A Tragedy
It was a chilly winter morning when the sun had not risen. Darkness was covering the village of Toyotama. It was as if the fog had taken over the landscape. Vision was blur and you might not know what is on the next step. During this creepy weather Jin Wuxi, a farmer, was crossing the river for buying supplies. On every step of his, came a creaking sound and he shivered highly. All of a sudden he heard a scream out of nowhere and his legs turned to jelly. He stood still as a statue and observed his surroundings keenly. However, he couldn’t see anything due to the thick fog. He felt as if someone was approaching the bridge. As soon as he stepped forward to see what it was, he felt a harsh force on the back and fell in the hot spring underneath.
As the sun had fully risen, the Wuxi family woke up and Mrs. Wuxi called out for Jin but received no reply. On not receiving reply for several times she went to his room but to her surprise Jin’s bed was empty. This put a sense of worry in her heart and she set off in the search of her son. Therefore, as soon as she opened the door the village’s men were bringing a dead body towards Jin’s house. Mrs. Wuxi’s face went blue with shock. It was Jin covered in blood and several stabs on his chest. Mrs. Wuxi fell unconscious on the site of this incident. On inquiry they got to know it was found floating in the spring beneath the bridge of Toyotama.
