~Chapter 1 ~. How it started
I stepped inside my room and breathed a sigh of relief. Slowly as to not cause it to hurt a unfurled black wings that were normally free. When they are closed they ached and were uncomfortable. A warmthed spread from my back to the tips of my wings.
" What the hell?" I whipped around to see Brayden standing in my door way.
" What are you doing here?" I demanded, black lighting dancing across my fingers.
" Y-your mom let-let me in."
" I'm home alone today, so she couldn't have let you in."
" Well somebody let me and she sure seemed pretty nice and she smelt nice too"
" Just stay here imma go check it out. To see if anyone broke into my house or if my mom is really home. I'd be surprised if she is. She hasn't been home in weeks."
Brayden plopped down on my bed as I went down stairs. Everything seemed normal until I see a figure in the kitchen.
As I step closer to it. It seems to move further away from me. I send a power ball to it and it dodged it pretty well. I did manage to skim it's arm though. I thought to myself " this obviously is apparently a shape shifter but how did it get inside my house."
I send another power ball at it and this time I didn't miss. The shifter starts shifting into different creatures as the electricity goes though it's body. It soon dies off and everybody knows that when a creature dies it either fades away or it come back to life for a different plot. Lucky for me it was fading away and I rush up the stairs to my room taking the stairs two at a time.
I open the door to find Brayden rummaging through my drawers.
" What the hell are you doing Brayden?" He jumps about a foot in the air as I walk over to him.
" Nothing important, how come you have this in here."
