Forever is a lie
Love? Even the word sounds foreign,
Trust? Not always genuine.
Then I starts to question myself, am I ready?
am I ready for the heartaches?
am I ready for the broken promises?
am I ready to make sacrifices?
Most importantly, am I ready to commit,
totally and willingly?
Am I ready to give my all?
What if it leads to my downfall,
What if I get hurt in the end,
Wouldn't I be a laughingstock to my friends?
My thoughts are running in circles,
What if something bad happens,
Is it okay to fall in love?
What if the red light went off,
Is that the end to this farce
or infatuation or perhaps,
I could always try,
but we all know forever is a lie.
