One: Woke Up Confused
She woke up confused, realizing she wasn't in her room. Then she heard her alter ego's name being called.
"Come down! Your brother's already eating!"
She sat up and began to think. Okay, she called me "Enna". But in which alternate universe am I? Mean Phantom? Soft Phantom? No Phantom?
"Enna! If you don't come down now, I'll tell your father--"
She sighed and went downstairs, yawning.
As she went down, she saw glimpses of what she needed. She realized this was an AU that connected all of her ideas. She was in her unstable AU, the one where she wasn't able to control her powers as well as she'd like.
She was living the life she wanted.
She sat down as her mother, Athena Vexlix, talked. She ate breakfast and payed half-attention.
She couldn't believe she was now in a universe where she had powers. She'd been in her room, staring at the pale soothing green walls as she fell asleep with her notebook near her. And then she woke up to pale yellow walls and to Athena's motherly voice.
[An Hour Later]
"Enna, we'll have to blend in with these folks. The students from UA don't know you're--"
"Unstable? I know, I know." She mumbled, sleepily. She felt tired and wanted to collapse on the ground. Or in her brother's arms.
If she'd known she'd wake in a different world, she would've slept earlier to enjoy her time being. She was only able to function because her body grew used to it and because she was using her last resort: music. The song playing at the moment made her feel badass.
Her brother, Zen, tapped her shoulder and then pointed at the front gates of their new school.
She looked and sighed. "Let's just go. The sooner we get out of this place the better."
Zen frowned, noticing his sister's gloomy aura. "Sis, I know you miss the gang back at our turf but...you got me, and our older brother, Alec."
She half-smiled. "I know, Zen. But I can't help it. This place will force me to show my powers and I'm too unstable to risk hurting someone I love. You were there when I snapped last time, remember?"
Zen shuddered at the memory. "Don't remind me. You screamed for a solid thirty minutes as if someone were either raping you or murdering you and it freaked me out. Then you suddenly stopped and began to circle the class as if they were prey....oh, and don't even get me started on the nerve this guy had to grope you while you were in that state of mind."
Now she laughed. "I dealt with him before he could form a word, though!"
Zen shrugged. "Hey, just because you ended his whole career doesn't mean I wouldn't have minded if you had let me join in on the fun."
Their older brother, Alec, appeared behind them and he wrapped his arms around the twins shoulder's, making them yelp in surprise. "Don't forget how she kissed that one guy a few weeks later."
They glared at her as they remembered. It all started when the boy dropped his sketchbook down near her feet and she had picked it up and then gave it to the sweet boy.
Enna blushed, remembering the events all too clearly. That sweet boy had worked up a lot of courage to kiss her and she had enjoyed it.
That was why she managed to not lose control of her powers for a while. Then a new ability was unlocked; losing control of a few of her powers when she became aroused. The first time it happened, she was mortified because it occurred near her brothers.
She was on a date, both of them were bookworms so they went hunting for books together, and then she caught him smirking at her as he peered over her shoulder as he read a page of a romance novel. She started to become aroused and then several books from their pile began to float in the air.
Her brothers were spying on them. (She didn't know that at the time) And the boy only chuckled as he realized why the books were floating.
"....stop looking at me as if I committed a crime. I only ever received kisses from him. Hmph."
"Alright, twin. But you're only saved because we need to get going and because he's not here."
Her face heated even more and she practically ran inside the building and grabbed her schedule. She muttered a curse under her breath when she saw that she would be with class 1-A.
She wasn't cut out to be a hero. She was too destructive to be one. She was better suited to be a villain or something. But her powers were too unpredictable for her to be one so she would've preferred to be in the general studies.
"Hey, don't mutter curses. You know that any word you utter has an effect on others."
She almost screamed. Almost. She turned and glared at the handsome blonde. "Stop doing that, Carter! I could've hurt you if I was--"
Carter rolled his eyes. "Sure, you could. Anyways, your father said that if you back out of this mission, you'll be stuck with me." He frowned as he continued. "Basically, you'd have to 'babysit' me."
She bit her cheek, trying to not to laugh. "He must've figured out that I'm more responsible than you. Then again, I think you scarred him when you were making out with your girlfriend and was about to move to the next stage in our shared space."
His eyes widened in surprise as he face flushed with color. "Since when do you act like this? You've never said this to me before...were hiding this side of you from me?"
She shrugged and glanced back at her schedule. "I need to go, Carter. My brothers are walking towards us now. And you, sir, need to get a life."
