Snow fell as quiet as the streets surrounding the small, tired boy. His breath came out as white wisps as he exhaled a sigh.
It was nearing the dead of winter and things have gotten that somber silence to it. The night sky looks unfamiliar with the lack of stars at this time of night, thick storm clouds are covering everything that resembles another world in the sky. No moon is seen through the thick winter fog as the pale, tired boy walked towards his destination, snow puffs dusting his hair and clothes. The usual loud bustle of the streets is gone, strangers walking along with their loved ones are indoors, stray animals are no where in sight, and all the street market stalls have shut down. Everything is so silent. So still. So dead.
"Yeah," he smirked, "dead like me."
