereotypical quiet kid knew that if she took this chance she could indirectly solve the neuro murder. She managed to sneak a badly taken picture of the killer Into the box. “ phew, that was easier than i thought.” she whispered only loud enough for her to hear. “Now all we need to do is wait.”
Enough backstory speed up the time 2514 the world Is In shambles. The air permanated with dust and ash. The gray clouds covering the sun bellitilling any piece of sunlight from going through. The snow as white and pure as angel wings and as cold as hell. The crunch of pedestrians’ boots was somewhat calming. The metallic taste in yui’s mouth became a norm for her. walkin back from her meeting she longed to just be able to teleport to just appear in the meeting spot where one of her friends was waiting. She eventually makes it to the meeting spot.
“Hey hey Yui what took you so long.” Yui’s best friend Ziwomzi or Zizi as people call him. “ You know that the women’s meetings last longer than the mens, I wonder why?.” Yui responded the duo started walking towards Yui’s house and an adult ran past them and tripped on something in the snow. The adult got back up and continued running. “What was he running for?” “I didn’t see anyone chasing him.” Yui asked in confusion. “I don’t know, I wonder what he tripped on?” the duo made their way over to the mysterious object as they got closer they could make out the words ``He will prevail in bold curved letters. “He will prevail, what does that mean?” Yui asked, puzzled. “I don’t know, wait, isn’t this a capsule?” Zizi asked while pointing at the object, “yea i think it is.” Yui said, turning over the object in her hands.
“WELL what are you waiting for,open it!” Zizi asked impatiently. Yui pried open the dull metal cylinder to find random and weird things in it, mostly papers that have been yellowed with age, empty syringes, a wrench, a remote, ect. The one thing that caught the attention of the two was a photo. It was blurry but you could make out the silhouette of a person, the only flash of color was the dirty worn down doctor’s outfit. It was torn as If they had run through a rose bush.
“ Yui can you read cursive?” Zizi said pointing to the back of the photo. “Yea i’ll read it for you.” On the back of the photo it says neuro killer 2014, never found, killed 200 people and is still going officially-the quiet kid.. “ It says neuro killer 2014 never found, killed 200 people and is still going. WAIT OH MY GODS THIS IS THE SAME DUDE THAT WAS ON THE NEWS IN THE MEETING TODAY?” Yui yelled suddenly. “ Wait yall watched the news in your meeting? We just talk about sports in the guy’s meetings.” Zizi asked. Yui was quiet thinking about how the same killer from 2014 is still alive in 2514. That’s on the dot 500 years. “We should find Wyring to see if he knows anything.” Yui said, granted she had a good idea but do you think that a kid the same age as them would know anything.
As they made their way to Wyring’s house they had a long way to go so they decided to talk to each other. Zizi was bad at starting conversation, he watched Yui’s dark colored skin hug her red coat as her blue snow boots destroyed every snow poff she encountered. As she was walking. He stared infatuated with her curly black hair tucked under her purple cap. Yui saw him looking at her with a red face. “What’s wrong zi?” She asked worryingly, Zizi could feel his heart speed up from hearing her soft voice. “ N-nothing I-I was j-just looking at the snow on the ground.” He tried to convince her with his face turning redder every second. Waving his light brown hands in front of his face.
Even though zizi is a full 4in taller than Yui she reaches up to touch his face. “Hey your face is red, you were looking at me, you’re flustered that i’m touching your face. Hmmmm.” Yui deducted. “Do you want to tell me something or do you like this?” yui said as she gently tugged on his brown trench coat and whispered in his ear under his brown fedora. very flustered turned his head away stubbornly “N-n-no.” he said reluctantly. “Tashkani.” Yui said in japanese zi didn’t know what she said but acted like he did. They spent the rest of the time walking in silence as Yui accepted her win. As they came up to yui’s house. They saw wyring standing there waiting for them in a white, orange, red and green striped shirt with light brown pants pushing up his glasses. “Hey wyring what are you doing here?” yui asked, confused.
“Well i was getting impatient so i waited for you at a closer place i knew you would pass by.” He replied. “Well it was a waste of time, we need your science and analisis kit.”Yui said knowingly. “ Well I’m gonna take a shortcut to my house to get the stuff. It will take a minimum of 2 minutes if my mom and dad are asleep. If not, then I won’t come back.” He said that last part with a hint of fear in his eyes. Before he could get into his “shortcut” Yui caught a look at his ankles and wrists. He was bandaged and it was soaked as if it was a fresh wound. “HEY COME BACK HERE!” Yui called out to him. “What?” He replied a bit sourly. “You have bandages around your arm. You love your arms and skin so this was made without your permission. Your ankles are something you always hated…. I bet you have bandages on your stomach also.” Yui said, analyzing the situation while lifting Wyring’s shirt up. underneath his shirt the bandages that hugged his carmel colored skin were fully red. “A HA I KNEW IT YO-!” Yui yelled in triumph only to get shut down by wyring putting his hand over her mouth. “ don’t need everyone on the street corner to know about my injuries ok.” Wyring scolded her. “Ok ok but just hear me out i know what you are doing and i am going to help you stop.” Yui whispered in his ear.
“Anyways you better go fast If you don’t want your parents to wake up.” Zi intervened. “ fine I will go.” Wyring said while disappearing into the bushes. “Yui What did you say to him? He doesn’t normally do that.” Zizi asked,wagging his finger up and down in circles around her mouth. “ nanimonai don’t worry about it.” She said with a smile that made his heart flutter in his chest. While they were waiting yui pulled out her phone and started playing something the only word zi could make out from the snow and darkness of the phone was “sweet a-. “Yui what are you listening to?” Zi asked, startling her. “N-nothing why do you need t-to know?” “I’m just curious i only saw half the title.” Yui looked relieved but before she could do anything Wyring emerged from the bushes.
I’m back and I got the stuff now, let’s go inside and see what you want me to see.” Yui and Zi nodded and went inside with Wyring. Once the trio were inside Yui closed the door to her room and motions for the boys to sit down. Since neither of the boys had seen Yui’s room so they looked around. Her walls were yellow and her bed was purple, the floor littered with mechanics, clothes, pencils, papers, pens, wires etc. She had a dresser facing her window with a camera sitting on it facing the room. In one corner there were beanbags, 3 of them in all. One purple, one yellow and one white.
Yui was the first to take off her coat and winter attire. Revealing her blue and orange shirt over a white long sleeve shirt. White pants with red splotches and green mix match socks shaped like wrenches. Zi took off his ridiculously long trench coat and hat showing his black shirt white pants, clean and pristine. Letting his unruly brown hair out from under the hat. Wyring didn’t wear any winter clothes. He isn’t affected by the cold. As Yui jogged to drag the bean bags over to the boys, Zi couldn’t help but stare at her. His dusty purple eyes swept across the room to keep him from overthinking about her.
“Hey Zi why were you red earlier when y’all walked up your face was redder than normal?” Wyring asked looking around the room. “Uhmm w-what do you mean my face was the exact same as it always is.” Zi rebutted stuttering. Before Wyring could explain yui came back with the bean bags “ok now that i have two sitters let’s get down to business.” Yui said while sitting down in the purple beanbag. Zi sitting down in the yellow one said “ We found this gray circular capsule in the snow after someone tripped over it.” “Yes and we found a picture that was a bit confusing on the age end. We thought you would know and explain it to us.” Yui added, handing the picture to Wyring who took it. Well bas- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!” he shocked everyone by screaming and throwing the picture away from him. “What ar- AAAAAAAAHHHHH SPIDER!” Yui said, trampling her bean bag trying to get away from the arachnid. “Calm down it’s just a spider it’s not even that big.” Zi said picking up the paper and taking the spider off of it handing it back to wyring. “Here I didn’t know you had arachnophobia. I knew Yui had it she nearly tore my face off getting away from a daddy long legs.” Zi told Wyring as Yui was still skeptical to say anything or get closer to her bean bag. Reluctantly she stuttered “l-lets g-g-go outs-s-s-side p-please.”Shaking as she scooted closer and closer towards the front door. “Yea i know a place we can go i don’t think it’s still standing but we can try.” Wyring proposed. “Sure let’s go i’ll get my stuff.” Zi responded walking towards his coat. “Sure I’m down for anything if it means getting away from that insect.” yui shivered as she put her winter clothing back on. “Well let’s go.” The trio walked out of Yui’s room to be greeted by snow and cold. Yui and Zi following Wyring were confused because they had never been to this part of New york. “Oof!” “Oof!” wyring suddenly stopped causing Yui and Zi to slam into each other. Yui caught zi and pushed him up but since she was shorter than him she pushed his stomach by accident and made him double over falling butt first into the snow.
“OMG I AM SO SORRY are you ok!?” Yui asked in shock and instinctively grabbed his hand and pulled him up. Surprised by the sudden push and her grabbing his hand Zi stared at her in shock unable to move. Immediately Zi got up and just stared into Yui’s eyes, his beautiful dark dusty purple ones staring into her beautiful light brown ones. Only a few seconds passed but to them it felt like an eternity, until “Hey doves I know y’all like looking in each other’s eyes trying to find Jesus or something but we got shit to do.” Wyring broke the silence causing Yui to laugh and break eye contact with Zi. “ HAHAHA WELL YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO GO ALL IN.!” yui howled in laughter holding her stomach with tears in her eyes. Yui got over her laughing fit and walked over to a little snow poff preparing to jump in it when suddenly a book popped out of the poff “AAAAAAAHH!” She yelled as the book sprung up catching the attention of the boys. “You found it! good job Yui.” Wyring complemented. Yui, still shaking, looked at him and fell face first into the snow. Wyring sighed, picked up the book in one hand and yui in the other and walked over to zi who of course overreacted. “WHAT HAPPENED IS SHE OK!?” He shouted. “She’s ok it was shock and adrenaline. it made her black out, shes fine. “ Wyring reassured Zi. Wyring set Yui down next to him with her head on his lap and brushed off the snow clinging on the front of the book. Zi asked“The history of, what happened to the rest of the title?” Wyring mumbled “must have been the snow ruining the ink.” Zi shouted“What are you waiting for, open the book!” “fine! Since you’re inpatient.” Wyring huffed. He opened up the book and stared dumbfounded at the black stained pages. “What? What’s wrong with the book?” zi asked. Wyring still in shock couldn’t talk or move so zi decided to look at the book himself. “Why is this ba- OH this was the history book right? Zi questioned. “Yes this is a history book but i guess it’s history now.” wyring explained. Wyring saw yui twitch as she tried to fake being asleep. To which he promptly stood up causing yui to fall into the snow that she was resting on. “You’re not slick yui stand up we gotta go back.” Wyring scolded her. “Dang it, I thought I could lay there for another 5 minutes if I was lucky.” Yui gave in and stood up catching some of the snow that had gathered on her jacket made a medium size snow ball and chucked it at Zi. Zi looking the other way got hit by the snowball. “Oof, YUI!” Zi yelled as he grabbed snow from the ground. “There’s more than where that came from jiji!” At the same time Zi and Yui froze at the same time zi’s face turned red and Yui turned around and flopped into the snow. Zi managed to say “You haven’t called me that in a long time.” “yes i know I didn’t mean to call you that it slipped out by accident.” Yui responded half covered with snow. “Y’all good can we get going. I want to get out of the snow before it becomes heavy.” wyring said laughing at the circumstance. “Yea now you’re acting like an overprotective boyfriend.” Yui said, sticking her tongue out. “Yea wanna test that theory.” wyring said with a smirk. “Be-huh?” before she could finish he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his chest, laid his head on top of hers and put her hand on his heart. Feeling his heartbeat Yui involuntarily closed her eyes. “Hmm so you admit it? Huh puppy~.” Yui upon hearing the nickname quickly opened her eyes and backed up stuttering.
“Wha- why h-h-how do you know that nickname!” she demanded. Simple i looked around your phone.” Wyring confessed. At this point Zi knew they needed to go. “Hey Since you like invading privacy, let’s invade yui house.” he interrupted. “Wow! Finally I was waiting for it.” Wyring exclaimed. “Anyway we should be going, Come on yui”. Confused, Zi walked over to Yui and hugged her holding her hand. He led her behind him. They arrived back at Yui’s place but before they could go back in, Yui directed them behind it. She looked around and motions to the back of the cement box. All of them quietly walked behind the building. “Why are we going back here.”Zi asked.“Someone is here now shut up!” yui hissed. But they saw nothing.``Hey, when was there so much space back here”. Wyring said “What do yo- OMG THEY HOLLOWED OUT THE FOREST?” The forest behind Yui’s room was always blocked off and full of plants and bushes but now it’s like walking into a new world. Its lime green light radiating off of the trees like a curtain. Snow falling ever so gently through the air. “Wow!” all three of them gasped at the same time. They were so busy marvaling about the sudden change in scenery they didn’t notice the figure sneaking up behind them. Suddenly Zi yelled “ FALL BACK!” At the exact same time Yui Wyring and Zi pushed each other backwards falling on their attacker.
“Ack!” The mysterious figure was sent to the ground off balance but wasn’t stunned for long. The attacker got down low and swept their leg causing Zi to fall. The attacker stomped on Zi’s ankle, breaking it. Knowing Zi was out they came for the other two. Yui tried attacking, jumping on the attacker. She wrapped her legs around the strangers torso, grasped their shoulders and pulled backwards hoping to pull down the person. But the attempt was in vain, the attacker stopped for a moment just enough time for wyring to try to disbalance them. Moving with the speed of light the stranger shook Yui off causing her to twist her arm upon contact with the ground then in the same breath catching Wyring’s leg and twisting it. “OW!” “OW!” they yelled. Holding both of the children the stranger took off the mask. A dark skinned feminin face with dark purple hair emerged from the mask. You possess information that I can not allow getting to the public. “So i will give you two choices, die on this very ground or become a killer like me.” the stranger unsure of whether they should let the kids go decided to let the kids go. “Well there is no safe way to put it, no. I would rather die than become a killer.” Yui refused the offer with determination. “No, just plain no.” Wyring also refused the offer. “Well that’s too bad because you don’t have a choice,” The murderer said. “ IF WE DIDN’T HAVE A CHOICE IN THE FIRST PLACE WHY WOULD YOU GIVE US THE OPTION TO REFUSE!?” Yui shouted. The stranger didn’t answer and Instead tied all three of the children up and walked out of the forest.
A week passed and it finally made the news that 3 children went missing.
