Blacken
Some say what do a multicultural or multiracial woman care about anything in the Black community. Why is she involved she ain’t black.
I hear this on a wide range of sites and meet ups in the community. Sometimes I want to give up. Why should I care about a group of social outcast.
I don’t need to say I am black. I can say I am Latino ,or Indian or white which I have a large percentage of. Why should I claim a group of people that don’t want to claim me. Then I think of one thing.
My mom. My mom is American Indian and black and when I look at her I see a beautiful women of color. Beautiful. And this is the reason why I care so much about the black community.
My mom is the pure beauty and image of my god and creator. My mom is a strong women. Her father who was black American left his wife with 9 kids to care for, which is a theme repeated throughout the Black American community.
Black or Blackness to me in my opinion can only be claimed and defined by the Blacks of America. Blackness is a perfect description on and about a community that derived and Developed from multiple cultures, ethnicity and religions; which had been boxed into a communicably environment.
Where phenotype (skin color and tone), share of style and music, has contributed to the word Black-ness. No Culture in the world can claim this but the Black Americans.
Other nations can claim Melanie in their skin but not blackness. Black-ness defines the betrayal, of being sold and bought, and the strength that developed from it.
Blackness defines the murder, rape and family separation that still today the President of the united States root for, fight for and oppress upon our communities. Wall anyone?
Black-ness Is everything that other cultures from Africa, India, Latin America even Europe; try to absorb as if its their own.
So Why wouldn’t I speak about how I feel about the most adored, envied, hated and emulated culture in the whole world!
And its not that we don’t appreciate other People of colors admiration for our what they call it “SWAG”. But this conversation is not about them.
Its not about other POC (people of color), who will never ever feel or understand the oppression of the Black Americans living amongst European cultures that hated them for hundreds of years.(And Black Americans still stand tall.)
This book is about the Black American community Looking beyond the mirror image to find out who they truly are and how to proceed.
This book holds conversations about shit happening in Black American communities; that are just not being addressed or listened to, because people are scared to mention them out of fear of being guilt-ed.
So the intellectuals and the so called famous, that supposed to be leaders and voices in the community stay quiet out of fear of losing their status in life or offending someone.
They just brush it away hoping that it would get better even when no one actually make the effort to do so.
These are conversations that both builders of the community, Black-men and Black-women need to start having in the community and not just as a cross fire on social media IG pages or Facebook, but out in the community.
As I see it they are both on the same level of thinking but not on the same side .They purposefully divert issues to either pick old wounds that never healed among themselves. They don’t even listen long enough to each other to be able to discuss what hurt or don’t help their community.
Issues like the lack of recognition and respect to the very women who are the strengths of the world.
That’s right I said it, and that’s right you read it. Black women have been the strength, care takers, teachers supporters of the black community.
But yet they are the ones who takes the most abuse from the world and their own men. Did you ever hear” you hate what you most envy”.
Just ask the European Americans as they produce hip hop videos, twerk videos and wear the very wigs and weaves that they use to tease Black American women for doing.
Even Black men wearing weaves and other things that black women wear that they once laughed and allowed other cultures to tease the black women about.
Lets be honest The Black American women are the most hated and degraded in the world. And the black Black man, world and the media sexualize the black women, but never defend or compromise-with or for them.
The black women endure this on a daily bias starting from birth when they produce eggs and become FEMALE=Women.
But the worse abuse I noticed comes from their very own men. The ones that are supposed to defend, uplift and protect them.
So why is this mix-breed whose married to an Punjabi( sexy ass man ) care about the black community and how they Don’t communicate. Again because of mom
I saw how my mom struggled and how other women of color born in the black community, If they spoke Spanish, mixed or not; had struggled.
And this is a conversation that is seriously over due and it may not even be welcomed. But it is a most.
Remember we may have a POC world community. But there is only one Black community of the United states of America. And its time to sit down and communicate. Its time.
This book are of real people, real topics from people that are identified as black men and Black women from across the United states of America.
I have changed their names and I have re- written many of hundreds of comments and statements to create a dialogue and a story. This book will outline varies topics that are very sensitive within the black community.
This is my last warning,If anyone is overly sensitive I warn you this book is no hold back, and there will be some subjects or more in this book that will offend you.
But this is and must be addressed. The black Community is wounded, so lets start the healing by opening up communication.
