Chapter 1
My hand trailed down her nearly fully naked body, only having her underwear left on. I had no idea what I was doing, I mean, I was only 18 and I had never slept with a girl before. But here she is. Sitting on my lap, both of us undressed, our bodies pressing against eachother.
Alright, now might be a good time to explain how I got here. Here’s how the story starts..
“Hey Chloe!”, I hear my best friend Danielle shout from across the hallway at school, embarrassing me as usual. She’s really loud, not even just now, she’s just a really loud person. Pretty hyper I’d say.
“Hey Danielle,” I giggle back in response.
She runs up to me and hugs me so tight I can hardly breathe, it feels as if my entire rib cage is getting crushed by a hydraulic press.
“Have you seen the new episode of Lucifer yet?” She says excitedly, grinning widely.
Oh boy. Here we go again, listening to her ramble on about a show that I’m not even interested in, nor even plan to watch. I already hated constantly seeing it on the media, now I have to deal with her talking about it all the time too.
“No Danielle, I already told you, I’m not interested in watching it.” I groan in annoyance, “Plus I don’t even have Netflix, I prefer to watch shows on Hulu instead.”
“Yeah well the only reason you even bought Hulu anyways was to watch a ton of lesbians make out on The L Word,” she teases.
My face flushed red, turning away from her so she doesn’t see, “What I watch in my free time is none of your concern.”
We keep walking down the hallway, heading to our classes, until..
“Hey emo, It’s not Halloween anymore y’know!” some stupid boy from across the hall yells towards my friend and all of his friends start laughing. My friend is goth and she wears a lot of dark clothes and makeup, so she gets picked on a lot for that. It’s a pretty small school and a lot of the kids here are rednecks with mullets. Ew.
I started to get pissed off, wanting to serve justice for my friend. I’m not exactly strong in the physical sense but I can strike up a really good argument with someone and get their blood boiling.
As I start to walk over there my friend grabs my arm, “Just leave it,” she sighs.
I don’t understand why she just lets them treat her like that, I hate it. If she really wanted to she could beat their asses. I mean, she’s a butch lesbian and she’s strong as hell. Before when she’s gotten into a fight with a guy it ended with him crying for his mommy. Seriously. He has major mommy issues.
I let it go and me and her walked into our class together.
“You’re late.” The teacher says in a stern tone, tapping her foot in annoyance, glaring at us.
“Well I-,” She cuts me off, “No excuses, now go and sit down in your seats.”
“Yes Ma’am,” I reply and sit down at my seat, while my friend groans and gives the teacher a death stare before sitting down at hers, like how she does almost every day as if it’s a part of her routine now. She really must hate this teacher.
“Yes Ma’am,” Danielle sneers, clearly mocking me, “Since when did you become such a goody-two-shoes?”
Knowing that she’s upset I don’t reply, getting my Chromebook out and starting to do my work on it, every day in the morning we have to think of a new plot that we’d like to read in a book and write it down.
After I get done working on the assignment Valorie walks into the room and my heart feels as if it nearly stops. My face goes red and I get nervous, looking down at my paper. I can’t help it, she’s so pretty, It’s like every time I see her face I wanna kiss her. She’s got such long pretty blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes. She sits down and the teacher doesn’t even mention how she’s late, it’s as if she didn’t care at all. And I thought that pretty privilege didn’t exist..
My friend, sitting next to me nudges me a bit and giggles. She knows that I like Valorie, and she makes it her job to torment me about it every moment she’s able to.
“When are you gonna go and talk to her?” my friend says, smiling at me.
“Eventually.. I just wanna make sure the timing is right and I don’t wanna embarrass myself in front of her,” my voice goes quieter as I start to say the last sentence, “and what if she’s not even into girls like that?”

I really enjoyed this! The characters feel authentic and the story handles its themes with care. Would love to see how things develop — great work!
