Chapter 1
Sara..
March 26, 2020 marked a day in history for South Africa and its sad to be part of this. Everyone is ordered to stay inside. It's seems it won't be for to long as it has been set for 21 days. Just as a preventative measure to stop the spread they say..
I tried to do some shopping before it closed down, but all the shops was super busy as people are all freaking out about the announcement. We would need to follow what is required from us as the army has been sent out to ensure that people are staying inside. I wonder if they have thought this through as people don't handle being STUCK inside well.
I am one of the few lucky one's who can work from home as we are essential workers. Did not think that this job would ever matter this much.
As I am a single girl in my 20's I am going to miss being able to go to the coffee shop down the road or meet my friends at the shopping center for some retail therapy. When you work at least during the week you can see you co-worker, now I am completely stuck on my own. Will have to video call to keep in touch. I don't really know any of my neighbors, just Mrs Paten next door but her daughter fetched her to stay with them in this time to ensure she is ok and safe.
I will phone my parents tonight to see how their 1st day has been.
WE CAN DO THIS ONLY 21 DAYS....
