Prologue

Anna POV

0

I stand in the yard of the kindergarten and watch the children. I have been working for a month now, and I am pleased. In a new city and with new students, I was a little anxious at first, but now I'm used to it, and I like it. The residents I have met so far are amiable, and my children seem to like me. We are doing very well with each other. I love kids for it, and I chose this profession. The love and honesty you get from them are unique.

0

“Alex, please don't put this in your mouth,” I say to one of the kids, and I proceed to the side of

0

“Sorry, miss Anna,” he answers in a low voice.

0

“If you're hungry, you have your snack, honey,” I say with a laugh.

0

“Come with me to clean you.”

0

“Yes, miss, thank you” We went to the bathroom and met Alice, a colleague.

0

“Hello, miss. Alice,” says Alex excitedly.

0

“Hello, Alex, did you eat dirt again? We say I'm not good,” Alice replies, shaking her head. Alex lowers his head

0

“It's ok. He'll learn. Right, Alex?”

0

“Yes, I'm sorry.” I smile at Alice and go to leave.

0

“Anna, I have a meeting tonight at my house. Would you like to come? Will you meet some of my friends?” Alice is one of my colleagues who have always been friendly with me from the beginning. Maybe the reason is that we are both the same age at 26, and perhaps it will help me integrate. I'm thinking of going, and I have nothing else to do

0

“Sure, I have nothing to do. Do you want me to bring something?”

0

“Only your company. I will be thrilled to meet you with my friends and my boyfriend. I keep talking to them about you.”

0

“I hope for good things,” I say with a laugh

0

“of course”

0

“Okay, we'll talk later. Let's go, Alex,” I say and walk with Alex to the bathroom

0

“Okay, see you,” says Alice

0

As I clean Alex, I notice that he is looking at me. “All right, Alex?”

0

“Yes, ma'am. I'm just looking at you; you're wonderful.”

0

“Thank you, very kind of you.”

0

“And Fiona likes you very much” Fiona is his twin sister, a lovely, and kind little girl.

0

“And I love you all very much,” I say and look him in the eyes

0

“Ok, all good. All clean, like new”

0

“Thank you” I smile and go to the door

0

“Let's go to class; the bell rang” I hold the door open, and we move on. We go in and look at all the kids in their seats. “Okay, guys, it's Friday. This was the last bell. You all know what that means.”

0

“Free time!!!” all together shouting excitedly

0

“Exactly, you can play, paint, we can discuss whatever you want.” some children painted, some came near me, and we discussed various topics. The time passed without me realizing it, and it was time to leave. As soon as they collected the things to put them in their place, Fiona came to me.

0

“Miss Anna, I painted this for you,” she told me in her sweet voice

0

“Thank you very much, honey” was a painting with her holding hands and me

0

“It's lovely, thank you,” I say and hug her. I always liked the contact with the children. They made me feel so loved, and I had years to feel that way. At 18, before I went to college, I lost my parents in a car accident. I loved them, and they loved me so much. The college was relatively lonely, I did not make stable friends. As soon as I finished college and worked in my first school, I met Liam. The man who made me feel useless and insignificant. But during the hours I was at school, I felt perfect. The children made me feel loved. Always that guys and I had a good relationship with them. I was so lucky on that.

0

“Bye, Mrs. Anna. I can't wait to see you again on Monday.”

0

“See you on Monday. Have a great weekend.”

0

I finish the class and get ready to leave. I say goodbye to my colleagues and go home. Likewise, I have to prepare for the night as well. I can't do anything with empty hands.
