Chapter 1: New Beginnings
“Phyre, Tora, Atan, Ian!” Our mums called out.
“Lunch’s ready!”
“Coming!” We all look up simultaneously at the mention of food. Our parents just laugh at the sight of us all running to grab the best slice of bread to dump into our soup.
“I win!” I yell triumphantly as all the boys pant with their hands on their knees.
“No - pant- fair - pant - we’ll win next time Phyre!” All the boys glare as I stuff the biggest piece of bread possible into my mouth. After swallowing I smile sweetly at them as they all sit down next to me to eat.

- 2 hours later
Once the boys had gone it was just me in the dining room. I was reading one of my fav books; Anne Of Green Gables, that was until my brother interrupted me.
“Hey ‘Lil’ sis!” Tora my twin calls wrapping me in his arms.
“Whatcha doin?” he asks.
“Nothing, Why?” I ask back skeptically. My brother was great and all but he wouldn’t just give me a hug out of the blue.
“Oh I don’t know, I just wanted to do THIS!!” He started tickling me.
“Eek!” I squeal
“Thats what you get for pranking me ‘Lil’ sis!” Tora my twin states with a triumphant smirk, he knows all my weak spots. Fortunately our dad came into the room at that moment, noticing my distress he growled.
“Tora get off your poor sister and let her breath,“he says
“Now are you okay sweetheart?” My dad says to me as his face softens.
“Yeah dad, I’m alright,” I say.
“Okay good now, what did you do to make your brother tickle you?” he asks raising a brow. I let out a nervous laugh.
“Um, well you see that I may or may not have filled his shower head and body lotions with baby powder.” I say, Suddenly an amused glint passes through his eyes and he lets out a muffled chuckle as he stands up.
“Sorry son, but she got you good this time!” he laughs, my brother just stands in shock as our dad walks out of the room wiping the tears from his eyes as he laughs to himself.

After a massive prank war ended between Tora and I, our parents decided to go on holiday without us. They even invited Atan and Ians parents as well. They said and I quote, ’That you are 18 and you are the legal age to look after yourselves.” Now, Back to the Future!! Oops, the present!
As we wave goodbye to our parents and watch them leave, I hear Atan’s tummy rumble.
“Oops!” He says blushing.
“I can’t believe it,” Ian states.
“It wasn’t that loud!” Atan says offended.
“I wasn’t talking about that you numtie” Ian says back quoting Ron Weasily from Harry Potter.
“Oops sorry!” Atan says still blushing.
“I can’t believe they left me, my annoying twin and bestfriends alone in the house for a month to go on holiday,” I state in disbelief as Tora glares at me playfully.
“Yeah,” Atan and Ian say stunned.
“You guys wanna head to the arcade?” I ask.
“I really ain’t in the mood, I still can’t believe she on cheated me.” Tora said sadly.
“Okay then, Atan, Ian look after Tora for me while I go tell Cam that our two year anniversary will have to wait,” I say.
“No-one is leaving Tora until he feels better.” I say after a pause. Tora ex-girlfriend was found cheating on him with one of his rugby friends, like who does that?
“No,” Tora looks up at me from his spot he had decided to sit on on the floor.
“You are not letting your anniversary slip through your fingers just like that, just because my relationship went down the drain doesn’t mean that you can spend time with Cam, Phy” Tora states
“No,” I say
“Yes”
“NO!”
“YES!”
“FINE!” I yell,
“Good.” he says with a triumphant smirk, and that was the end of that. I was going.

- 4 hours later
After preparing what to wear and picking up Cams gift, I went strait to his house. I grabbed out the key he had given me last year and unlocked the door. I knew that he was probably up in his room listening to music or something, so I went strait up to his room. I stopped when I heard a moan coming from his room. I peeked in and saw my friend Stephanie on top of Cam naked! I slammed open the door.
“How Fucking Dare You!” I scream as I walk up to the both of them, still in the same position, stunned. I slapped my ex-friend in the face,
“You Bitch!” she said holding her cheek, that would leave a bruise.
“No you’re the bitch steph” I say
“Oh and don’t think that I forgot about you, you dickhead” I calmly say as I push him in the face with tears in my eyes.
“Goodbye Cameron” I say his full name, he hated it.
I smirked when I Saw him flinch at my words.
“Oh and by the way shitheads,” I say holding back my tears.
“Go to fucking hell!” I say as I slam the door behind me. I run down the stairs and bump into someone on my way out of the house.
“Sorry!” I say looking up to meet crystal blue eyes.
“Mine!” He growls possessively as he crushes me into his chest. Tiny fireworks erupt all over my body.
“Let go of me! I’m no-one’s!!” I scream, when he doesn’t let go I knee him in the place where the sun don’t shine. When he does I take the opportunity to run to my car. When I jump in I see that he is already in his car like he’s ready to follow me. How did he get there so fast? I just drive home, scared out of my mind of this dude. When I reach home I run into the house just in time time to lock all the doors before I fall down to my butt and start uncontrollably sobbing.
“Phyre?” The boys hop off the couch to see who’s there.
“I’m here,” I can hear my voice crack.
“What did he do to you?!!” My brother asks... more like yells as he possessively hugs me and carries me into the lounge room and places me on the couch as I continuously sob uncontrollably. No-one and I mean no-one can tell you how mad my brother gets with having a black eye, well apart from the innocent people that is. I’ve never in my whole life have I seen his so angry before. Everyone knows that if they hurt me, my bestfriends and brother will go after them and beat them up. That’s how overprotective they can be.
“What happened Phyre?” My brother asks while his face softens. I tell them everything and their faces are red with anger that is until I tell them how I slapped Stephanie, pushed Cameron and kicked the weird dude in his so-called ‘crowned jewels’ as my brother calls them, then they were impressed.
“I’m still gonna kick his arse tomorrow,” My brother and best friends state referring to Cameron. Knowing that there was no stopping them I just nod and fall asleep in my brother arms.
