Horrifyingly Horror!

"That little girl is so freaky/creepy! The was she's described reminds of that movie The Grudge where there's some creature with long hair and we can't see their face and they keep disappearing and reappearing all over the place — horrifyingly horror, which I'm sure is the point of that genre, lol. On the other hand, while it's a good story, I noticed some parts either had details that weren't so necessary (she wrapped a towel around herself, etc), and other parts didn't have enough details (maybe some specific examples of the kind of horrible experiments that the asylum performed on its patient, like electro-shock therapy — I think that's what it's called, etc). Some parts could be shortened down to just include description that's necessary/significant, while elsewhere could be expanded so it's not just 'telling' us what's going on or what happened. Horror is not a genre I've read much of, but this one so far has been spine-tingling. Very interesting story!"

The girl in the window

"The story was good but more of a backstop was needed what kind of asylum it was what was known to be done there and her researching finding out about the little girl going back again then getting in to trouble not all at once would have added suspense to the story but good for a short story well done, "

Interesting plot, could use some cleanup

"I enjoyed the overall premise of this story - a child ghost is always spine-tingling, especially one who makes no attempts at pretending to be innocent. However, I found that the grammar and tense issues within the writing were distracting, and I think that the story could get some real punch with a good editor to tighten up some of the descriptions and remove some of the repetitive language. I also would have liked to know more about why Effie targeted Athena specifically. Why let Athena go? Why come with her? Why her when, ostensibly, no one else had been let out? Who was the ghostly woman in the pictures with Effie? Some extra time spent fleshing out the world and the characters would make this story even more creepy and suspenseful I have to say, though: the scene with the priest and the glass was very visceral and definitely made me cringe. Well done there. And I did enjoy wondering if her being out of the asylum was even real at all or just a dream. I think this is really promising and I would love to see more!"
