Chapter 1
I walked all the way back to my car,I was angry and frustrated and top it off the sun was blazingly hot,I was sweating in places I didn't think I could,and my client stood me up,I could not wait to finally get home to a long cold shower. I got in my Lexus and hang a right but just before I could make the turn completely my eyes collided with a man not two feet away from me,I thought I saw Mike my ex husband,but no my mind must be playing a trick on me, Mike was halfway across the world surely it couldn't have been him. How could he be here on my corner of the world,wasn't his world big enough already that he had to come back here? Even though his family and mine were actually neighbours I did not see how it was possible that he was here. I willed him out of my mind and raced home, when my little bungalow came up I felt relieved, this was my safe place,my Haven in times of fear,my hiding place in times of war,and if that man was around it was surely time to run and hide. I woke up early the next day hoping to meet my client"again" made myself a cup of tea,I love my tea Never could understand coffee,as I was quietly enjoying my tea there was a knock on the door,I did not move an inche hoping whoever it was would leave quietly,so I can enjoy my cheap breakfast in peace,diiiing the sound of my door bell kept on and on,I hurried to my front door with a frown,I never did like morning visitors, I looked up at my visitor and wished with all the heavens that I had slept in and never heard my door ring.
