Chapter 1
-TRIGGER WARNING-
The Garden of Eden
Your parents always tell you that “when you fall in love, you just know it.” I didn’t notice till I met him. Bex was a hybrid demon, tall with tan skin and long hair as black as a raven’s feather, cold-hearted but yet caring when he’s around you. You feel the warmth. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t even notice how fast I was in love. It’s like he fell out of heaven for me, a fallen angel, or so I thought. I never knew the dangerous ways that come with being with someone like him, and I’m about to tell you how it all started...
EDENS POV
My dad screamed, “You Fucking Idiot, Look What You’ve Done!” He was drunk and, like every time he is drunk, bad things happen. As tears came down my cheeks, I was struck by something hard and cold, “THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT. Your mother would still be here. ”He was right. You know, you killed your mother. I didn’t mean to. I was a newborn. A freak. A monster “Are you even paying attention to me, you whore?“I’m not a whore.
I didn’t do anything wrong. All I could do was lie there as blood started to come from my head from whatever he hit me with. Then a knock came from the front door. My father went to the door and a loud thud was heard. My father was scared, but I was too exhausted to help him move “s-she’s in there, please take her, she’s nothing to me”. “What’s your name?” he asked the masked man, who had an all-brown mask and had three scars that looked like bear marks, as well as a snake tattoo wrapped around his chest.
“e-Eden, my name is Eden.“... “Well, Eden, we have to take you in.” I nodded but couldn’t move. Everything was moving in slow motion. I’m going to die for someone I think cares about me. The man picked me up and carried me out. I turned to see my father’s face. He had a smirk on his face like he was happy to see me leave, and the last thing he said to me was, “Do what you want with that whore.” No goodbyes, no love you, nothing. The man stopped, turned his head, and handed me to the other person.
He didn’t have a mask on and smelt of cigars and whiskey like my father. BANG I turned my head to see my father dead on the floor. Pools of blood and scars were all over him, but I didn’t see a gun. His fists were bloody, though, and his horns showed he was a demon hybrid. I only know there are three of them; the leader of the clan and his two sons, and this one seems like one of them. When Scars came closer to me, I was intrigued by my thoughts, but I wasn’t afraid of him; he took me from the other guy and took me to the car. “The stars are beautiful tonight,” I didn’t say, instead of falling asleep with my head on his chest.
A few minutes later,
Edens dream
“Run, Eden, he’s going to kill you and the love of your life,” a woman in white appeared, but it faded into black as if she ran through the mud. I turned to see the woman turn into my father. but I didn’t have anyone. I looked around and saw blood pools. “You whore, you’re always fucking up everything.” “NO, I DIDN’T MEAN TO, I CAN FIX IT,” I said, but the ground shook and I fell into darkness before I could say anything. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It was like the world shut me out and into a black hole.
I awoke to yelling and loud footsteps. I was in a dark room with white curtains and a few small items. I was laying in a larger queen-size bed than the one I had before. I looked up to see someone standing at the door wearing a baseball cap and what appeared to be PJs. Look, I’m just going to keep this short. OK, what’s your name, kid? How rude. All I could do was look into his eyes. He was pissed and didn’t seem like the type to deal with bullshit like me. “What’s your name?” he yelled, causing me to flinch and put my head down.
“Eden,” I murmured. His voice was deep and very intimidating. I looked up at him and his face had softened. “Good, I’m Bex. You will be staying here for a while. You already met my brother Bear. ” Brother? His father must have had some strong genes because they were both hot and tall. I felt strange as if my stomach was getting fuzzy. For a second, we locked eyes. “Come on, you must be hungry.” I nodded my head and got the courage to get up, but when I looked at him again, he was stiff and his face looked angry. Did he do those things to you? I followed his eyes and looked down. I couldn’t say anything. I felt something warm wrap around me. “Here so you don’t feel embarrassed.” It was his sweatshirt. I looked up at him and smiled, “Thank you.” “No problem, love.” “Are you ready to go?” he asked. I nodded my head and we left the room, and a part of me wished I had never left that room...
“Shhhh I’m not going to hurt you; just tell me where she is. I know you were at the house with bear, but just tell me where she is. ” The strange man said, He is one scary man. He is the snake that tricked Eve. ” I-I. He took her back to Marcus’s place. I don’t know sir, I’m sorry, please. ” The guard’s face was beaten to a bloody pulp. The man sighed and got up from his seat and walked over to the broken man. “You disappointed me tonight.” Now I have to take care of a problem.” The man walks out of his office. “Don’t worry. I’ll let my men take good care of you. ” And with that, the man walks out of his office and leaves. Screams are heard but quickly end...
