Chapter 1
Magnus held his head in his hands as grief consumed him. His long dark red hair hung havey on his shoulders, His beautiful wife was gone. In the dead of night He saw her get carried off by one of those hellish beasts. It was big and white with large black wings on it's back. It had black claws and breathed black hell fire. It's eyes were the color of gold.
Magnus knew That the look in it's eyes will forever haunt him. He didn't notice his father and brother walk in. His father had put his hand on his back. Magnus looked at his father and met his gray eyes that looked at him with pity. " It's ok son " his father rubbed his back. His brother came around to him. " There, there " his brother smack him on the back while rolling his eyes at Magnus who was in mourning for his wife. " I'm sure you'll find a new wife Magnus, and she might be a new mother for Bjorn as well... " Magnus looked at his brother in shock, how could he say such a thing, Tove was the only wife he'd ever truly love. But when he looked in to his brother's winter blue eyes and saw bitterness in them.
Magnus shook his head at his brother before his father started up. " We must move on son, we can think about all this later. Come let's get you to bed, you'll see things more clearly in the morning " Magnus looked at him with red eyes and tear stained cheek. he had no energy to fight his father, maybe sleeping will help him, he led Magnus to his room and patted his back. " rest son, the kingdom can't see ya like this " Erik looked into his son's sad blue's gray eyes. he was slightly disappointed in his son for weeping over a woman. women were all over ozon, not to mention she gave birth to a runt.
Erik watched as his son walked into his room and shut the door with a soft slam. Eirk walked down to sitting room and ordered a servant to get them some tea. as the servant left to make they're tea, Erik sat down in the biggest chair in the room while his other son Arvid took the other chair. he did his part and gave him a strong grandson. he had rowen's black hair and cunning mind.
but Erik know Arvid wasn't the the brightest jewel in the coffer. he was cunning but not too bright. Erik sat in the chair and thought about how he was going to find a new wife for Magnus. he needed someone that would bare him heathy Grandchildren not a runt like tove did. he should have seen it coming, she was small like a Roman woman not strong or tall like other women of ozon.
she was beautiful he'll admit with strawberry blonde hair that set in curl's with deep green eyes. she may have killed a bear during the hunt but she also gave his son a runt to raise on. it was small and would likely die soon. it had toves green eyes and Magnus's hair. as Erik was thinking he heard the servants bring the tea and promptly left.
Erik poured himself a cup of tea and drank from his cup before placing it back onto the tray. He turned to see Arvid watching his father. Eirik raised an eyebrow at him as if to say What do you want?
Avrid looked at his father. " so how do we get rid of the runt? " Erik sipped at his tea. " we'll get Magnus a new wife and the runt will die on its own any way " he replied and then finished his tea. Arvid stood and left without another word.
