Prologue
It all started with a shot, a seemingly innocent shot. Like the flu shot, only it wasn’t. The news started going on about a new deadly virus. Apparently, it was bad, worse than anything that had popped up before. Worse than the H1N1 and H2N2 combined. It went on for a couple of months. Soon everyone was wearing hospital masks and only going out if it was absolutely necessary.
After about three months they created a vaccine. They called it H3N3, yeah real creative. A month later everything got back to normal and then strange things started to happen. Of course, the news said it was nothing to worry about. Some people were having allergic reactions to the H3N3 vaccine. Yeah right, it wouldn’t take a month for that to happen.
Now see more people were getting sick after the vaccine, weird, right? Yeah, a lot of people thought that way. We were told everything was fine, but it wasn’t fine. Nothing was ever going to be the same again. How do I know? Well, I’m currently sitting in a school with my family and about fifty other people; waiting for god damned FEMA and their supplies to show up.
They are never going to show up. This world is gone and we are going to have to suck it up buttercup or become one of them. I’d rather die than become one of them, most people do. All it takes is one bite or scratch and you’re done. You either die, become one of them or you survive it. It’s rare, but some people do. But anyways, like I said everything seemed fine until people started getting sick. Then they would disappear from the hospital and show back up three days later.
That’s how long the change takes, three days, if you survive it. Some would come back changed, some would come back normal, and some didn’t come back at all. The ones that came back changed, changed everything. Not sure why they didn’t just kill them. Maybe they didn’t think this would happen, but what do you expect when you use your own people as lab rats? You see our government has been experimenting with mind control and super soldiers for decades and each time they think they got it they test it out on us.
That’s why we have all these diseases, just government fuck ups. Don’t believe me? Look it up, but here are a few to get you started. After the H1N1 scare, there were a few “crazies” that popped up. A guy in New York was taking a stroll through central park. He stopped at a bench, got this weird look in his eyes and they turned red. Looked down at the bench and jumped on the homeless man lying there and started eating him. Dude got shot and killed by cops when he went after them.
A new mom in Connecticut got “sick” the day after she got her shot. Her husband came home from work to find her eating their baby, he went nuts, killed her, and then himself.
Then there was the H2N2. Had a few “crazies” pop up after that one too. A guy on a plane started biting and eating a passenger, then collapsed and died.
Some dude walked into a Walmart in Texas and started biting and eating the door greeter. A customer shot him before the cops got there. So yeah, you’d think they would have learned their lesson and just stopped, but no had to have another go at it. Probably should have quit while they were ahead, but nope. Must have thought third time’s the charm, yeah right, that’s why there are monsters hunting us.
Some of these people don’t believe it as the government, some believe it is god smiting all the sinful people. Yeah right because kids and babies are full of sin, right? NO! more like people trying to play god, but screwing it all up.
So anyway, the world went to shit a few months ago and now we are stuck in a school waiting for FEMA to show up. That’s never going to happen, our food supply is getting low. My hubby and I along with a few of our friends are thinking of going out and looking for food. Crazy I know, but we don’t want our kids to starve. But anyways my name is Ava and let me take you back to the day when I noticed that the world was going to shit.
