The Year of the Tiger

"I am so pleased that I persevered with reading this story, after the first chapter which I found rather confusing. It turned out to be one of the most compelling and exciting stories I have ever read. It must have been a difficult tale to write, but I found it extremely interesting and full of intrigue, with the usual mind-blowing descriptions that I've come to expect from this author. There were chapters concerning the girls in the school which were so hilariously funny that I was sure I would die laughing, followed by others which were so serious and gut-wrenching that I was crying like a baby. A definite roller-coaster ride of emotions! I even found myself reading the dialogue of Mr. Henry with a broad Yorkshire accent (if that's possible!) The mystery surrounding the 'school ghost', Cedric, was charming, and of course, the inevitable love story between the blind Phillip, and the red-haired Ruth, as the four-hundred year old Thurston curse was put to rest, made this tale one of this author's best ever. A must-read for everyone!"
