Tell her my starry sky

Skyline with perfect horizon line with sea. The Torrens river is silent in the evening. A man, with a mobile phone in his hand, quietly runs by the river.

“Three years ago,a little dispute,She said let's break up. When she went down the stairs,I pushed her. So she forgot everything about us,also forgot my fault.I really hope she remembers me,even if ,only remember my fault. But she remembers anything,only forget our past, and she has forgotten who am I.”

“Afterwards,She returned to her hometown as she wished ,HongKong, to learn Cantonese Opera, which she is passionate about,and I stay in Australia. Adelaide,My hometown,whenever I look up at the night sky,this starlight,I think of the first time she saw the starry sky.She said she had never seen real starry sky outside the Planetarium, Because she lives the city ‘s sky always grey. It was the first time she had seen the real starry sky,Adelaide’s starry sky she will remember it forever…I don't know whether she remembers this starry sky now?...”

Blue sky with some clouds in Hong Kong. Tall Building, look like steel and tempered glass' jungle. Archie stops her hurried pace at the Bridge and look upon the sky. The sky is covered a few clouds and those clouds are blown by a breeze. The Crowds walk past Archie. The breeze blows Archie's hair. She gazes into space where cars below the bridge. Ryan carrying a CAMERA BACKPACK walks hurriedly past Archie. He glances at Archie,His girlfriend, and then at the time shown in his phone. He passed from Archie, He didn’t saying anything, even a word“Hi”. He disappeared in the crowds at the end of the bridge.

Archie removes the CHINESE OPERA HEADDRESS and COSTUME. Chinese opera makeups still remains on her face. She looks at herself in the mirror depressed and applies cleansing oil on a cotton in her hand,removes Chinese opera makeups by the cotton gently. After removing the makeups, Archie's beautiful face in the mirror ,have not make up, pure natural. She unties her ponytail and combs her hair by a hair comb. The dressing room is very silent and darkness. Suddenly, someone KNOCKING the DOOR. Archie runs over to the door lock it and leans against the door. Someone shouting at outside the door. "We are from the school newspaper, Archie, we know you're inside, we had interested to know how do you feel of hurting your classmate in the preview. Do you intentionally hurt her, don't you ?". Archie leans against a door and looks up the LIGHT of the dressing room overhead. She forgot everything, why she was doing that hurt “classmate” ,why! KNOCKING DOOR’s sounds shaking her heart. She feels very lonely, no one understood her, and no one trust her. Most people always like to hear the story like this ,whomever intentionally hurting else, maybe a competitor,best friend,lover, whatever,just a breaking news, their favourite. Archie closed eyes.

“Eh, it seems no one inside.Have you seen her outside the room?”. “No”. “Is there any other doors of this room?”. “It seems have.” “Fuck me. Where is it? You still here...hurry up, silly! Go...”. STEPS SOUND of a crowds leaving away. Archie finds silent outside the room. She put on her clothes and carries her backpack, open the door. Ryan who looks at his phone standing at the door . A camera backpack is put beside his foots. Archie is surprised, and Ryan smiles slightly, “Don’t worry, I am not reporter.” He looks at the direction where the crowds leave away and gives an OK gesture to Archie. Archie puts her palms together and said thanks to Ryan , and then carried her bag walks away in opposite direction.

Archie carries her backpack and escapes from the Campus. “Alas. Archie, I finally find you.” The REPORTER raises his camera and rushes to her. In order not to meet the reporters' Archie crosses her hands to hide her face and wants to run away but she is blocked by another Reporter. Camera flashlight blinks and clicking sounds are heard. Archie feelling her arm is caught by someone and she is taken from the reporters and she runs away with him. They run past the crowds at the bridge and run past cars in traffic jam. The lightings in front of Archie shakes and is mixed up.

They stop outside a BAR and look at each ,Archie recognizes this is the man who was looking at his phone outside the dressing room. They break into smile,lean against the wall and rest in taking some deep breath. “Well.. if we stay here maybe they'll catch up. Do you wanna go inside to hide? Maybe have a drink?”, Ryan looks at Archie and smiles. Archie looks up at Ryan a bit confused, but then she notices the sign of the bar “ Em!..maybe.ok...Sure!”, “...Cool! Let's go!Um.. , I'm Ryan!”. The man gives his hand to Archie. Archie holds his hand “Archie”. This hand…Archie suddenly felt …A very familiar feeling, seems to be in the deepest memory, forgotten, but it exists forever, just a touch, that it's feeling immediately come back . “I know you”,Archie said to Ryan. “Who are you?”,Archie asked. Ryan look at Archie, “I am Ryan.”, smiled. Archie embarrassed, “Sorry, I just feeling something, we were know eatch other before,your hand…like…”. “like your boyfriend.”, Ryan said and wry smile “It turned out that you forgot him, but my hand reminds you of him. " . “ Maybe I forgot a lot of things, but if I have a boyfriend,I will never forget him, forever.” , Archie said ,but at that moment,she was not sure, because she feels …She doesn’t know whether what she said was true,she have a bit confused and takes a sip of beer. BEER FOAM sticks to her lip. Ryan signals there is foam on her lip. Archie removes the foam with her finger, embarrassedly.

Ryan didn’t say anything.

“So! Why were you outside the Dressing Room tonight?”,Archie asked. “Well, Ahm. I was waiting with for my classmates from the Film TV school.”, Ryan says, “I'm from Australia! I'm here on exchange actually, for this semester. The friends I was waiting for were going to show me around Kowloon, but that's when I saw those guys from the newspaper just start shouting for you. What happened tonight?”. “I...accidentally hurt my classmate when we are in rehearsal. Anyway, the problem is we are, or were, competing for the main role. That's why the reporters were chasing after me. They think... They think… me did it on purpose…I really forgot what happened actually, and why? Perhaps I did it on purpose, like they thought…”. Archie in her mood dark. She finishes her beer and just looks at the glass.

At the same time, RYAN looks at his beer, then at Archie, silently. “You know...you are a lot like my girlfriend. For real! I mean, just look at the photo!”. Ryan takes out his phone and shows it to Archie. Archie holds his phone. A PHOTO of Ryan and a CHINESE GIRL witting at a table drinking tea. This Chinese Girl's face is the same as Archie. “Oh wow! Wow, even the tea cups...”,Archie look up at Ryan. “She lost memory... remember everything, except me, she forgot me...and with me everything”, Ryan staring Archie. “So you also forgot her!” Archie asked with head down. “No… …but perhaps I want to duck out of it... before,…”Ryan said and stopped.

Archie brewed tea for Ryan, pours hot water to tea set slowly for washing the tea set and then put TEA LEAVES into TEA POT. She pours hot water into the tea pot. Tea leaves rolls in the tea pot. Archie places a lid on the tea pot and pours the tea from the tea pot. It’s all In Archie’s mamory.

Yeah, you are very much alike. It's not just your looks though. She always struggled with her passions too. She wanted to do so much, but sometimes it was just so hard. She didn't cry always felt responsible for others,Ryan thought. But, she always kept going! She would make herself a cup of tea, calm down, and then, bamn! Let's try again. Because no matter what happene d, she loved what she did.

Ryan picks Archie's hand , and brings her to leave the bar.

Ryan and Archie walk slowly at a pier. SHINING LIGHTS from the lights of buildings at the opposite shore.Ryan and Archie look at the lights and rest for a while.

“You know, my girlfriend said before, Australia is at the center of the galaxy. So, we can see beautiful starry sky anywhere in Adelaide. it is like this shining city.” Ryan said to Archie, and she look at the lights of buildings at the opposite shore. “I never seen the Adelaide’s starry sky.This shining city is our 'starry sky'. I think I must take my responsibility of our fault. The best way to correct the mistakes is to do what the best I can do! Thanks for your beer, Ryan. It makes me want to see the starry sky in Adelaide!”,Archie said and then lifted her head and breathed in the wind the unique smell of the sea.

“You’re really forgot everything, Archie!” Looking at Archie in front of him,in Ryan's brain never stopping back to the voice, that made his heart hurt. “ You said you never seen starry sky of Adelaide before.” Ryan feels his heart is breaking and said to Archie.

“Yeah,but You can tell me!”, Archie said innocently like a kid.

Ryan keeps talking with Archie in sea breeze. Maybe he told Archie , one of the most dazzling starry sky in the world they had seen together in the Adelaide Hills, maybe he told her they were a couple. They watch the 'starry sky' of Hong Kong, that is beautiful, the lights from the buildings.

“Archie. do you remember me now?”
