Relationship drama and office politics, with a bit of spy thriller thrown in
"This is a story about two mercenary government contractors. It starts slow with a bit of office drama. There is relationship chaos led by the female lead Ellerie who is actively flirting with two of her co-workers (after leaving her last job where she slept with the married boss) and Jackson the male lead who keeps fighting with himself - running away and then running back. This story is 80% office romance drama and 20% spy thriller. ⭐️My favorite thing about this author is the dialogue. In this story Ellerie occasionally breaks out with a comment in French. Most of the times a direct translation is provided but occasionally there is not and if you don’t speak French you might need a translation app or to infer from context. This is my least favorite book in this series. I struggle to connect with the female lead and I would never ever, ever be friends with her in real life!! She just really gives me the icks . . . But it is a sign of a good author when you can get invested in the characters enough to be mad at them 😂 🎥 Dual perspectives. Written in 2nd person. (Eg ‘You saw the door open and you stepped through.’ 🤬 Some swearing. 🔪 Graphic violence. Torture scenes. 💋 Graphic sex scenes. 🔚 No cliff hangers. The stand alone third book in the Specter Series. "

"I was curious about her story from Killerwolf. It's nice to know more about the lady boss☺️ Ellaire is amazing, strong and she doesn't take shit. I also appreciate her so much, for working double and showing everybody that she can be even better than them. I love her relationship with Jackson and I think they are made for each other. I am happy to finish this book and see another wonderful couple. Also, to see how Yvette and Patrick had their first child.❤️ Thank you author ! You drive me crazy with these books."
