Chapter 1: A Weird Dream (Introduction

"Jonathan! we need to run now! There's no time to waste, the whole place is gonna explode!"

"Hurry grab him slowly he's too badly injured we need to move as fast as we can!"

"It's too late the bomb is already dropping!"

"Take cover!"

"AHHHHHHHHH!" The scenery faded as Jonathan woke up in an instant with heavy breathing while his whole body was covered in sweat.

"I'm still alive? It's just a dream.. just a dream" He puts his hand into his face as he slowly gets off his bed. Jonathan then quickly goes to the bathroom to wash his face as his thoughts were still filled with bewilderment.

"That was one heck of a dream I thought I was a goner for good." He quickly exits the bathroom after washing his face and opens the window curtains. The sun isn't still shining at this type of hour. He goes to check the clock and turns out it was still 4:30 in the morning.

"I guess it's just too early. I'm gonna go prepare myself for school. I don't want to end up late for my first subject." Jonathan goes downstairs to cook and prepare breakfast for his family. The house was filled with a silent and gloomy atmosphere as if he was living alone all by himself. The halls were dark and all he could hear was the grandfather's clock ticking. He went to the kitchen and all he could see was nothing but a room filled with blandness and nothingness.

"Nothing has ever changed into this household since my mother died. Father couldn't even raise Abby well because he's busy working. He can't even eat breakfast with us at the table like we always did before." Jonathan sighed deeply as he turned on the stove to cook. The look in his eyes was cold but was filled with a melancholic feeling. He sat down at the corner of the kitchen while waiting for the food to be boiled and cooked.

His arms were crossed as he was mesmerizing about something he'd love to imagine. A few minutes had passed and the food was already boiled and cooked. He prepared and set the table for their breakfast and opened the curtains to see if there were any sunbeams hitting the window pane.

"I still couldn't stop thinking about that dream, it's like a vision of something I couldn't explain. It's so realistic yet weird at the same time. All I could remember was the sound of gunshots, flames, screams of agony and the worst of all, bomb exploding." As the curtains were folded a small beam of light struck the window pane hinting that it was already daybreak. Jonathan then opens the window as he feels the cold breeze passing by.

"Brrrr! It sure is freezing, I guess I need to go and wake up Abby first-" Jonathan suddenly was shocked by what he saw outside.

"W-what the hell is happening?" A huge flame was eating the whole neighborhood the moment when Jonathan turned his back away from the window for a split second. He saw a pile of bodies and a random person that was standing in front of their yard wounded and severely burnt throughout his skin and flesh.

"Jonathan help me!" A loud yet anguish voice that was calling for Jonathan's help while the flames grew stronger as the sky turned into total darkness with exploding sounds that can be heard from a far distance.

"No! Please no! Please stop this! I don't want this please!" Jonathan covered both of his ears while tears were rapidly shedding. He sat on the floor with fear and confusion without knowing what's going on in the first place. After a has passed the noise suddenly faded and silence once more filled the whole surroundings. An eerie feeling went straight into Jonathan's spine and gave him chiils while all of a sudden everything became black and white.

He checked the windows once more to see if something is happening but all he could see was a void of nothingness, emptiness and darkness perhaps.

"I thought I already woke up, but I guess I'm still stuck at this dream of mine. I need to find a way to wake myself up before I could end up in an eternal slumber. This isn't the kind of place where I wanted to settle my soul with."

He hurriedly leaves the kitchen as he ran towards the halls. It was so dark that he couldn't even spot a single furniture on the entire house, but still that didn't stopped him instead he continues to run forward and never ceases.

"I've been running for 1 minute and yet I still couldn't reach the living room, this is creeping me out I wanna wake up!" He struggles to run as fast as he could until he saw a ray of light Infront of him. As he gets closer and closer his feets became heavy as if there was something pulling him from below.

"A-argh! What is this! I can't move both of my feet argh! I need to wake up I can't handle this anymore!" He keeps on struggling as his life depends on it and suddenly the floors cracked and he saw a reflection of his self pointing a gun into his head.

Jonathan was too star strucked and confused at the same time for seeing his self doing maniacal things that would end up getting himself killed.

"No! No! No! Wait-" the trigger was pulled and a huge blast echoed.

"AHHHHHHH!" Jonathan woke up but he isn't sure if he is already awake or still could be in a dream.

"I don't know if this is already real or still an illusion but I'm going to do something that will hurt myself in order for me to find out."

He quickly grabbed a pen that was on top of his drawer and stabbed it hard into his hand causing making him scream.

"AHHHHHH! Ouch! I guess this isn't a dream anymore." An instant regret he felt the moment he stabbed himself.

Blood came pouring fast as he was still on the state of shock, in an instant a loud knocking was heard.

"Jony! Stop screaming you're too very loud! And also what is going on!" The door opens as Jonathan's sister was too stunned to speak the moment she saw her older brothers hand leaking blood.

"I-I can explain just don't tell dad."

"DAD! JONY IS BLEEDING!"

"Oh boy I'm so dead."
