Summary

Be advised: I'm only posting drafts, errors are expected and I'm glad to learn about my mistakes. I'll read every comment and follow anything that I see to work. Being an alpha stage story, all details and plots are a subject to change. . . . The world, naturally, is chaos and order. And with their equilibrium preserving itself at all times, no complete peace nor absolute destruction can be achieved. However, it's anchor can be moved between the pans. And to get your part of the world to either side is not about morals nor is it about good deeds. It's all about the best hands and guns money can buy. All is a mean to an end, but Spectrum care not about balance nor about the world. They are a portion of the best hands and guns bought, only money wasn't their price, but to each their own desires that Angel took leverage upon. And what they paid with in return wasn't only their services, but their whole lives and freedom. After all, how can one say nae to the face of death when one wants to live? And as Ethan says it best: "Only an idiotic ignorant fool goes to Angel by their own feet."

-Prologue...

"Almost 2 decades past since the fall of the USSR. Almost 2 decades since the end of The Cold War. And yet... the reality didn't change a even bit: War wages on the east and west, north and south alike and the world just keeps watching and licking the boots of the high-end generals, eh "History is written by the Victor." They say." Said a rusty yet clear voice of an old man covered in the dark of the shadows that hid both him and his chair, facing flat screens each showing the events he's talking about. "As for the leverage waging itself? The US is thinking about 'leaving' the Middle East next year and focus on Afghanistan, mainly thinking they can scare off Russia, Russia on the other hand's going to wage war in Crimea in the next 2 to 3 years holding their spot deeper inside Europe meanwhile, China is just being China." The old-not-too-old man showed a tone of disgust in his voice and stood up from his chair, standing in the dark still, but his fancy suit was recognizable. "It was by time the deprived need of ours to stop these atrocities and arrogance, but dare you talk and have yourself a hole in a graveyard with 'Terrorism Mastermind' sculpted into your tombstone just below your name. In result: We only worked in the shadow as our ancestors always did, making sure each and everything of what I said and more happen as they're supposed to just as our ancestors always had. And now we change the world in the light and that's what they never tried, now we work beneath the sun rays, now we start the war to stop them all, now we pause history and now we remind people that not the Victors write history, but the ones with the largest leverage. "Your mind is your best weapon." They say, and sure as hell do I agree." The voice finished and finally walked into the light of the screens, just enough to see his clear violet eyes and strings of his bleached white hair.

-Krylo-2 D'arc

• "Krylo-2 D'arc to base, come in!" The pilot of the Dutch marked Mi-8 called on the radio and received only static in return as he maneuvered between the missiles and the rain "Krylo-2 D'arc to base, pick up! Anyone! I'm being chased by 3 hostile Gazelle Helicopters. They've chased us since we entered Idlib's territory and have taken down the escorts accompanying me! They're currently chasing after my aircraft and they seem to know what I'm transporting. I'm low on fuel and the Helo is bad enough shape, I'll plead for landing and safe passage from the Turkish airspace control- FUCK! I'm hit!" D'arc let out as a blast shook the whole helicopter in the air and sent it in a flaming swirl descending in altitudes gradually "Mayday! Mayday! Krylo-2 D'arc to base! Can anyone hear me?! I've been hit and I'm going down, attempting belly landing near the river west of Black Eye village! The package is at risk, I'll do my best to keep it safe, but it won't be enough. Send in Spectrum! I repeat: Send in Spectrum! Krylo-2 D'arc going down! Over and out!"

The 2 mercenary teams, Spectrum and Coriander set in the hull of the An-12 transport aircraft getting ready to be dropped about 3Km from the AO. Each of the 8 soldiers putting on their dropping equipment, getting their loadouts drop boxes ready for the jump and hoping not a stray missile from the battle they've just crossed strikes them down like the pilot they came to rescue. The lights in the hull turned red and everybody stood up in line as the doors opened revealing intensive missile and air activity in the west as the flied east and thick fog on the ground. All operators wearing protective helmets, breathing masks connected to breathing tubes and parachutes for the drop. The hull itself had a Gaz Tigr MRAP vehicle topped by an wipes-suppressed, Acog equipped M2HB MG and a Honda CRF-R dirt bike military-graded. All coloured in white to match the snows on the ground including the camo on the clothes and crates. Oh, and Jacob the white wolf with red eyes, geared up for the drop like everyone else.

• "GET READY!" The pilot called through the speaker "We're only 5Km from the first drop point!"

• "Roger that!" Odin responded then looked at Blue who is designated the first to drop alone on the mountains "How the hell are you going to snipe through that fog?!" He asked him in a most English accent

• "I've readied an IRNV scope with my rifle, shouldn't be much of a problem, mate!" Blue replied in his Australian accent so his origin

• "Always account for shitty weather, don't you?" Velvet, a mix of Scottish, Australian and Irish accents, told him

• "That what makes me a Sniper and you a Marksman!" He replied and the hull lights turned green

• "Spectrum-4, take the drop, in 10! 9!" The pilot counted down

• "Aight, good luck, you bastard!" Velvet said to him doing their handshake "See ya on Bird's or in hell!"

• "You too, cunt!" Blue replied then got behind his sealed loadout box and got ready to push as the countdown got near to an end

• "3! 2! 1! DROP! DROP! DROP!" The pilot called out and Blue pushed the crate followed by the bike with so much power they got tossed out the plane and he had a moment to run a the remaining steps and bolt into the air

• "Hawk-2, this is Spectrum-3 Blue. Now airborne. Over!" Blue said going down vertically to maximize his falling speed and accuracy

• "Copy that, 3. Good luck! Team Coriander! Your drop is in 10! 9!" Hawk-2 started counting down again for the Dutch team to drop

• "Roger that, 2. Getting ready for airdrop!" Lukewarm replied "Alright, good luck, assholes! See you later! Ishtar! Stallion! Get the brakes of the MRAP's shipping rack. Bible! I'm pushing out this loadout crate you get the other; it's showtime!"

• "Don't start the fun without us!" Gurutski said

• "Don't get late for it!" Bible replied

• "3! 2! 1! DROP! DROP! DROP!" Hawk-2 called out again and Coriander team all pushed what they got designated to push then followed by jumping into the air

• "Hawk-2 this is Coriander-1 Lukewarm. All Coriander units are now airborne. Over!"

• "Roger that, Lukewarm. Out! Spectrum! Get ready! Your drop is in 10! 9!"

• "Gurutski, get the other crate, I got this one!" Velvet instructed

• "Copy that." Gurutski replied

• "3! 2! 1! DROP! DROP! DROP!" Hawk-2 called for the last time

• "Alright, let's roll out!" Odin ordered and the 2 teammates push out the crates then all 3 of them jumped out the hull with Velvet Strapped for Jacob's rig "Hawk-2, this is Spectrum-1 Odin. All callsigns Spectrum are now airborne! Over!"

• "Copy that, Odin! I'll take this bird and return to Kaliningrad. Bird will pick you up when you're done. Happy new year, folks! Hawk-2, over and out!" Hawk-2 finished banking hard to the left and going right back the way he came from

All 9 operators thrusted through the foggy air and clouds approaching their designated landing zones and kept going down vertically until each reached a certain altitude on which they switched horizontal falling with their limbs separated to halt the speed and get a more accurate landing when they open the parachutes. And the first to open one was Blue on the mountains.

• "This is Spectrum-3 Blue, parachute activated, landing now. How copy." Blue called going down slowly and steadily near his gear crate and bike

• "Copy that, 3, get into position and wait." Odin ordered

• "Welco. 3 out."

• "Coriander-1, this is Spectrum-1. How far are you from activating the parachutes? Over."

• "Roger Odin. Few 100 meters left. I'd say about 13 seconds. What about you? Over." Lukewarm replied

• "23 seconds left till parachuting."

• "Damn! You guys are fast!" Stallion stated

• "Well, we dropped all out at once and not like we had a car to push with us." Gurutski replied

• "Fair enough." He replied then got ready to pull "This is Coriander-4, parachute!" He called launching it

• "Coriander-3, parachute!" Ishtar followed

• "Coriander-2, parachute!"

• "Coriander-1, parachute!" Lukewarm called last "Good luck, Spectrum! See you on the ground!"

• "Copy that, Lukewarm!" Odin said then got ready to pull the string himself but was proceeded by Velvet

• "Spectrum-2, parachute!" She called out pulling it first and ejecting a white parachute umbrella

• "Spectrum-4, parachute!" Gurutski followed

• "Spectrum-1, parachute!" Odin called, last to break his fall

• "This is Spectrum-3 Blue. In position. Over." Blue called

• "Roger that, Blue. Stand by for orders and hold your fire. Over." Odin replied

• "Spectrum-1, this is Coriander-1 Lukewarm. All callsigns Coriander have landed safely and the MRAP is ready. Waiting on you now. Over." Lukewarm said 15 seconds after Blue's announcement

• "Roger that, Lukewarm. Spectrum landing in 10. Over."

• "Hey, it's also so goddamn cold down here, so keep that in mind!" Bible stated

• "We'll do, Bible. Spectrum, landing now!" Odin finished with his boots hitting the ground then rolled to minimize the impact and crawled out from the beneath the parachute finding Velvet and Gurutski putting their gear on from the crates and are waiting for him

• "HOLY SHIT BIBLE WASN'T LYING!" Gurutski said "IT'S SO FUCKING COLD!"

The squads, each on within their landing zone, secured their designated drop boxes, put off their jump suits and redeemed their pre-set loadouts. Odin, a squad leader and communications: His main is an AK-74M with a holo sight proceeded by a magnifier, an infrared laser sight, a wipes supressor, a vertical grip and a custom stock. His secondary is a Makarov pistol free of all accessories except a wipes suppressor. His knife a soviet rifle bayonet. He wears a Kevlar helmet with a NV goggles, a medium class armour/rig, and a heavy carry backpack with the most of it filled by his comms device. Lukewarm, also a team leader, but a grenadier. His main is an HK-416 attached with an Acog sight, an infrared laser sight, a wipes suppressor and a 40mm under barrel grenade launcher. His secondary is a Glock-17M attached with a laser sight, a wipes suppressor and a reflex sight. He holsters a tactical blade on the side and a whole rack of 40mm grenades on his heavy-duty armour/rig. His backpack is also heavy duty and he wears a protective Kevlar helmet equipped with NV goggles. Bible, the machine gunner and ammo warehouse. His main is rather simply an FN Minimi LMG with an acog and a wipes suppressor. His sidearm is a Glock-17M with a laser sight and a wipes suppressor. His melee is a tactical blade and backpack is a heavy-carrier filled mostly with ammunition for the whole team, his rig is a tanker-level armour and he wears a bandana on his head instead of a helmet. Velvet is a marksman. Armed with and lefthanded-converted SVU bullpup marksman rifle equipped with a 8x scope, an offset reflex sight, a custom handguard, an infrared laser sight, a wipes suppressor, an angled grip and she also has her callsign engraved on the dust cover. Her sidearm is an imported FN 5.7 equipped with a laser sight, a reflex, extended magazines and a wipes suppressor and she holds a karambit blade. She wears a tactical fully customized Altyn helmet equipped with NV goggles-although she doesn't really need them and are just a suspicion erasers-, a light backpack and rig/armour. Then, she equipped Jacob with his rig, armour and body cam. Ishtar is a designated anti-tank. Her main is an M4A1 carbine with a red dot sight proceeded by a magnifier, an infrared laser sight, vertical grip and a wipes suppressor. Her side arm is a Glock-17M with a wipes suppressor. She also carries a Panzerfaust 3 rocket launcher next to her heavy carry backpack being mostly filled with extra rockets. She wears a mid-level rig, a baseball cap backwards and an eye patch on her left eye covering the one she lost in battle. Blue, stranded alone on the mountains, a long-range sniper. His main is an imported M2010 enhanced sniper rifle equipped with a 40x scope, a spring action bipod and a wipes suppressor. His sidearm is a P226 equipped with a laser sight and a wipes suppressor and he keeps a tactical blade on. His backpack is heavy-duty rated just like his rig and he wears an S10 S.A.S gas mask and a bonnie hat with the right side folded upwards. Stallion, the medic, carries an imported MP5 SMG equipped with a reflex sight proceeded with a magnifier, an infrared laser sight, an angled grip, a wipes suppressor and a custom stock. His sidearm is actually a Mossbern M590A1 shotgun for close range combat equipped with a laser sight and a wipes suppressor and he has a standard military blade. His rig and backpack are light carriers consisting of mostly medical supplies and he wears a Kevlar protective helmet. Gurutski, the tech guru. He holds an AKS-74U assault rifle attached with a holo sight, an infrared laser sight, a vertical grip and a wipes suppressor. His secondary is a Beretta M9 equipped with a laser sight, a reflex sight and a wipes suppressor and he also has a karambit knife. His rig is a light carrier and backpack rated for medium duty. He wears no helmet, only a strapped NV goggles topped with headphones and a facemask with green monster fangs on it. All operators made sure all their equipment is on the ready, cocked, loaded the weapons and rolled out to business. And while everyone used NV goggles to see, all that Velvet had to do was narrowing her pupils to activate her natural infrared vision range from being and Arkhavolk.

• "Carpenter, this is Spectrum-1. Do you read? Over." Odin called over the radio

• "Loud and clear, Spectrum-1. What's your status?" Carpenter, a man's low voice, answered the call

• "We've landed at the designated LZ, geared up and ready for action. Over."

• "Copy that, Odin. Remember: Your mission is to locate and rescue the package and the pilot too if possible."

• "Understood."

• "You don't seem really keen on saving a teammate like you are on this "package", huh Carpenter?" Lukewarm pointed out

• "Priorities are set by Angel and by Angel only, Coriander-1."

• "Amen to that." Bible said

• "I received a call from Krylo-1 Bird, he'll be in your airspace soon and available for air-support. Until then, try and keep it quiet people, will you?"

• "Will you pay us for it?" Velvet asked

• "What? No, you signed your payments beforehand."

• "That's your answer then, mate." Blue said

• "We'll get the job done, don't worry. Leave the details for us." Lukewarm stated

• "Hopefully details we get to erase. Alright, good luck down there. Carpenter, over and out!"

• "Alright," Odin started "The crash site is 1.8Km to the south of her in the river. We'll start from there. Search for any traces of D'arc and keep going."

• "Mind you, it's secured with a whole insurgent squad, 12 total, all heavily armed with a technical mounted with a DShK on its back." Blue noted from his spot

• "I'm pretty sure you can take down that gunner for us." Lukewarm stated

• "That's more than twice the effective range to this rifle, mate."

• "Is it bitching that am hearing?" Stallion mocked

• "Nah, just reminding you that I can still make such an impossible shot."

• "Yeah, we'll see about that. Velvet. You move in a wide flank through the western half of that village just in case we need closer support. Take Jacob with you." Odin instructed

• "I don't like the smell from that direction..." Velvet complained "But aight. Welco." She answered and started moving "Jake! Let's move!" She called Jacob and he answered by following her

• "Alright, Spectrum on the move. Over."

• "Roger that, Coriander, Oscar Mike." Lukewarm responded

The whole squad started marching to their designated locations to surround the fallen Mi-8 Helicopter with Krylo-2 written on its tail and secure it, Coriander flanking from the east and Spectrum from the west while Blue watches from about 3.5Km from the mountains and Velvet settles in a few meters behind a window in an abandoned house on the western end of the village, 630m from the crash site with Jacob watching her back while Odin and Gurutski are settled about 300m away from the Heli, ready for action.

• "This is Velvet, I'm into position. How copy?" Velvet called out then shook her head for a quick relief from the vile smell "Howfs/smells like jobby/shit in here..." She commented to herself

• "Copy that, Velvet. Coriander in position?" Odin asked

• "Affirmative. Coriander ready and the M2 is hot. On your go, Blue!" Lukewarm answered

• "Roger that, taking the shot." Blue answered and exhaled slowly as he pulled that trigger ever minimally, planting a .300 Magnum in the DShK gunner's head tossing him off the truck dead and raising the signal for the Russians and Dutch to drop the rest

From Velvet's scope, she took down 2 unsuspecting hostiles from the far south as Odin dropped 3 on eastern side with a single shots spree and Gurutski taking 1 on the closer north and missing the one next to him wasting 10 rounds which Velvet had noticed and dropped for him. That was weird, but she wouldn't stress at the moment. Meanwhile, Stallion opened fire from the M2HB MG on the western side dropping 2 hostiles on the further north while Bible dropped 2 on the closer south and the last 2 closest to the Heli got dropped by Lukewarm and Ishtar.

• "All clear!" Odin cleared

• "Stallion, Gurutski!" Lukewarm called "Get down there find anything useful. We got you covered!"

• "Roger that!" Stallion responded and left the machine gun and slid down the hill cliff then walked across the shallow river towards the Heli from the west

• "Understood!" Gurutski replied running down the fields toward the Heli from the east, meeting Stallion before the backdoor

• "What's good?" Stallion asked switching from the MP5 to the Mossbern just for the moment

• "Cold, sleepy, with a gun. You finish the story." Gurutski answered watching around the area before following Stallion inside the hull

• "Guess Geroy didn't take kindly on you in the last few days." Stallion said scanning the hull carefully and quickly with his barrel up

• "I wonder what makes you say that..." He replied mockingly

• "Lukewarm, Odin, this is Stallion. All clear in the hull. No sign of the package neither of D'arc Over."

• "No shit, Sherlock." Bible mocked

• "Hey, I don't make the protocols!"

• "What do now?" Gurutski asked

• "Keep with the original plan. Coriander taes the western bank, we take the eastern one. Keep searching until we get it." Odin stated then called Carpenter "Carpenter, this is Odin. How copy?"

• "Copy, Odin. Speak up." Carpenter responded

• "No sign of the package nor D'arc. Stage Karakand's failure as expected. Moving to Errand. Over"

• "Roger that, Odin. Moving to Errand. Keep us updated. Carpenter, over and out."

• "Alright. All callsigns Coriander, this is Coriander-1. Regroup on the vehicle; we're moving out. Over." Lukewarm ordered

• "Gurutski, come back here; we're rallying on Velvet. Over." Odin called

• "Roger." Both Gurutski and Stallion responded "Alright, good luck for your folks, buds." Gurutski said extending a fist bump

• "You too." Stallion replied extending his back and bumping, then he turned around to regroup with his team as Gurutski did the same

• "Velvet, can you..." Odin stopped to not seem rude

• "Dog-smell D'arc? No, but I smell a shitload of corpses."

• "How many?" Gurutski asked

• "It's so dense, might as well be half the village."

• "More than 24 hundred souls used to live here, are you saying that you can smell about 1.2K bodies?"

• "Did I stutter?"

• "Fuck..." Odin cursed "Any life ones?"

• "Negative. Only eight insurgents scattered around the village. I can hear them chatting."

• "What a massacre..." Gurutski commented

• "Aye, but it's not our business to care."

• "Can you tell what they're talking about?" Odin asked as he and Gurutski reached the edge of the village, giving the sign for Velvet to change her spot

• "Negative; they're speaking Farsi." She answered

• "Understood. Alright, lead us through this place, will you?"

• "Welco." Velvet answered going through all her hearing ranges "Hold positions, folks; 5 insurgents are on the western half of the village." She said then kept moving forward for a designated building in her mind with all her sense open, just in case. Only to be rewarded by spotting every corpse in her way and the scent of blood almost covering up the scent of the living insurgents, but at least she didn't mistakenly trip into a pool of villagers' blood

• "Roger that." Odin responded

• Velvet entered the building with her barrel lowered knowing no threat is in the house, beside the potential biohazard from the dead family corpses scattered around, until she reached the third floor's balcony and stood a few metres behind it, still concealing silhouette in the dark while being able to look over the whole village then started pinning everything she heard, smelled and seen "Odin, 350 metres bearing 95 is a hostile under a cooncil juice tank, relaxed." She reported then changed her focus direction

• "Roger that." Odin responded walking towards the target carefully, trusting the senses of his Arkhavolk A teammate

• "Gurutski, bearing 126, 560 metres, a hostile in the open, aware."

• "Understood." Gurutski replied and went to his designated target, trusting her just as much as Odin did

• "Jake." She turned to her Arkhavolk B "Go for the middle one, I got the other 2." She instructed knowing he understood every word she said

• "I hope you don't get me killed." He barked, but Velvet understood as if he was speaking English, they're blood bonded after all

• "As if you don't reek them too!" She responded "Just get your crease out there and bite! Go now!" She ordered then turned to look through the balcony

Two targets in her sight: One at 500 metres bearing 90 from her on top of a roof: She dropped him without second thought. Then She turned quickly to drop the other further out at 520 metres bearing 100 in a crossroad right in the open: Blasted his brain matter out in a sensitive trigger pull then waited her teammates to report their body drops. First being Jacob who simply barked into the mic on his rig.

• "Got him." Odin reported

• "Hostile neutralized." Gurutski said

• "Aight, there's a tall lanky poofy/pink building near the road, bearing 97 from you, Odin. Rally down there then we'll move to take down the 3 on the other side. Over."

• "Aren't we going to leave any for interrogation?" Gurutski asked

• "Can you or anybody here speak Farsi?" Velvet asked

• "Fair enough." He replied then spoke something on his mind "And since when does a Major Sargent boss a Captain around?"

• "Since Carpenter booked the ISR for Barend's crew and all we got left is my eyes, nose and ears." She said marching for the rally point in a steady speed, seeing only more dead families along the way

• "I know we don't get paid to care, but damn this shit is horrifying." Gurutski stated

• "I know. All the hopes and dreams for these families and bairns got wiped out in less than a bloody day."

• "Ironic."

• "Well," Odin intervened "let's hope Angel turns an eye their way and send some folks to fix this. Until then, we're ought to find D'arc and the package and that's about it."

• "Understood." Gurutski responded

• "Aye, aye, Captain!" Velvet replied

Odin walked barrel up on all time and overworking his nose to not step on a body by mistake, didn't work so well, but still. From his point of you, the whole atmosphere looked fairly weird: The village was built on a typical Arab Sahara architecture, yet coloured in white. White walls and fences that blended to the snowy white grounds and if that wasn't weird as its own, add to that the scattered blood stains, corpses, limbs and guts, making the whole place look like a Flood's outbreak from Halo, but gorier. And with crows feeding on whatever they could land on and wasn't frozen beyond edibility. And he just kept walking between those Resident Evil alleys trying to ignore the scary theme until he reached the rally point to the back of the pink building before his teammates and waited scanning around him with his barrel up, lowering only when he saw Velvet with Jacob coming from his right and Gurutski from the left.

• "You alright, Velvet?" Odin asked

• "No, my hooter's pure burning from all these bodies. Sorry, lads; gotta give up my smelling for a moment." Velvet apologized

• "Guess you can't spare us intensively searching one last house at least?"

• "Well, I can't hear a thing in there, but I can't guarantee you there isn't someone standing still, waiting." She said pinching her nostrils and trying to pull back the tears

• "Wonderful! Guess we're keeping our barrels up anyways then!" Gurutski stated

• "Guess so..." Velvet replied

• "Alright, if you're done bitching ladies, let's go!" Odin said "Spectrum-1, breaching!" Odin called out then kicked in the back door and aimed his suppressed barrel around followed by Gurutski then finally Velvet, all scattering around in the ground floor which was...

• "HOLY FUCK!" Gurutski cursed in a whisper "Holy mother fucker! All of those kids!" He stated the sight in front of him, about 11 children corpses scattered all around the floor, kids' tables and chairs

• "Must've been the village's daycare." Odin stated "Angel will now happily send forces down on those insurgents; this whole massacre is just a massage of upcoming genocides and conflicts." He finished then pointed everyone to follow upstairs and keep Jacob watching the ground floor

• "So, they're going to speil heroes even though they've done worse?" Velvet asked following last and watching the back

• "Heroes? No." Odin responded "They just simply won't let some group start another civil war in the middle east right under everyone's nose." He said aiming down the ail as Gurutski and Velvet searched each room quickly for contacts and only found more bodies of children, parents and teachers along the way

• "I shit you not: They'd end up exploiting the war. That's how Angel really works. Although, what do I care? It's all beyond my paycheck."

• "All depends on what Angel would want at the moment."

• "Want to bet?"

• "Later. Focus now." Odin said going up the second staircase followed by his teammates

• "I don't care what Angel does. If those assholes get what they deserve in process, I'm good." Gurutski said making sure the last room of the second floor was cleared then followed Odin with Velvet up to the 3rd floor which was just an wide open office with a balcony overlooking the village

• "Oh, they will: That's the only way for Angel to set a foot in here without being kicked out by the UN." Odin replied leading towards the balcony then untoggled his NV goggles and equipped his binoculars to spot targets since Velvet wasn't able to smell again yet

• "As I said: Speil heroes." Velvet replied looking through her scope

• "And as I said: If those assholes get what they deserve in process, I'm good!" Gutuski said watching his teammates backs

• "You're a bloody good person, Kaz." Velvet stated "I don't understand what could get you on board with the rest of us!

• "Alright, seems like just 3 targets like you said:" Odin said affirming Velvet's prior estimation "Guess we can drop them from here; they're close enough."

• "Understood." Velvet responded and waited for Odin to raise is AK74M, then 3 rounds, one from him and 2 from her "Targets neutralized." She reported

• "Affirmative. Alright, let's go"

• "No, hold up..." Velvet interrupted him hearing something in the horizon "Enemy technical coming in hot! 1.25K off to the south!" She warned

• "Can't we just ignore them?" Gurutski asked and received no answer "VIOLET!" He shouted

• "Hold your weesht; I'm listening!" She said trying to get a betters sound by tilting over the balcony "No, they're talking about taking the guards here back to town. We can't let them be!"

• "How can you hear them? I know your hearing is strong, but damn!"

• "I'm not, bampot! I'm listening to the closest radio; they're trying to contact their teammates here."

• "Wait, how can you understand what they're saying?" Odin asked

• "They're talking off mic in Russian, guess those are the Chechen edge of the blade."

• "Alright, Gurutski, come down with me: We'll set up an ambush." Odin started planning "Velvet: We'll keep you a couple alive to interrogate since you can understand those ones, but be quick."

• "No need to tell me, auldjin!"

• "Alright, let's go!"

• "Roger that!" Gurutski responded

While Velvet stayed upstairs proning on the balcony under its shadow watching the south end of the road, Odin and Gurutski sat each on a side of the road about 150 meters south to Velvet. The car finally came in sight after 2 minutes and started slowing down as it entered the village's main road as they grew more suspicious from not receiving a response and the place being overly quiet, but they kept going.

• "Odin, this is Velvet. Only 3 hostiles are in the technical. How copy?" Velvet reported

• "Copy, Velvet. Injure the driver in his dominant arm, we'll take the other too. Odin, over and out," Odin responded and kept waiting. All until they stepped on Gurutski's low force mine, only blowing the front tires and setting the vehicle undrivable and forcing the 3 insurgents to leave.

The insurgents quickly picked up their weapons and tore through the doors, their hinges damaged by the shockwave and difficult to open, but when they finally did, the group was received by heavy fire on the 2 passengers and a single shot to the driver's right elbow. Ethan quickly walked up to the driver, tied him up then dragged him into the building to get Velvet started.

• "Velvet, stay where you are and get ready; you're going to have some fun." Odin said dragging the poor man down on the gravel

• "Oh, bet you I will!" Velvet replied putting down her backpack and taking out an S10 gas mask, looking all normal, only the filter taken off and instead she equipped it with a mysterious gas canister, that sinisterly looked like a smoke grenade "BET YOU I WILL, MATE!" She emphasized

• "What a bunch of sick fucks..." Gurutski commented, watching Odin's back as they moved back to daycare building

• "Again:" Velvet started "I don't understand what could get you on board with the rest of us!"

• "You're saying it as if Angel gave me much of a choice!"

• "Amen to that." Odin responded "AMEN TO THAT...!"

-Lukewarm -Bible -Ishtar -Stallion

• "I see about 7 tangoes in sight." Ishtar reported observing the destructed building south of the highway used as an outpost by the insurgents "Armed in all that a soul can desire." She said overlooking from the machinegun seat

• "Don't you think that's a little fancy for a rogue militia?" Stallion stated "I mean: C'mon now! Move under the radar with such a large force and take over almost a 5th of Syria and a bay from Turkey? Even the USA can't do that!"

• "Yeah, those folks just bombard their way through." Bible commented

• "Isn't that a Russian thing?" Stallion asked

• "Nah, Russians do it with artillery then get their asses handed over to them not by actual armies, but the rebels." Lukewarm replied "Alright, anything else, Ishtar?"

• "There's an abandoned house across the road from the outpost , can't see a hostile down there." Ishtar answered then took a second to look around "No one's anywhere in our parameter really." She said in a most robotic accent

• "Alright, then..." He said then turned his radio "Blue, this is Coriander-1 Lukewarm. Any updates on the hamlet?"

• "Negative, Lukewarm. It's all quiet and empty down there. A little bit too much..." Blue replied

• "Alright, keep scouting; we've just started and we don't need to get flanked. Lukewarm over and out."

• "Understood. Blue, over and out."

• "Alright, here's what we're gonna do: Bible, you're coming with me. We'll flank from the east and infiltrate the outpost from the back: Neutralize the hostiles from inside. Ishtar, stallion: You go along that trench and then move through the farm field towards the building across, park there and fire the MG at the outpost from there. DO NOT LEAVE THE VEHICLE!" Lukewarm ordered

• "Sounds good." Stallion said

• "Yes, sir!" Ishtar replied. Again, robotically

• "Ok, Bible, let's go!" Lukewarm instructed and left the passenger seat then crossed the highway to the other side

• "Welco!" Bible replied dropping from the back of the MRAP following Lukewarm's steps watching all around

• "Hey, you good?" Stallion asked driving the Gaz Tigr through the trench as ordered

• "Me?" Ishtar replied

• "No, my sorry ass. Of course you!"

• "Uh... Sure, yeah, I'm fine, why?" She answered

• "Sure don't seem like it..." Stallion stated then it got to him "Are taking your meds?!" He questioned

• "Uhhh... yeah, yup! I sure do!" Ishtar lied ever so terribly

• "Edda!" Stallion started, emphasising his question "ARE YOU TAKING YOUR MEDS?!"

• "Aaaah..." Edda let out quietly while shaking

• "Coriander-4, this is 1. We're in position ready to go in. What's your status, over?"

• "Roger, 1. This is 4. We're taking spot now. Over." Stallion reported then got back to Ishtar "Listen: Just forget about it for now and let's get this over with first, then we'll see with your... situation. Ok?" Stallion asked receiving a nod from Ishtar as her hysteria cleared "Alright, let's do this!" He said then turned back to Lukewarm "Lukewarm we're ready to rock and roll!"

• "Understood, Stallion. Open fire!" Lukewarm ordered breaching the door as the muffled sound of the M2HB rained on the unsuspecting 1st floor guards taking down all 3 of them while Lukewarm took down the first contact facing him after breaching the rusted back door then turned left taking out a contact on the stairs just as Bible walked in from a gap in the walls flanking and taking down the last to contacts to Lukewarm'sright

• "All clear!" Bible declared lowering his weapon

• "Good job, everyone! Stallion, get out on the road; we'll go for the hamlet now that we're almost sure we won't be surrounded. 1, out!" Lukewarm instructed

• "Welco. Coming out, now! 4, out!" Stallion replied driving forward

• "C'mon let's move!" Lukewarm said to Bible and let the way out through the front door, meeting their other 2 teammates just outside and got back in the car "Nice move, flanking from an fallen wall!" He said turning back to Bible in the back "But next time, make sure to let me know where you're coming from beforehand; if it wasn't for the insignia, I would've dropped your ass dead on first sight!" He lightly scolded him

• "Understood, sir. Won't happen again." Bible replied

• "Good to know. Alright, let's get going; we have a target to find!"

• "Sir, yes, sir." Stallion responded switching gears and pulling the sidebrakes, driving west towards the quiet, dark farmers' hamlet

• "Blue, any updates on the hamlet? Over." Lukewarm asked

• "Negative, Lukewarm. All's cozy and quiet down there. Seems bloody suspicious to me, not gonna lie." Blue responded

• "Alright, keep an eye down there just in case. We'll search it for trails. Lukewarm, over and out." He finished and turned to Stallion "Break right off-road, turn around the houses and park in the north end of the hamlet; we shouldn't drive in the middle of an ambush if there's one."

• "Understood." Stallion replied turning right as instructed and flanked the whole hamlet from the north on a bumpy short ride, made Ishtar sure to keep her hands off the M2 trigger "We're here!" Stallion reported announcing the obvious

• "Uh!" Ishtar let out annoyed "Where is this foul smell coming from?!" She complained covering her nose

• "I don't know, but it sure is foul." Stallion answer seemingly less bothered by the smell

• "Will see to it on our way, doubt it has anything to do with our job here though. Alright, Bible, dismount; we'll search the whole place. I search a house, you search the opposite. Stallion, Ishtar, you keep driving by us." He finished leaving the vehicle

• "Roger that." Ishtar and Stallion both said

• "Seems rather too quiet for my taste, Captain..." Bible answer dismounting

• "Hey! Don't you provoke the silence now!" Lukewarm replied walking to the closest house on the right as Bible went to the one on the left

• "OH! HOLY MARY IN HEAVEN!" Bible started "Cap, don't tell me it's the same on your side!"

• "I will tell that now we know where the smell is coming from." Lukewarm responded

• "What?" Ishtar jumped "What is it?"

• "Bodies, obviously." Stallion stated from his long experience in the medical field

• "Lots of them as well! Men, elderly, women, children and even pets! EVEN PET BIRDS GODDAMN IT!" Bible noted "Those motherfuckers had mercy on nothing!"

• "Well, as I said: it has nothing to do with our job here. Let's keep searching and move on. Over." Lukewarm stated, declared the house clear and moved on to search the next as Bible did, followed by the ever-protecting Gaz Tigr. And so on and so forth only finding bodies in each house until they cleared out the whole hamlet houses in the area

• "Well, that's whole place, more or less." Bible stated "How many bodies do you think we found?"

• "Say the average was 8 on each house and we searched all 40 houses... 320 bodies excluding animals. With them it's more like..." Lukewarm averted his eyes from the sight of massacred livestock to the west over the hills "400-ish...? And that's only a hamlet..."

• "Goddamn it..."

• "Yeah..."

• "Do we really had to swipe out the whole place? I mean, I guess we had seen enough since the 4th house, no...?" Ishtar asked

• "Same question here." Stallion agreed

• "Well, we have no idea as to where D'arc had went and as far is we know, he could be as dead as those folks. We need to-" Lukewarm was cut short

• "Coriander-1, Lukewarm, this is AWACS Carpenter. Do you read? Over." Carpenter called out

• "Loud and clear, Carpenter. Go for 1. Over."

• "ISR has spotted a BTR-80 IFV moving your way from the south eastern dirt road. Over"

• "Are you positive it's stopping at the hamlet?"

• "Affirmative, 1. They've neglected all cross roads leading away from you, they're coming to your spot. Eliminate them; we can't afford to have them flank you or see the crash site! Carpenter, over and out."

• "Understood, Carpenter." Lukewarm said then switched to Bible "Bible, move into the balcony house north west and take point, I'll take point from the balcony on the south east and surround them. Stallion, move around the hamlet from the east and flank the BTR as it gets into the middle of the hamlet so Ishtar can destroy the cannon and eliminate the hostiles."

• "Aye, aye, Captain!" All three responded

• "Alright, let's go!" He said designated all to move to their designated locations

The BTR-80 crew, all inside the vehicle, moved onto the hamlet as a patrol unsuspecting of a possible encounter from local or foreign forces this far inside their territory. The IFV drove, in all its rustic glory that had seen better days since the Soviet Union, inside the hamlet and settled in the middle of it for the 8 troops to dismount from the side doors. And as they did...

• "Coriander-3 and 4, on your go. Over." Lukewarm instructed and the Gaz Tigr came out from between the houses, 100 metres behind the IFV

Ishtar immediately opened fire on the 30mm cannon's dome, blasting it with almighty .50 caliber rounds unti the cannon itself popped off the dome in 4 seconds, then went for the tires. Said 4 seconds were also the time both Lukewarm and bible spent taking down all 8 hostiles that dismounted from the vehicle, accompanied with Blue's long-range sniper support, leaving only the driver, gunner and passenger yet to be smoked. The 3 crewmen thought it would be smart to stay inside the IFV and call for help, little did they knew: Lukewarm ran down to them, opened the hatch and dropped a hand grenade inside the hull then called it clear after it took off, letting out a blast muted by the IFV's armoured walls.

• "And that kids, is why Angel hired us." Lukewarm stated then switched to Caepenter "Carpenter, this Lukewarm. Come in. Over."

• "Roger, Lukewarm, this is Carpenter."

• "We've eliminated the hostile IFV and all of its crew members. Over."

• "What about Dthe original objective?"

• "Stage Eliza has been passed, no sign of D'arc or the package. Copy"

• "Copy that, Lukewarm. Stage Ronin initiated: Head to Qtron Farm south west to your location and continue the search. Be advised: the farm seems to have a full squad of hostile insurgents roaming around, 9, all armed, leave nothing alive. Over."

• "Under stood, Carpenter. Lukewarm, over and out." Lukewarm finished walking to the MRAP with Bible

• "Goodluck, folks. Carpenter, over and out."

• "Alright, you heard the man!" Lukewarm said "Let's move it, c'mon!" He ordered increasing his pace and getting into the passenger seat as Bible mounted the back again "Blue?"

• "On the move." Blue responded changing his location

• "So, how are we approaching this?" Stallion asked "We won't just barge into a village full of hostiles, right?"

• Lukewarm pulled out his map, took a look then answered "Well, there's lone building along the road down south, Carpenter said nothing about it, so I'm pretty sure it's clear. We'll turn right off-road from their and go uphill. Just like before: You and Ishtar stay with the vehicle and take down the hostiles from afar as Blue does from his spot while Bible and I go down and eliminate them in close range. Sounds good? Good." Lukewarm planned then looked to Bible "The village is split in half by a trench, you and I will go down from north to south. Don't even think about splitting; this place is bigger than it looks!"

• "Understood." Bible obliged

Thirty seconds later, Stallion arrived to said building and as expected: true it was abandoned and posed no threat to them. They ignored it and turned to the right, moving west off-road. He spent the short trip shifting gears back and forth so they can finish the climb and before they knew it, they've successfully set point north of the village uphill, just 900Km south east from Blue's new spot.

• "Blue, this is Lukewarm. What's your status, over?" Lukewarm called for report

• "Copy, Lukewarm. I've reached my spot, faced few hostiles on the way, but nothing to be bothered by. Over." Blue reported

• "Can you give us eyes on the AO?"

• "Affirmative. Deadset to Carpenter's words: Only 9 tangos. The village is basically 3 sections: north, south and east, each half has 3 hostiles between the buildings. The north has the least activity while the south is basically chokers on roaming around. How copy? Over." He reported "There's no way I can take them all down in time before they get alerted, so unless your majesties wish to help out..."

• "We will. We'll drop down from the north to the south and finish with the east. Take down the hostiles as we go. Ishtar will provide us with additional fire power as well."

• "Sounds good to me. Alright, on your go. Blue, over and out."

• "Alright, folks." Lukewarm started to his team "You know what to do from here on out. Bible, let's move out!"

• "Roger that." Bible responded following his team leader yet letting some space between them, walking quickly and steadily between the trees towards the northern sector of the village/farm

• Lukewarm led the out of the tree line to the closest house then called for Blue "Blue, mind pinning the tangos for us?"

• "Rifleman, 40m, 255 west, in the open field. Auto rifleman, 75m 200 south west, between the Houses. Marksman, 95m, 150 south east, rooftop. One sec." Blue said then came back "Never mind, he's a gonner; 2 hostile remaning in northern section. Over."

• "Roger that. Ishtar?" He said marching towards the hostile 75m away down south

• "On it." Ishtar said turning the MG to the right a little "Done." She said after blowing the insurgent's chest wide open

• "Hostile neutralized. Northern sector is clear, moving south. Over."

• "Marksman, 130m, 220 south west, rooftop. 2 riflemen, 120m, 210 south west, in the field." Blue reported

• "Can you take down the marksman like before?"

• "Negative: They're all too close together and it seems they're keeping their eyes wide open on each other; they must go simultaneously. Over."

• "Understood. We're in position. Positive visual on 2 hostiles in the open and a marksman on the rooftop, Bible?"

• "Positive visual on all targets. On your go Blue." Bible called and as soon as he did, Blue shot down the marksman off the roof, alerting the 2 tangos in the ground, but both were taken down before they could do anything about it

• "All clear, moving south."

• "Marksman, 250m, 50 north east. Rooftop. Rifleman, 260m, 40 north east, patrolling the alleys. Auto rifleman, 335m, 45 north west, patrolling the open fields. Waiting your signal. Over." Blue finished

• "Bible, you aim for that guy in the field, I will head for that rifleman in the alleys and leave the marksman for Blue."

• "Welco." Bible replied entring a house quietly, unsurprisingly was filled with bodies as well, and looked through the window "This is Bible, positive visual on hostile in the fields. How copy? Over."

• "Hold tight, mate." Blue responded "Let Lukewarm find his cheese then we'll rock."

• "This is Lukewarm, I'm into position. Let's get this over with before this pal comes back my way. Over." Lukewarm called out hiding around a corner waiting on Blue

• "Fire!" Blue called out, and 3 simultaneous shots came out and in less then a second all bodies fell flat "All hostiles neutralized. How copy?"

• "Copy that, Blue. Bible, regroup with me on the trench so we can see to how we're flipping every rock in this place. Stallion, Ishtar: Hold position; your spot is perfect for cover fire."

• "Understood." Stallion responded

• "Roger that, Lukewarm. On my way. Over and out." Bible replied marching 50m back west towards the trench, taking a moment to look for Lukewarm, only for the latter to tell him to cross over the other side to him, and so our dear Bible slid into the trench and climbed out the other end, getting offered a hand by Lukewarm which he gladly accepted and pulled himself upwards "So, what now? This place is huge! I mean, Geroy could've left us Jake or Velvet to get his over with!"

• "Yeah, but he left us something even better." Lukewarm stated then turned on his radio "Carpenter, this is Lukewarm. How copy? Over."

• "Copy, Lukewarm, this is Carpenter. What's your status? Over."

• "We've cleared out all hostiles in the village or farm or whatever you wanna call it. We want to resume the search for D'arc now, but this place is too big.; requesting a WIRA scan over a 0.25Km radius circle centred on me. Over."

• "Roger that, Lukewarm. Initiating WIRA scan. Over."

• "WIRA scan?" Stallion asked curiously "What the hell is a WIRA scan?"

• "Wall Imaging Radar Array scan." Ishtar answered

• "English please?"

• "Basically a through-walls scan that can show you anything through a 20cm thick wall." Bible clarified

• "Oh... Fancy." Stallion stated then realized "Wait, why haven't we used it on the hamlet earlier?!"

• "Because it's still being tested and is expensive as fuck, we had only one go on it so we needed to make it worth it."

• "Shouldn't we had used it on the actual huge ass town?!"

• "Negative; by the time we reach the town, we basically had minimized enemy numbers by 75%. Not mentioning the fact that we wouldn't be able to search it without clearing the whole AO, rendering it completely useless as we only got access for it to reach the town more quickly."

• "I see..."

• "Lukewarm, this is Carpenter. Come in." Carpenter called exclaimed

• "What is it, Carpenter? What did you find?" Lukewarm responded

• "No sign of D'arc or the package. However..."

• "Spit it out, Carpenter, what is it?!"

• "You didn't clear out the WHOLE village..."

• "What?" Lukewarm asked and as he did the chatter was cut by an angry growling sound that lasted a second

• "Bared..." Bible started "please tell me that came out your ass..."

• "Out of all 1156 times that you said this old ass joke, now I wish it was true." He replied then turned his sight west to where the sound came from, an old, rusty barn house "Oh, fuck..." He cursed as the sound came back on, this time continuous, and a second later, a whole T-62 tank came out breaching through the barn gates then stopped

• "Don't move a muscle! Maybe if we stay still it won't notice you two." Ishtar advised then the cannon turned, aiming directly at the 2 Dutch operators in near the trench

• "YOU THINK?!" Bible let out

• "MOVE!" Lukewarm shouted jumping away of the cannon sight and pulling his teammate with him into the back yard of a house before the tank shot a rocket their way that almost turned them to minced meat "FUCK! GET MOVING! GO!" Lukewarm ordered pushing Bible to move faster "Over the wall, I will boost you! Go!" He ordered placing his back to the wall and engaged his fingers together to push Bible over the yard wall. Then, Bible gave him a hand up to cross with him onto the other side of the house in the middle of the street, only for the tank to bamboozle them, breaching its way through multiple houses and facing them few alleys away "Goddamn it, GO!" Lukwarm shouted as the DShK machinegun on top of the dome started firing at their direction, forcing them into a house, where they were left out refrained and stuck, which the tank took as a chance to blow the building over them, sending them both black out for a moment while it slowly moved to their location

Bible woke first 5 seconds after the blast, bricks and debris from the walls and ceiling covering both him and Lukewarm. He called out for his Captain to take fucking less time waking up because they're on the fucking goddamn edge right now, which unsurprisingly worked and woke Lukewarm up.

• "What the actual-" Lukewarm stopped remembering "Oh, right. Never mind." He said then pushed off the ruins off of him and Bible as if they were lighter than feathers, even though Bible was struggling to breathe a second ago "You good?" He asked

• "What? No! There'sa fucking T-62 up on our ass!" Bible answered "We need to get out of here before they shoot a fragmentation round our way!"

• "Yeah you're right." He said picking up his weapon

• "So, what now? There's one way out and it's right in front of them!"

• "Then we make another!" Lukewarm answered approaching the back wall then kicking Through the 15cm thick, 3m long wall like glass "After you."

• "Damn, I'm glad you're on our side!" Bible stated leaving through the hole followed by Lukewarm and as expected, the tank shot a fragmentation round at the house which luckily they have already left

• Meanwhile on the Gaz Tigr: "Fuck it, miss me with that bullshit!" Ishtar said aiming the M2HB at the back of the T-62 from up the hill "Blue, take down the machine gunner up the dome." She instructed and with out a word, Blue carried out the order

• "Done."

• "Knock, knock, motherfuckers!" She said pulling the trigger and setting the MG barrel on full blast, aimed right on the back of tank, literally piercing through the armour and setting the engine block on fire in seconds, stopping the tank right where it is "Yeah... Just the like the fucking sitting duck you are!" She said pulling up her Panzerfaust missile launcher, already loaded with an explosive rocket and only needed the safety cap to be taken off, and by that time it was a race between the tank's gunner being faster at turning and blowing the living shit out of Gaz Tigr and its crew, or Ishtar simply aiming down sight at the back of the tank and blowing it to pieces. Ishtar won that race by a hundred miles "Good night, you bastards!" She said then picked up her radio "Coriander-1 and 2, this is Coriander-3. Hostile tank has been eliminated. How copy? Over."

• "You don't say, Sherlock!" Bible responded "Good job, we owe you one."

• "No shit, you do." She replied

• "What?"

• "Nothing. No problem."

• "Lukewarm, this Odin. What the hell was all that ruckus?!" Odin called out

• "A goddamn enemy tank ambushed us. Never mind that, they know we're here now!" Lukewarm responded

• "You don't say, Sherlock!" Velvet mocked

• "Lukewarm, this is Carpenter, be advised: all enemy hostiles have been alerted to your presence all over your destination. Proceed with caution. How copy? Over." Carpenter warned

• "Copy that, Carpenter. We'll do. Lukewarm, over and out."

• "Fuck! Now that's all that we needed!" Stallion let out

• "Odin, please tell me you have good news..."

• "Well, we now have a trail of D'arc at last. Velvet, for the love of God! Would you please cover the poor bastard up?" Anyway, we've interrogated a patrol driver, he gave up the last intel they had about D'arc was minutes ago down town, in the soccer field near the river and the highway bridge. How copy? Over."

• "So, we inevitably would've gone down town, huh? Good thing we wasted about 50% of their forces."

• "Yeah, don't get cocky." Gurutski interrupted "The other 50% isn town and around it is mostly armour, remember?"

• "We'll manage; we have an autistic electroid AT in our side, damn it!" Bible stated

• "I will autisticly electrify your ass!" Ishtar responded

• "You folks are really good for nothing but bullying, huh?" Gurutski asked

• "What do you expect?" Velvet responded "They're Dutch!"

• "It's either that or they go burn people with big noses. Take your pick." Odin stated "Anyway, I will report the updates to Carpenter and head for that bridge, clear enemy forces on our way. Odin, over and out."

• "Understood. Good luck. Lukewarm, over and out." Lukewarm replied then switched to his team's channel "Alright folks, move the Tigr to the highway, we'll go straight to the town. God speed!"

• "Wait, there's an outpost on our way, Cap?" Stallion reminded him

• "I can take care of that; just go your way, fellers." Blue called

• "Understood, Blue. Much appreciated. Lukewarm, Over and out."

• "My pleasure. Over and out."

-Blue

Parking near the outpost that has just been breached through and ignored by Coriander, Blue left his dirt bike near a lone building uphill fairly away from the rest of the outpost, yet still close enough to take shots quickly enough as to not alert anyone of his presence. He walked inside with his P226 up checking every corner and like so like that as he walked up the stairs, on which's mouth he planted a claymore to take out any intruder thinking of flanking him. Then, he reached a window overlooking the whole outpost area on the third floor, or he had to do now was to set his rifle and start taking out heads, but first is counting the hostiles in there first.

First hostile: Marksman, rooftop, 130m away from him, 85 east. Second: Rifleman, 132, a floor under the first, 83 east of him. Third: Rifleman, 142m away from him, in the open by the building, 80 east of him. Fourth: Auto rifleman, 190m, near the containers, 40 north east of him. Fifth: Rifleman, right next to the fourth, 200m away from him, 42 north east of him, Sixth: Rifleman, 213m, 350 north of him near a building, Seventh: Rifleman, near the sixth, 215m, 350 north of him, Eighth: Auto rifleman, 265m away from him, 345 north of him near the highway and ninth: 270m, on top of the building near the eighth, 344 north of him near the highway.

All counting finished and now it's time to start eliminating, starting by the first then second, and took out the third before he could notice. Then, he looked at the containers' area and took out the fourth, a bullet to the chest then the fifth, treated the same. A moment to reload and then he continued: Switched his line of sight north and took the sixth and seventh both in one bullet that pierced through both's heads then looked for the eighth, which unfortunately dropped next to the ninth alarming him, but by then it was too late and there was no where to run to before Blue clapped his brain's cheeks out of his skulls, then called the area cleared and moved up the stairs even higher, settling on the rooftop and putting down all his equipment, ready to support his allies from long range and that was left for him was to report his status.

• "Coriander-1, this is Spectrum-3 Blue. How copy? Over."

• "About fucking time!" Lukewarm responded annoyed "What the hell took you so long?!"

• "I don't know, making sure my spot is clear? Why? What happened to... OH! MATE! You're on fire!"

• "No shit! We lost contact with Carpenter and with no scout eyes, we had to go in blindly and what do you know? A fucking tank intercepted our way in the middle of the town and now we're trying to flank it, but those infantries are blocking our flank. Mind helping, here?!"

• "Aye, aye, Captain!" Blue responded looking through his scope and adjusting it towards the area around the allied Gaz Tigr, spotting and eliminating hostile infantry around it, giving a path for Coriander to flank around and do their thing "Hostiles neutralized. Get going, now!"

• "Roger that! Stallion, beat it!"

• "Yes sir!" Stallion replied pressing the gas pedal and ramming across the alleys then drifting as it intersected with the main road, turning so sharply in a U stopping right behind the unsuspecting tank, giving a moment for Bible on the M2HB to blast the hell out of the engine block and letting Ishtar shoot her missile right down the flaming butt, blowing the dome away from the tank's hull as the whole thing was rendered destroyed

• "Enemy tank neutralized!" Ishtar called

• "Yeah, don't get stoked just yet; there's a BTR coming your way with few infantries from the south." Blue called

• "We're not getting a break, huh?" Bible complained

• "The long and short of it is no; we'll set an ambush: Bible, you go up the complex north of the road, stallion, I'll go on the southern windows' line, Ishtar and Stallion flank the cannon from behind and choke the infantry. Basically, do the same as the hamlet. Now get going, go!" Lukewarm quickly instructed

• "Negative, Lukewarm; They're not coming that way." Blue interjected

• "What do you mean?"

• "There's a mosque 180m south east of your location, bearing 135 from your point of you. Do you see it?"

• "Affirmative?"

• "Set your ambush point there, expect contact from the direct south; they're planning to flank you."

• "How can you be so sure?"

• "Just trust me, will you, mate?"

• "Fine. You heard the man! South east we go! Beat it, Stallion!"

Coriander did as advised by their Aussie friend and moved a couple hundred metres towards said mosque and used the street next to it as a choke point anticipating contact from the south as Blue mentioned. And true to his words, the BTR did come that way, accompanied with 5 infantry men latching on the sides of it. And as they entered the choke point...

• "Stallion, now!" Lukewarm called out

• "Welco!" Stallion responded moving out from the alleys into the open right behind the BTR, having Ishtar render the 30mm cannon unusable with the M2HB MG as both Lukewarm and Bible took out the infantries on top of the vehicle

Doors opened quickly trying to counter the ambush, only to be welcomed with heavy fire from all sides, even Stallion's MP5 joined the fight! Not too long in, all hostiles got neutralized and all that was left was the crew, but unlike before: This time Lukewarm didn't bother going down and simply did a Kobe right through the driver's window, fragging the whole of the crew inside the armour.

• "Clear!" Lukewarm called "Regroup on the MRAP. Blue, any updates?"

• "Just a BMP-2 is sitting stationary in a corner near the football field stands your way from clearing the whole area." Blue responded

• "Wait, nothing else on this side of the river?!" Bible questioned

• "Affirmative."

• "Spectrum-1 Odin, this is Coriander-1 Lukewarm. Come in, over." Lukewarm requested

• "Go for Odin." Odin replied

• "We've almost cleared out our side of town, heading for football field that driver told you about. What about you? Over."

• "Well, thankfully for the tank that bamboozled you, they focused on your direction and neglected ours. So, we had a pretty tight grip on the element of surprise for a while. That until Jacob saw a glimpse of the moon and just had to howl! Now, all that's left is few tangoes between us and the highway bridge. We'll be with you shortly. Odin, over and out."

• "Roger that. Goodluck. Lukewarm, over and out." Lukewarm replied

• "So, how are we doing this BMP-2?" Ishtar asked "We can't flank as Blue says it." She finished and Lukewarm simply answered by looking towards Stallion, followed by her and Bible leaning in from the back

• "What...?" Stallion questioned as if he could see the smirk behind Lukewarm's mask

• "How do you like playing bait...?"

-00:06 Later...

• "Why the fuck do I sign for such bullshit!" Stallion complained hiding in an alley after luring the BMP-2 out of its stationary choke point by driving in front of it, giving clear sight for Ishtar far south from it on the pavement it to shoot it on the side by an armour-piercing rocket that went right into the engine, halting the thing in its place like a sitting duck for that Ishtar likes. Bible was already in position there with an explosive round in hand to reload for her, cocked in and fired: The APC was toast

• "Come out, Stallion!" Bible called "Bad kitty is ashes!"

• "You assholes owe me big time!" Stallion cursed shifting gears on R and drove back to his teammates

• "Hey, look at the bright side!" Ishtar started "No we know someone would actually agree to fuck you!"

• "You bitch..." He muttered stopping by the football field where they regrouped and disembarked "Let's just get this shit over with and go home."

• "If Geroy doesn't come up with anything else, sure." Lukewarm replied then opened his mic "Blue, you can come down now, the AO is clear. Over."

• "Roger that. Oscar Mike." Blue answered moving his head from the stock, collected his stuff and headed down for his bike, not forgetting or stepping on the Claymore mine he placed earlier, he simply turned it off and picked it up for further use. Then, he went outside on his bike and road the wind down the hill across the highway, finding few scattered cars and bodies along the way

• "Coriander-1, this is Spectrum-1 Odin. We've cleared out all remaining hostiles in the area. Crossing to your location now. Hold your fire. Over." Odin called out

• "Copy, Spectrum-1. About time you've joined us!" Lukewarm replied "We've already initiated the search around the field from the north, regroup with Blue south and see if you have any luck there. Over."

• "What about Carpenter? Any luck yet?"

• "Negative; I've been trying to contact him, but all I get is static. Something must be blocking our signal. We'll check it out later, we'll need to check for D'arc before the trail gets cold. Lukewarm, over and out."

• "Understood. Odin, over and out."

• "Unidentified helicopters, direct east, 2 Kilos behind the bens/mountains!" Velvet called out only by sound

• "All callsigns, take defensive positions! Bible, you're the closest, get that MRAP out of the road!" Lukewarm instructed and Blue was first to comply by hiding in an alley with the bike only 300m away from Coriander

• "Welco!" Bible responded heading to do as ordered and after he moved it, 3 Gazelle Helos broke in above the eastern mountains' summits

• "Lukewa-" Stallion was stopped

• "Not now, Stallion! We need to see to these assholes first!" Lukewarm said

• "Didn't D'arc's report say he was chased by 3 Gazelles?" Ishtar asked

• "Affirmative." Blue answered "And lucky us, we also have no way of fighting them!"

• "But we do!" An ever so Scottish tongue stated over the radio and the middle Gazelle was blown in the air as it finishd "Rolo! Take the one on the north, I got the lad on the right!"

• "Welco, Krylo-1." A Finnish voice replied and 2 Helos; an Mi-8 going straight forward and a UH-60 blackhawk banking left, came over Blue's head from behind the western mountains and head towards the hostile aircrafts, unknowing of what had just fell on their heads

The Mi-8 gunship, piloted by Krylo-1 quickly approached the Gazelle on the right, swiftly rounded it and left the rest of it for the side-doors' machine gunners to disable the tail propeller, sending it falling in a swirl as they did to D'arc. Meanwhile, ever so agile and flexible Rolo dodged an air-to-air missile from the left Gazelle by pushing on the shaft so hard, it rolled on the longitudinal axis a full 360 and while at it, shot three unguided missile on the cockpit, cracking the Helo in a blaze of fire, leaving Rolo satisfied as he returned to his normal longitudinal pitch.

• "All callsigns, this is Krylo-1 Bird. Airspace is clear. I repeat: Airspace is clear; all hostile aircraft have been neutralized. Over." Bird declared, giving Blue the chills to ride his bike out the alley and continue to rally up with his team

• "Was wondering when you'd show up, fuck face!" Gurutski called

• "Hey, I only came because Carpenter couldn't get you to hear him. Something blocking off the signal or some jobby."

• "Yeah, we figured." Bible replied

• "Coriander, Spectrum. This is Carpenter. Do you read?! Over." Carpented called out

• "WELL, PAINT ME PINK AND CALL ME BARBIE. AT LAST!" Lukewarm called out

• "This is Odin. We read you Carpenter, at last. Over." Odin responded

• "Finally! Something was blocking off my signal, but I could hear you folks. Wanted to warn you about those contacts, but nothing reached out to you. Glad to see you had it under control. It seems the jamming stopped now so there's that."

• "Yeah, you don't say?" Velvet mocked

• "Have you found them yet?"

• "Negative." Odin answered

• " Nothing on my end. Over." Lukewarm added

• "Affirmative, Carpenter..." Stallion reported from the place he took as a hideout from the Helos

• "Wait, what?!" Carpenter exclaimed

• "I think I found D'arc... wanted to mention it earlier, but Lukewarm wanted to get done with the Helos first. So, there's that."

• "Oh, yeah?" Lukewarm responded "Finally! How and where's he? And what about the package?"

• "KIA. In a sewer tunnel under the highway's bridge on the western bank of the river. Shot badly to the abdomen and bled to death. Seems like it was a .50 cal sharpnel or something. Damn..."

• "Poor bastard..." Velvet commented "Made it all the way here just to get screwed by a ricochet."

• "Well, at least he cuffed himself to the package. So, the search is over."

• "Kinky." Ishtar mocked

• "Bruh, the man just died!" Gurutski commented

• "Then I guess you can call it a dar(c) joke!" Bible punned

• "That was so good; I'm not even mad you 2 are laughing at my dead teammate..." Bird responded

• "I don't associate with these people, Carpenter..." Odin reported

• "Neither do I, Spectrum-1. Neither do I..." Carpenter replied

• "So, are you landing or what, Bird? lLet's get out of here; we found them!" Velvet said

• "Yeah, no. Carpenter, want to tell them?" Bird responded

• "Geroy got the pinch from Angel to follow this case and is coming your way with companies from Cyka-1 division to set up an HQ here, and obviously, he made use of your presence here right now." Carpenter said

• "What...?" Ishtar asked

• "In other words: Geroy did come up with something else. Carpenter, over and out!"

• "MOTHERFUCKER!" Velvet cursed

• "Amen to that, whitey..." Bird said "Amen to that..."
