Her Throne

She felt her phone buzzing under her pillow, she slowly opened her gorgeous blue eyes ignoring the buzzing sound, and she lazily got out of her bed and walked to her bathroom. She did what she always does every day, she sat on her toilet, took a 30-minute shower,  walked into her walking closet, and took out her uniform.

"I hate you," she said while holding her short red uniform. she wore it, it showed all her beautiful curves, her thick caramel thighs, and her wide hips with a perfect round butt and her normal waist, her full boobs. She applied her favorite red lipstick and pouted her lips looking at herself in her small bedroom mirror. She was going for a natural look she tied her long kinky hair into a ponytail, gave herself one final look grabbed her purse, and slowly walked downstairs, to her family's Huge dining room.  She kept it just the way it was before her family died, the dining table was always spotless, and the flowers her mom adored were centerpieces. She sat at the same spot, she used to sit in when her family was alive, now she sits there surrounded by her family pictures and acts as if they are still alive every day and smiles every day.

"So, Mum how are you this morning? and I can see Dad is not here today huh,"

she smiled looking at her mother's picture in front of her."Tim dude you should get a girlfriend Thomas will help you, I see him and Leah every day,".She turned to her brother's pictures and smiled and continued talking.

"I gotta go, and boys pls behave," She said pointing at the pictures.

She got up and walked out of the room leaving her family's pictures looking at her, she opened the door and took a few seconds l staring outside still holding the doorknob, she turned around and smiled at her family's pictures, they gave her strength to face another day alone, she closed the door, and stood at her porch pulling herself together she felt the cold breeze on her skin and smelled the fresh air, she inhaled deeply mastering the courage to endure another lonely day.

"Talking to yourself again?" the old voice startled her, she knew it was Tracy her old neighbor.

"God Tracy,  You almost gave me a heart attack,"

Cassie screamed and whispered, her left hand held her purse tightly and her right hand pulled her tight dress down.

The old lady smiled and continued talking."I asked nephew Travor to come here and meet you, darling you need him and he needs you too, "the old said.

"Tracy, I told you, I don't need him, I'm fine okay so plz stop," Cassie said.

Tracy frowned knowing that she was lying to her, Cassie smiled at her waved her hand saying goodbye to Tracy, and continued walking to the workplace an Italian restaurant called Franco's. A little girl followed her mimicking her walk, she knew who it was so and Cassie walked fast and so did the little girl, she stopped and the little girl bumped into Cassie's behind and Cassie turned around.

"You lied to me? , you told me that the tooth fairy was going to take my tooth and leave me money but she didn't, she took my tooth and left me nothing," the little girl said.

The little girl frowned at Cassie, Cassie kneeled in front of her held the little girl's hand, and looked at her little innocent face,

"Well maybe she knew you would buy more sweets, and Rot your teeth," Cassie said.

"Lair lair,"

The little girl screamed, The girl's Mother watched them closely and called her daughter, The little girl ran to her mother.

"Lying to kids, she said holding her daughter's hand," the girl's Mother teased Cassie.

"I helped you, a thank you would be nice. Cassie replayed her Tilting her head and pouting her lips

"Okay, Thank you, Cassie"

she said while smiling at her. Cassie smiled back and walked away. Reaching her workplace she did the usual greet the customers and serve them it was a busy place and finishing late was normal, she finished her shift called her Uber driver, and waited for him outside. she waited for 20 mins and he didn't show up she decided to walk home, She took a glance at her handwatch and it was 11:35 pm, It was late and too Dark, she was glad she had borrowed her friend Jane's jacket the weather wasn't good, It was too cold for her liking, she was now near her house she could see it but couldn't reach her home, It felt as if something was pushing her house further. she continued to walk until she was tired and suddenly she froze, she couldn't move her body or talk she was paralyzed, her whole body felt heavy she tried to move her hand but she couldn't, she tried to scream but her mouth wouldn't move. A whistle broke through the silent night followed by loud and heavy footsteps the whistle made her skin crawl all were headed towards her direction. Cassie heard a loud sinister laugh. The hairs at the back of her neck and head stood, her heartbeat quickened and fear invaded her mind. She knew she was doomed and couldn't do anything about it she thought it was death finally answering her prayer but it wasn't him. Whatever it was she didn't like it, the footsteps got close too close to her body, and The heavy breathing near her neck nearly gave her a heart attack. It inhaled her scent, she felt a warm slithering tongue slowly tasting the back of her neck, sweat beads formed on her forehead only her eyes could move.

"Oh my, your fear testes good, "A male husky voice spoke.

He Sounded Amused his voice was deep and scary it left a vibrating sensation in her ears, "Rapist," her brain screamed. She realized that it wasn't death at all but something worse than him. He took a strand of her black hair and sniffed it, he licked it and mockingly laughed. His voice echoed and sent more chills to Cassie he leaned in and whispered in her ear.

"You smell like roses mixed with fear, You test like honey," he slithered, before he could lay his hands on her something strong yanked him up and threw him against across the road. The tree broke in half and fell on top of him, Cassie felt a heavy leaving her body. Her body was free she moved her legs and hands, and Cassie it as an opportunity she runs as fast as she could "Dont:t look back, "She repeated. When she reached her house and got inside and locked the door she ran straight to her parent's bedroom and hid under the covers, she was too traumatized, she couldn't think or hear herself think the sound of her heartbeat was too loud.

He was furious, He lifted the big tree like it was nothing and something quickly grabbed his neck and lifted him, he didn't struggle he smelled the air and got her scent and a sinister smile was plastered all over his face when he saw that it was a female, he couldn't see her face but her physic caught his attention. At first, he thought it was a Wolf or Another Vampire but he didn't think that a female could be that bold and take him on.

"You can do better than that sweatheart", He mocked her.

She loosened her grip on his throat, He got on one knee took her hand into his, and kissed the same hand that lifted him, Her skin was soft and felt like silk on his lips, and her scent was intoxicating to him, he saw a glimpse of her side view she looked familiar, she didn't say anything but looked at him with rage in her eyes, her eyes where boring into his soul."He's not worth it, "her mind told her. She sighed and started to Walk away from him. He didn't get a better look at her face, Her scent reminded him of a long lost friend someone who left without saying goodbye who chose herself and left him alone, He used his speed and grabbed her left shoulder, She knew he would do something like that, She was too quick and used her right hand and grabbed his hand and pulled him close to her face. Her breath fanned his cheek, he saw her and he couldn't believe it, it was her Ava

"You had your filthy hands on my niece you moron," she screamed.

Her voice sounded like a Roar, she was angry. He last saw her years ago and the word underground was that she died during the first war, He was shocked they thought she was dead he thought, and she let go of his hand and turned her back on him.

"Kyle tell your friends to leave town, you know the rules outcasts are not allowed here, "She Ordered, her voice was cold without any emotion she knew him.

He didn't say anything but stared at her in disbelief for a moment before he ran off. She saw his confused face and knew that He would spread the news of her being alive, but she was focused on getting Cassie out of that town, Ava used her speed to reach Cassie's house she wanted to knock but there was no time for that. She broke the lock and got inside, She knew where Cassie was hiding Cassie's heavy breathing gave her away,  but she didn't waste any time and got inside the room Cassie was in, she could Cassie's heart beating fast and her body trembling she pulled the covers off away from  Cassie's body and Cassie screamed out of fear.

"God, you are too loud,"

Ava covered her ears, Cassie looked at her and saw her Mother.

"Mom, "Cassie screamed.

Cassie didn't waste any time she pulled her and hugged her but something was off With the woman she hugged she was cold, ice cold, and felt nothing her Mother's hug, Cassie pulled away and looked at Ava with an unreadable expression, Ava knew what that expression meant.

"What's wrong?, is that how you greet your Mother, "Ava tried to pretend and act like Cassie's mother.

"You are not my mother, you look like her but I know my mother and you are not her,"

Cassie Screamed pointing her finger at her and Ava lifted her hands in defeat.

"Okay you are right, I'm not Avery I'm her twin sister, Ava, there's no time for introductions,".

"My Mother was the only child my grandparents had, "she didn't believe a word Ava told her.

Ava looked annoyed she took out a photo of her and Avery and showed it to Cassie and Cassie couldn't believe that her mom kept this from her and being the stubborn girl she was, She pulled herself together and got close to Ava and asked her.

"Why are you so cold and why show up now, why didn't you show up at my mother's funeral," she asked Ava crossing her arms.

Ava knew she had to tell her otherwise Cassie would not leave with her.

"I'm always cold,  Vampires are like that except your mother she was special and I didn't show up because I was mourning my other half, any more questions," Ava was impatient

"Are you serious, she was your sister didn't you think about me," her words affected Ava but she didn't let Cassie see it.

Ava saw how her words affected Cassie too.

"I didn't know you existed until yesterday when Father told me about you and how your mother hid you from us using a binding and hiding spell and I guess you know that right yesterday it vanished and I could sense you and if I can sense you then others like me can, we can't risk our First Hybrid Queen. Cassie cut her off.

"I know I have powers but this hybrid bullshit you are telling me is new and it's too much to take in, first some Maniac wanted to eat me and now you're a vampire in my room telling me about me being a hybrid and that Grandpa is alive," Cassie took two long deep breaths and continued

"I never needed you, why would I need you now,  I need air,".

Cassie stormed out of the house and Ava followed her Ava grabbed her hand she was about to speak when they both heard howling sounds, Ava knew that a Warewolf pack lived near the town, she had to get out of the city immediately, Cassie froze looking at Ava she knew about the wolves and what they did to Vampires and the recent killings of Humans had the wolves on the edge, she saw Ava's eyes turn dark until they where pitch black, she was terrified, Ava let go of her hand and walked past her to her Black Jeep she opened the doors Cassie didn't need any invitation and got inn inside the jeep and locked the doors and Drove off with Ava leaving her home,Her memories leaving her house and she didn't know where they where heading, she just followed her heart and the thoughts of dying left her and a new feeling of family found her.
