Prologue

Clouds painted the sky. Raindrops sprinkled down on every single black umbrella. Frowns holding back tears as the small coffin sank into the ground. A baby, seven months old, Died from unnatural causes, but no one wanted to talk about why they only wanted to talk about now. What now for the Walkers family? The family that just lost the youngest member. They sat down in the front row and hadn’t blinked once as the coffin disappeared into the ground.

There was the mother, her blue eyes filled with care but now overpowered by regret, and her brown hair quickly brushed without care.

There was the father, his brown eyes were holding back tears as he tried to be strong. He wiped his eyes and ran his hands through his blond hair.

There was the firstborn, daughter. People say she looks like her mother. She even shares her birthday, she had just turned seventeen.

Then last but not least, the son, twelve years old. His hair was a dark blonde and his green eyes stood out in the rain.

Why them, why now, why just why does everything go wrong when things are finally becoming perfect. Why when their life was turning better than before. But there was no need for why only now. What will the Walker family do now? What will the mother, Lana Walker, the father, John Walker, the daughter, Emma Walker, and the son, Jake Walker do? Their life was turning upside down and would only turn more. Lighting broke through the sky, making the sky light up. The lightning hit a nearby tree causing the tree to light on fire. While others reacted the Walkers just sat there as nothing happened. The heat burned high and the rain did no good to put it out. The Walkers just sat there, they would not leave their seats until they see the hole filled. They would not leave until they’ve finished saying goodbye and who knows how long that would take.

Sabine : For this to be a Fantasy story; the plot is very interesting, and the need to be accepted, loved and mated is depicted as a universal need regardless of species. This is one of the few books that has been able to hold my interest, and I'm enjoying reading it.

Knox Hollow: Little Bunny

Neenee73: The author managed to weave instant tension and mystery from the get go. It was a balancing act that kept me guessing and made everyone look like they could be a villain which is on par with the great writers of mystery like Agatha and Doyle. I was jumping at every creak. If you like tension in ever...
