And so I found myself there at the precipice. Staring out at a vast world completely alien to me at first, it began to unfold like small fragments of glass shattering into a trillion parts. Three habitable planets gave birth to humanity within the same solar system, these three worlds would grow to form the Federation. Handorians were warriors by nature, Valentians focused mainly on technology and negotiating, while the Zaldorians had deep spiritual roots and adapted towards magical abilities.
The Valentians reached the stars first and reached out to both brother worlds - the alliance they formed sent them quickly into a golden age as military and spiritual minds mingled with the technological geniuses. They shortly discovered a way to create an unlimited power source by creating artificial universes - calling them cores. The Federation built exploratory vessels and unlocked Faster Than Light travel shortly after, before they sent explorers out in all directions.
They began building a fleet of capital ships to defend their empire, as they negotiated and brought more humanoid species into the fold - until a few thousand years passed and they began forcing worlds to join the Federation or killing intelligent species that did not fit what they wanted to assimilate. The Zaldorians no longer saw eye to eye with the other founders of the Federation, causing them to take their capital ships and begin a rebellion - which ended in their defeat one hundred years later.
At the end of the conflict, only one Zaldorian Capital ship remained, the only remaining titan class vessel in the galaxy, the 'S.S. Vendetta'. With three billion remaining Zaldorians, they fled to a world they knew the other founders would not take interest in and founded their first city, Havenlock, on a bug planet. They lost millions of citizens to the planet and ended up fleeing the construction of the city for another type of planet the Federation would not bother with due to its jurassic inhabitants; while they lost part of the Vendetta to stow aways from the previous attempt.
They founded the mountain city, Valhalla, within the biggest mountain on the new planet. After its careful construction nearly two hundred years later, the Zaldorians sunk the S.S. Vendetta beneath the ocean on the planet they named Vendora, causing catastrophic damage to the surface of the planet. Over the next hundred years, they formed the Pirate Nation and created a system that suited their new life. The system was based on reputation of individual families who fight the Federation as pirates, leading them to take in surviors of the Federation's holocaust on the galaxy over the course of twenty-thousand years... until Reine Zoe Xavior was born. Then everything changed....
