Blue shadows
I sit by the window encased by the blanket of sorrow.
The sky pitched black like the night sea, which steals my tranquillity.
The stars hide and I am left isolated, engulfed by the feeling of being alienated that has become the new norm.
The silence has found its larynx,
but the frequency in which it speaks is incomprehensible.
Sometimes travelling in the calm ocean becomes nauseating.
We are stuck in time which accelerates faster than the speed of light.
The shadows that were grey became blue.
Familiar faces become distorted,
Memories once held with a plethora of admiration seem to disappear.
Words don’t seem to connect,
Stories become untold, as people put on earphones, trying to run away from the nightmare called reality.
