Chapter 1
Goku looked around at his present home that he lived in.
Two years ago, Chi-Chi had requested for a divorce. In truth, as he realized all she did was yell at his mis-wrongs. In the end, she got her wish to be away from him. Chi-Chi had told the judge she couldn’t be with Goku anymore, that she had enough of his ways. Goku sought his best and she revealed her concern for his poor actions, but in the end it led to this. She also mentioned she didn’t want no money from him. That her freedom is what she truly desired. In terms, the judge granted her wish. No custody was given, since both boys were at the age of adulthood. When the judge asked Goku if there was anything he wanted. Goku’s replied was:
“She can have it all. As long as she is happy.”
The judge nodded and with the pounding of his gavel, the deed was done.
Goku made contact with his sons daily by the cellphone that Bulma had given to him, but today he got to see them.
Once the news was foretell to the boys. Gohan was more upset than his brother. Gohan claimed that they should try harder. At this time, Goku placed his hand on his son’s back and told that it was too late and it was already settled. Goku also added that Gohan’s mother’s happiness is what matters that she’s been through so much over the years, because of Goku. It was the least he could do. Gohan sighed and assented to show he agreed with his father.
Goten, now just turned eighteen years old, was very supportive to both his parents. At his age, he was still undecided about his future.
“Hey Goten, how are ya? Your mom said you haven’t made any choices for your future, yet?” Goku asked his younger son.
“Things are good. There’s classes I want to take at a nearby college that I am interested in. I will tell mom about it later this evening.”
“That’s great!” Goku replied.
After the word was spread about Chi-Chi and Goku separation, his friends told him how sorry they were. Even the Ox King, Chi-Chi’s father, had come and talked to him. When he heard Goku’s side, his assumption that it was his daughter’s idea was correct. Goku confessed to the Ox King that he really did try. The Ox King nodded that he understood and imply to Goku, that sometimes you can’t change who you are. And people need to learn to accept that.
Now, Goku lives in the same homestead that he shared with his grandpa.
Goku let his giant fingers attempt to repeatedly pick up the small invite from Bulma.
Even though Bulma had his number as well, she still wanted to do something nice for her friend, and have the excuse to throw a festivity, too. Goku chuckled to himself. She had dropped off the entreat the other day when she came to check on him.
“It was nice to have someone to listen to.” Goku admitted, as his eyes glanced at the fancy print on the paper.
The two friends chatted about their past adventures. In which, one had left them laughing at the recall of it.
“See Goku, you need this! Please come! This party will help get your mind off of things! If you don’t, Vegeta is going to drive me crazy to find someone to train with!”
“What if she-”
“Don’t worry, Goku! Chi-Chi won’t be there. She’s out of town.” Bulma soothed and added. “This time, I will make sure that enough food is prepared for ya.”
“Sounds good!”
“Alright! See you then!” Bulma stated and handed him the small note.
The flashback ended and Goku smiled, followed by a heavy sigh. The bash that Bulma’s was having was tomorrow. He kept telling himself he didn’t want to go. However, something deep within him said to go.
Goku sniffed himself and made a disgusted face. He was in need of a bath and a fresh change of clothes.
Goku got up and gathered the items he would need to wash his body. He walked towards the nearby stream. Goku stripped his bottom attire and shoes. He stepped into the cool waterfall. The beads of water were hard on his skin, as they would bounce and flow down his exposed body.
Afterwards, he realized that night had appeared. Goku went to his small bed and turned down the covers and slipped in and fell asleep.
The next day went by fast and soon it was time to head over to Bulma’s shindig.
Goku examined his features into the already cracked mirror. The half human-half gorilla stared back at him with yellow eyes that mocked his movements. Goku’s appearance catches him off guard at times, no matter how much he’s used to it. He put on his cleaned casual yellow pants with a blue slash, arm and ankle cuffs that matched, along with his black shoes.
Goku began to feel nervous, which wasn’t like him. He professed to himself that it would be good to see everyone again. Goku went outside and closed the door. Then, he took to the skies, soaring higher and away from his safety net.
Moments later, he reached Capsule Corporation. Goku heard the noise coming from the backyard, but before he made another move. He felt a hand on his shoulder. In which, Goku turned towards it.
“It’s good to see you again, Goku!” Trunks said, delighted.
“Oh! Hi-ya Trunks! Yeah, it’s been a while. It feels good to be back!” Goku exclaimed and simpered.
Trunks smiled at his friend.
“Come, everyone is waiting!” Trunks instructed.
With that, Goku and Trunks took off from the roof and down below to where everyone was at.
The extravagant tents shaded the tables that had every known dish on them. Bulma did keep her word on having plenty of food and drinks. Goku’s mouth began to watered from the aroma of food that filled the air, as he passed them.
At that moment, Goku grabbed a plate and filled it full. One by one, Goku’s friends would come and talk with him. They acted like nothing ever happened. Each one expressed how thrilled they were on he’s return.
“It’s good to be here!” Goku announced.
“Good to know, you are still listening to the Saiyan deep within, Kakarot!” Vegeta commented.
“Hi there, Vegeta!”
“Oh, there you are, Goku! I’m glad you came.” Bulma asserted.
Goku gave her his best smile, as she gave one back.
A woman proceeded out of the cab. She strolled apprehensively out, to where the function was being held.
‘Was she ready for this?’
The woman pushed back a strand of hair behind her ear and said the following.
“Well, here I go!”
