In the middle of the road..
Even though she was on a dark narrow road alone, she felt lost.
Yet, she kept going.
There were tens of points in a single day where life would give her a choice of five different roads.
Sometimes, she'd sit still. Think of what road she'll be picking to which there's no coming back from and will eventually lead to a certain point in her life which, in a way, she found risky.
She was indecisive at all times.
She felt lost. Several times.
At some point, she had had enough and decided to lay back still. No progress... Watching everyone else racing down their own roads- she feels like an absolute
loser
.
She again, and always, relied on people. On mostly motivation. She wanted to get up, she found it truly hard. Her own biological house-mates never gave the tiniest of their second thoughts on her.
She thought to herself that perhaps indeed she doesn't deserve to be something and is meant to be tossed down the trash.
As she laid back and looked up at the dark sky her eyes wandered around while connecting down the sparkling stars. She finds herself realizing and loving something- Or perhaps, yet finding something else that isn't as boring.
Her thoughts started to wander along the lines of:
"
What if there were other dimensions?
"
"
What if there were other us in different worlds?
"
"
How about past lives? They must be true
."
Heretics
. They say.
But she found it interesting, in a way. She needed to know-
Or perhaps to get by thing she has been attracted to, for the first time.
"Horoscope" she started reading of. Loved it.
A
Capricorn
she had found out.
A
Scorpio
moon sign.
"
What about the dimensions? Us... Somewhere else?
"
As time flew by, she has noticed how of a misfit she is on Earth. The absolute odd-one-out. No matter how much she tries, she knew she would find neither
a someone
nor
a more
.
She found herself to be completely disinterested in something she knows hates her-
Company
-until the very moment.
She finally plans she wouldn't and she quotes "
No more chasing
."
How people called "The alien" thought she would never put that over context. She did. Little did they know, she only felt complimented hearing it- knowing the big misfit she is.
And in fact, considered herself as the alien on Earth. She thought while sinking deeper, "
What if the alien in me, actually exists? But somewhere I don't know yet. Venus?
"
Since she naturally picked Venus out of all other planets with no second thought or a specific reason. She very much can be right about it.
Her thought drowned her mind into thinking she belongs somewhere else- especially when creatures around her proved it. "
Venus...?
" she asked.
The more they try and show her how much of a trash can she is, the more felt unwanted and unworthy of living.
She looked into the mirror, and all she could make out was an emotionless creature. "Oh. I am indeed an alien" she murmured.
And the following line followed her murmurs-
"
Why did the alien in me... choose me to embody?
"
