~ AMALIA ~
POV
I yawned stretching both my arms as I sat up the my bed, it’s was a beautiful morning - I got down from my bed and opened the curtains as the bright lights flashes my view, I blocked it with my arm smiling - It’s was really a beautiful morning indeed
“Wake up, sleepy head” I muttered tickling my best friend Violet, she groan chuckling “Two more minutes, Amy” She mumbled covering herself up with the blanket, of which I instantly took it off her
“C’mon, Vee. We are going to be late for work” I said pulling her up “Work?” She mumbled opening her eyes slightly “Yes, work, dummy” Her eyes widened as she immediately jumped down the bed, rushing towards the bathroom - I shook my head softly, I also need to go get ready for work
25 minutes later
Vee and I was done getting ready for work, we both left our apartment and took a cab to the coffee shop where we work - Our boss Octavio Doriga was already fuming, he glare deadly at us from distance, “I think we are both screwed, Vee” I muttered biting my bottom lip
“Why are you both just coming now?” He snorted, “Do you both think your father own this coffee shop?” He sneered “We were only 10 minutes late boss” Vee said rolling her eyes at him, he frowned “ The rules states that you’re not allowed to be late for a single minute, let alone 10 minutes or did you forget?” He asked with a glare
He’s a ruthless man, I’m not surprised, I sighed and apologize instead “Sorry boss, it won’t happen again “ I pinched Vee to also apologize to him, so we could just get get to work cause there was no use in arguing with him, it would only get complicated “Ouch, what?” She asked rubbing her arm “Apologize “ I whispered “What for?” She responded and I sighed
“Forgive us boss, I promise it really won’t happen again “ I said apologizing for the both of us cause Vee was acting stubborn and now is not the time for it, “I’m going to let you both off the hook this time but there won’t be a next time, I’ll get you both fired, do I make myself clear?” He snorted “”Loud and clear , boss” I responded
His gaze moved to Vee but she stayed quiet “Do I make myself clear?” He repeated again and I had to pinch Vee again for her to respond “Crystal, boss” she responded dramatically “Good, now you both get to work and don’t be a lazy ass” I nodded softly pulling Vee along with me as we both wore our uniforms and started working
Few hours later
Some strange looking men walked into the coffee shop, it was obvious they weren’t here to order for coffee but for something else that I know nothing of, one of them walked up to me “Where is your boss?” He asked in a mannerless tone, I can’t help but smell nothing but trouble “Who are you?” I asked politely “Don’t asked me dumb ass question and quickly tell me where he is right now “ he snorted glaring at me
“He is in his office “ Vee responded behind me pointing the way to Octavio’s office before I could answer the rude man, the man walked pass me with the rest of the men “Why did you tell him, Vee?” I asked “Can’t you see that they don’t look like good people, I smell trouble from them” I said and she rolled her eyes “Who cares if they smell trouble or double trouble, let them deal with him, that’s he’s problem Amy”
I shook my head softly and got back to work, suddenly we heard loud noises coming out of Octavio’s office, it was as if they were hitting him - I gasps covering my mouth as I rushed over to the door trying to figure out what was going on inside “Get away from there, you fool. Those men won’t spare you if you get involved nor will they think twice before hitting you even if you’re a woman, all for what? For that stupid man who is obnoxious and selfish” She hissed
“But-“ I started but she cuts me off “But nothing Amy, stay out of this” suddenly Octavio was dragged out of his office like a trash bag causing me to gasps as he was thrown to the ground , right then an elegant hot and handsome man walked in with both his hands shoved in his pocket as he glare down at Octavio with a sinister grin, I stared blankly at his gorgeous face and sharp jawline that turned cold in a blink of an eye “”What do you think, Octavio? Do you really think you could just mess with me and get away with it? No way you bloody idiot, I’m here to make you pay for your sins” His cold Italian ascent and husky voice boomed as he continue glaring down at him
“Please forgive me LuciAno, I’m sorry. I promise never to-“ Before Octavio could finish his words the man standing squats down beside him on the floor and broke his arm causing me to gasps out loud “Omg “ I screamed as I watched Octavio groaning in pain on the floor, the mans jaw clenched “quiet, Angel” He called me an angel, just who is this man “LuciAno, please-“ Octavio started to speak again but before he could finish his second hand was also broken causing both Vee and I to jump in fear as we both ran for our lives cause it wasn’t funny anymore, some men caught us and hold us down before we could leave
“The more you try to apologize, the more pain I will inflict on you Octavio, I told you that it would cost you dearly for messing with me, I’m going to be the last thing you ever see before you go straight to hell you fücker “ He then brought out a gun causing my eyes to widened, he’s not going to kill him, is he? “No, please LuciAno, don’t-“ The man cocked the gun and pointed it at him “”See you in hell, Octavio “ He muttered before blowing off his head making his blood spread through the coffee shops floor , seeing that I fainted instantly.
