"On one level this is an old fashioned page turner. Intriguingly written and deftly unveiled, the book is simultaneously gripping, comedic and tragic. But on a deeper level the writing invokes JG Ballard and his explorations into the (male) psyche. This is both fascinating and rewarding - an excellent read. "
