Chapter 1

Arella was not the cool and popular girl, even though she was king and always ready to help everyone. She just liked the library and the silence more than the said normal student type.

Luke, however, not so much. Transferred from God knows where, he’s the mysterious one. Constantly rude and won’t let anyone get close.

“I can see them...” Arella’s low and soft voice broke the silence.

“What are you talking about?” Luke asked, confused by the girl’s words.

“Your wings... I can see your wings.” She took a deep breath. “And I know no one else can see them but me.” She spoke, this time, more confident. She could see them clearly. At his right there was a black wing, at his left a white one. They were beautiful.

“You’re crazy, I don’t have wings.”

Luke spoke only the truth. He was a demon. Son of one of the fallen. Dragged with all of them. There was no way he could have wings. It was impossible. But then, how could Arella see such thing? Who was she?

Hello, there! I saw your post in the Introduce Yourself group, but for some reason Inkitt doesn't allow its users to respond to some posts.

I like what you have done with this chapter. You make it very clear what the backbone of the story will be from the very beginning, you establish the dynamic between the main characters, but for the rest you provide little to no information, letting the reader know barely enough to keep them interested without losing the surprise element. And you do all of that in a very straightforward way which I found quite refreshing and enjoyable.

You're off to a great start with this book! Keep it up!

NP! It was certainly something different, but finding different writing styles is something I quite enjoy so thank you for that!

Also, if you're into fantasy/romance, I am currently working on a book called KINTSUkuroi. It's a story about a Giant woman and a Human man who become friends in a world that has been scarred by a two-thousand-year-long war between both species. If you'd like, I'd appreciate it if you could check it out and let me know what you think. It's my first time writing an original story so any feedback would help me improve! :)
