Chapter 1
“Your one job today is to kill him” a man said over the phone
“Who is this, and why do I have to do what you say?” I say in a jokingly tone
“Why Hahahaha” he laughs in a creepy voice, “I have your family Rosa”
“Y-you what!?” I ask in a scared voice
“I know you’re scared but I have your family and if you don’t do what I ask they will be gone forever and it will be all your fa- don’t do it Ashley, don’t listen to him he’s trying to- ” he says but father interrupts and the line goes dead
“W-what the fuck” I ask myself
Rosa’s thoughts
I have my phone in my hand waiting in the middle of the sidewalk. After a while staring at my phone I decided I should go home. When I get home my phone vibrates.
I know you’re alone.
What do you want
I want you to do something for me in return for your family, I want you to kill this man, I don’t care how you do it but as long as he is gone then I’ll give you your family back. You have 3 days to do it or else
At the end of the text I get a photo of a man, he is tall, has black hair with tattoos on his arms, he has a fit body and he is wearing a suit, honestly he looked kinda hot.
After seeing that photo I got onto my computer trying to find him.
“Rosa?”
“Mmmm”
“Rosa wake up” they shook me awake
I open my eyes and see my roommate standing there concerned
“What time is it?” I ask thinking about how I wasted so much time
“9 am why?” she asked
“Shit, can you do me a favor?” I ask hoping she can help me find him
“Sure what is it?” she questions
“I need you to find this man right now!” I show her the photo
“Of course I can” she walks away and comes back with her high tech laptop, after a few hours she stands up and goes to the printer, hands me a folder and smirks
“Have fun finding your mystery man” she says, teasing me and then she leaves the apartment.
When I hear the door close I immediately open the folder, she found him.
His name is Marco Giovanni, 22 years old, the heir to the Italian Mafia, has a mother, father, two brothers and a sister. I take a deep breath, am I really going to try and kill the heir of the Italian Mafia, there’s no other way, he’s a bad guy right, he kills people, eh can’t be good, I try to convince myself.
I get up and walk into my closet and pick out a full black outfit. After I get changed I take a gun with me and hide it in my coat and leave, I end up finding him at a high class bar.
I walk into the bar, music is playing, it’s dark and has lights everywhere just able to see someone a few feet in front of you
“Can I help you Ma’am” a male body guard asks
“Yes I believe you can, I have an appointment with Mr. Giovanni” I say trying to be convincing
“Alright let me just go check” he says and then leaves, a couple minutes go by and the guard comes back
“Mr. Giovanni will see you” he points me in the direction of a red curtain, I enter the room
“Sit down, everyone else can leave” a deep voice says, I sit down and look in the mans direction
“Why are you here, I don’t have any appointments” he asks, he sounds annoyed
“I’m sorry” I say and pull out the gun, I point it up at him and squeeze the trigger but nothing happens, the pun is kicked out of my hand and then everything goes black.
I feel a pain in my head, I opened my eyes and saw I was in a dark room with a hanging light, my hands tied to a chair
“Wake up” a man with a deep voice says, I stay silent. He kicks the chair
“Wake up now” he yells
“I-I’m awake” I stutter, the light turns on and blinds me from the light, once my eyes adjust to the light I start to see the man standing in front of me and it’s Marco
“Who the fuck are you and who sent you” he asks in a stern voice, I don’t reply, he whip out a gun and points it to my head
“You have 3 seconds to answer me!” Marco yells, I flinch
“M-my name is Rosa Starlight, I’m 20 years old please don’t kill me” I beg
“Who sent you bitch!” he yells making me more scared, I start to cry
“I don’t know, he took my family and told me to kill you, please all I’m trying to do is get my family back” I cry to him, he walks closer to me and asks “Who is he?”
“He never said his name, he called me and told me I have 3 days to find you and kill you to get my family back” I say trying to breathe, he steps back and runs his hands through his hair
“Double the security, get my family now!” he yells at a bodyguard, the bodyguard nods and leaves, we are alone now, he steps towards me in large strides, he leans down and unties me.
“You will stay here in my house, if you cross me you are dead got it?” Marco asks, I nod my head and stand up not realizing how close he is to me, I lose my balance and falls over, I brace myself for the fall but it never comes, I look up and see that Macro has caught me, he lets go and leaves the room, I’m standing there confused
“W-what just happened?” I ask myself
“Please don’t tell me you have fallen for my brother?” a female voice asks
“W-who the fuck is there?” I ask scared, as I turn around the women comes closer
“Don’t worry it’s just me, I’m his sister” she says handing her hand out for a hand shake, I shake her hand
“I’m Rosa Starline” I smile
“Come with me” she pulls me with her.
