Chapter 1
Storms rumbled above me,it was a horrible day we had to move again itseemed like every time I settled down we would move and every time I asked my mum why we had to move all she would say is "It's for the best".For all my life my mum would creep around being secretive.She worked at a power plant and would stay there from 6am to midnight, I don't even know when she slept but she always seemed to be busy working on a project for the plant.
I spent most of my time with my Nana Maria.She was in her mid forties but was still the most beautiful person I had ever met. She had long curly black hair that went down to her waist and the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes with roasted chestnut skin.I looked exactly like her except I had Gold eyes. But when I was twelve years old she died in a fire.Ever since my nana died my mum quit her job to "spend more time with me but I don't buy it.Ever since nana died she seemed shaken up about something.That was the first time we moved away but many others followed and soon we wouldn't stay at places for longer than two months.
"Reyna"my mum called from downstairs.I snapped out of my daydream,"Coming mum" I shouted.I packed the last of my things and headed downstairs to see my mum impatiently waiting for me."Come on sweetie we have to catch our flight in 2 hours and we can't have a repeat of Venezuela.We missed our flight in Venezuela and had to wait three days since the weather was soo bad.We packed our things in the car and I take one last look at our house and hopped in the car.
We got in the car and I stared out the window , the storm was getting worse and my mum seem to be getting more and more nervous every second we drove. Lightning starts to hammer on the ground and it seems to be comingnearer to us.My mum stops the car I look up, my mum looks at the verge of tears. "They found us"mum said."What are you talking about"a hint of fear creeping up on me.“Get to 12 kairos road DO not trust anyone…..I love you honey and with that everything goes black.
I wake up and see flashing lights."Mum"I groan in pain.My head felt like it's been smashed open."She's awake"a woman in white anounced.I sit up careful not to make me head pain worse than it already is."What happened"I question."I was hoping you could tell us sweetie"she says in a concerned tone.I was about to tell the nurse but I remember what my mum told me "Trust no one."Where am I "I ask "You're in a hospital, a man came in and said he found you on the ground when he was driving.“You should be fine but if you start to forget things contact a hospital immediately ,your free to leave"."Thank you so much have a good day"I say to the nurse.I exit the hospital and breathe in the fresh air.Everything had happened to quickly ,I just needed a second of peace then I can find my mum.
OK I just need to think rationally what to do now should I find 12 kairos Street. Kairos was greek and I had heard mum talking about it its in halki wich is the smallest island in greece.While I was daydreaming I felt a hand pull me into a car.
