"Wow, just wow this book! Despite some darker moments (serious triggers include non-con SA, incest, violence and abuse toward heroine), I am glad once the hero got the heroine, he always managed to "save" her somehow. I love hero's possessive disposition and how he can be gentle toward heroine at the same time. I also love how the author detailed the heroine's struggles to want a man who killed her father mercilessly. And the hero, the hero, Kaldan, Kaldan, Kaldan - he is so awesome he made it to my favourite book boyfriend of all time! His might and brilliant leadership as a king and his alpha-maleness toward the heroine is right up my jam! There were quite a lot of spelling and grammar errors and a good tidy up would have made the reading experience much better but I am not complaining since I still very much enjoyed the book. There is some strong writing here, with an intriguing plot and good character development. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who love a good fantasy romance, filled with kings, wars and packed with an extreme high steam! "
