Chapter One- The Confession
“Oh my gosh! Stop it!” I push him off of me, trying to catch my breath. “You know I hate being tickled!” He smirks. “I know that’s what makes it more interesting.” He had that same old smile on his face like he always did. He had been my best friend for about a year, but that was about to change.
He pulls me in close by the waist. “Emilia, I want to tell you something, but I don’t know if I should.” he stares into my eyes. “And why is that Mr. Williams?” I asked. “It’s because you wouldn’t let me tickle you, Miss. Torres,” he says jokingly. “Just tell me, please.” I kept pestering him. I really wanted to know what he was hiding from me. “Okay, okay, chill. I’ll tell you what it is.” He takes a breath, and grabs my hand. “Emilia Torres, I am in love with you.”
I gasped, I was in shock. “You’re joking right?” I had to reassure him he wasn’t kidding, but something in his voice told me he wasn’t. “Nope, I am not joking. I love you.” He sounded so confident when he said that. “Well, Lucas Williams, I love you too.” I looked into his sparkling brown eyes. He was so beautiful looking with his brown hair and his brown eyes.
He pulls me closer to him and stares into my eyes. The soft touch of his hands around my waist gave me a safe feeling. He leans in and our lips meet. As he kisses me, his hand moves up my torso a little bit. We stop kissing and our eyes meet. I felt trapped in his eyes. It felt like time had stopped. It felt like we were lost in a moment.
“Emilia, you’re so beautiful, I can’t even express how much I love you.” His voice was so soothing. I loved listening to him speak. His voice moved me; it was like no other. I have liked him for a while, but I didn’t dare tell him that. I am glad tonight came. I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.
