Chapter 1

My parents died when I was 10 and 11 years old. The first to die was my mom, she died because dad cheated and left us. Mom still loved him after everything that caused her to grow flowers. Dad’s death was more painful. He was poised by the mistress. She killed him and took the money he had to his name.

At 19 years old I lost my older brother to the curse. He loved a girl a little too much when he confessed she turned him down. A week later I found him hanging from the ceiling with red flowers coming out of his mouth and eyes.

Then at 20, my best friend from childhood old told me that he loved me. But I couldn’t return his feelings no matter how hard I tried. Like everyone else, he died a week later. Only he forced me to watch as the flowers touched his heart. Ever since then I closed my heart hoping it will never be open again.

The first day of college was a bust. No one paid attention to me. It didn’t matter to me. The less attention I had the better. Time wasn’t anything either. One moment I was in my morning classes and the next I was in noon classes.

My last class was history. In this class, we all had to introduce ourselves, something that I was avoiding. There were a total of four students, five including me. Clearly, no one cares about history. I don’t blame them, history always lies. And you can’t go back past and change them.

In a world of magic going back to the past is something of a myth. Some say it is possible while others say it is impossible.

The first student introduced themselves.

“Hello everyone my name is Jun, I’m non-binary and I go by any pronounce” they smiled. Their smile was sweet and I almost melted. Although their eyes were black I could see them shining.

Before I knew it was my turn to present myself. I stood from my chair and as loud as I possibly could I said “Hi, my name is Daisy Springs ″ I sat back down. Waiting for everyone to start whispering, and like always they did. Even the teacher looked at me in shock.
