PROLOGUE

Inside the enchanting empire of Xoudia was a hidden mystical place called La Forêt de l’Est.

La Forêt de l’Est is a magical forest. It is a forest full of lush green trees, bright glowing animals, and big plump fruits full of juices. The air also carries a frighteningly sweet smell filled with ambient mana.

An attractive male omega was harvesting fruits, tending to magical beasts, and humming an all-too-familiar tune as the sun hung high in the sky.

On the other side of the thick trees, a pitiful bloody man was dragging his body towards the said magical place.

Off to the side, a few warriors riding horses carrying various weapons were searching for someone who they referred to as a ‘prince’. Then the warriors would split up to look around, meet, discuss then continue searching.

An elegant young man can be seen pacing around an exquisite fancy room, looking as if he was deliberating about something. He’d keep staring out the window and at the door as if he was awaiting something.

In the eastern corner of the city stood a small shop. While everything was happening in the city center, the owner dragged out a bench and sat down in front of his shop, cooling himself off with a fan.

In anticipation, he poked his head outside and saw a group of majestic-looking people. Those people look like they were having so much fun and commemorating something. The owner respectfully bowed in front of the gentlemen and guided them inside the store.

Sure, this place was the capital of the Xoudia Empire, but the shops by the edge of the city barely had any customers. On top of that, this specific location was even worse than the others. However, this place was very secluded. Perfect for discussing private things.

This used to be a shop that sold random things, like healing ointments and ordinary weapons. However, as the shop was bought by a mysterious wealthy man, it turned into a tavern, unfrequented by the public.

Inside the shop, you could see people drinking and celebrating.

The atmosphere was light and warm until a person resembling a servant arrived and delivered the news. The joyful atmosphere immediately turned somber, and they left.

Everett Wood has been living in the woods for as long as he can remember. His family had all died, leaving him as the sole survivor. Fortunately, he discovered his power early on and trained himself to be proficient with it.

This world is called the Vanishing Havens, a forgotten place similar to ancient times. When the world shifted, it ejected people with peculiar blood. The Alphas, Betas, and Omegas were then transported to a distant planet where everything was clean and the place was packed with mana.

The first people understood they couldn’t repeat the same mistake they did on Earth, so they prohibited technological development. They disclosed that it was the first rule to be established in the new world. They made a pact that forbade people from polluting the planet and split into groups.

The first group formed a Dynasty and concentrated solely on Martial Arts. They focused on cultivation whilst also utilizing the Qi present in the environment.

The second group established an alchemical kingdom.

They focused primarily on studying rehabilitation spells and were small and peaceful. They did not research religion but rather learned about various plants on the planet as well as how to make potions and pills.

The final group established an Empire centered on magic. The magic they learned was probably on the same wavelength because of the influence of the other two groups. The alpha males all have Destruction Wizardry, the betas have Illusion Conjuring, and the omegas have Healing Ritual.

The majority of alphas on the planet are men, whereas all omegas are women. The betas are a combination of both genders.

However, Everett was a big difference.

When he was young, he and his family constantly moved places. He’s been to both the Dynasty and the Kingdom. However, they were quickly discovered and forced to relocate to new hiding places.

That was until they suddenly set foot in the empire and heard about the forest. They were forced to flee to the forest, where they attempted to make a living.

The forest was rumored to be a mana-filled haven, but few could survive there because it was overrun with magical power. His family tried their luck, but the mana was too potent. They did everything they could to ensure that he would survive and leave the place, but he did not.

He wasn’t sure why his parents wanted him to leave the forest at the time. He had the impression that there was nothing wrong with the forest. As a result, he survived. On rainy days, he lived in a cave. During summer, he would spend the night on top of the trees, eating everything edible around him.

He grew up in the forest, communicating with magical beasts and living in peace and serenity with various plants that let him do whatever he wants.

When he was hungry for meat, he would go ask magical beasts to hunt it for him, he would pick fruits and vegetables in the forest most of the time, and in his spare time, he would study plants and their uses. He lived a life like a hermit peacefully under the protection and guidance of the forest.

His life was just monotonous all year round until his beloved plants told him a piece of very shocking news. Someone was on his way to the forest and desperately needed his help and support.

So without waiting any longer, he went in the direction guided by the plants to look for that person. He asked the magical beasts to help him carry that person to his newly built hut and tried his best to heal him.

His previous uneventful life was stirred up as he helped an unconscious man and brought him to safety.
