We meet
Lisha's POV
" Today is going to be busy at the office Lisha, I will be home at 7pm, alright?” my dad said to me while arranging his file, I look up at him, ” So what’s that got to do with me?” I ask quite irritated because all these years he was never there for me, “Lee don’t be rude to me, I’m your father, speak to me with respect puoi imparare qualcosa da me ( You can learn something from me)" He says, “impara cose sull’abbandono di un bambino per tutta la vita!? (learn about abandoning a child for life!?)" I said in frustration, before he could say anything else i walked out of the house, into my car and off to school.
I parked my car and walked through the hallway to my locker,i see Jake"what's up man, you look like shit, you want some fentanly?" he asked in a hushed tone
" Nah, I just had an argument with my dad." I sigh , I shut my locker and we walk to our first class while Jake was babbling about some girl he slept with last night .We get to class and sat down.
40 minutes into the lesson there is a knock at the door, a girl with light green eyes and dark skin walked in " I'm so sorry I'm late I got lost on my way here " she said , " Ah it's alright you must be the exchange student from Africa , what's your name?" the teacher asked her, " Its Brianna Noliyaza and I'm Zambian. " she said , " Nice to meet you Ms Noliyaza , you may take a sit next to Mr Vaughn." What! Her? Next to me?
Her eyes where searching for what seem to be me and for sure our eyes connected, the air felt thick and I swear I felt a spark,she broke the eye contact and came to sit down beside me and God, she smelt so fucking amazing .
The bell rang indicating that the lesson had ended, I put my notebook in my bag when I heard her speak " Hey umm I'm Brianna" she said quite shyly " I know " I said not giving her the same energy ,I don't need her thinking we are friends or something, " Oh yeah umm ...I was wondering if you could show me where room 426B is ? " she asked, " look I don't know how things work in Zambia but here we don't bother people you don't know especially me, alright?" I didn't give her time to respond I just walked off leaving her speechless.
