Chapter 1

I paced around the dim hallway, sighing while my cheeks puffed a glint red. God knows where I am, or what I’m even doing here– Do I even belong in this family? I heard gentle chattering, thumps, and loud bangs coming from the doorway on my right. Inside was my foster family, discussing what to do with me. “John, please,” I heard a yelp from the door. “She’s our daughter!” By then, the room settled with the quietness, but a heavy burden slipped through my spine, bringing me chills.

It was peaceful.

A lavender vine hung from dim ceilings, bringing a nice scent to my nose. The window, almost as if the world was split in two, brought peace to my mind. Birds chirped, while the sun gazed down, as if admiring a beauty. –Which, this didn’t last long.

Once the closed door slammed open, my father rushed out with my mom behind him. She had a grim look on her face, and her sleeve was unrolled, showing plum bruises. “..Honey,” She turned to face me while keeping her head down, as if disgusted with herself.

“I’m sorry, but you have to leave– again..” Her words slipped out, while my world cracked with every word. “Huh? But, you said I could..” I came to a pause, realizing.

My body burnt, I felt like flames were devouring me.

His stare burned holes in my body, making me choke on my own words.

“N–Nevermind, I’ll leave.”

And with that, I found myself in a car, dressed in plain gray parked outside of an orphanage’s driveway. With my leftover money, I ordered myself a taxi. He appeared bold, but seemingly quiet.

“Miss, this is your stop.” I nodded, before shutting the door behind me.

I headed towards a hotel, checking in. “Miss Georgia Rodgrey, correct?” A woman dressed in a suit, covering her gray skirt barely reaching down to her knees, sat at the front desk, her eyes locked with a computer. I nodded, “Yes.” She gave a light smile, standing up, before guiding me to my room.

“..This should be your room, Miss.” I smiled, thanking her quietly, ready to walk inside and rest. She presses her hand on my chest, tugging the once neatly placed tie, now a complete wreck. “W–what are you..” My words came to a stop, realizing the beauty in front of me. It was hard to see before, since there was a gap between us.

Her hair, which was tied, now reached down to her shoulders. Her lips were painted a pretty plum, while her emerald eyes burned into mine. “You don’t recognize me, Zack?”

With that, I shoved her away. “..Sorry,” I fixed my suit in a hurry, chuckling.

“I’m not sure who this ‘Zack’ is.”

I earned a smug look, “Do you really, now?” She pushed herself towards me, sending me head-first to the floor. Now, once again, she stood on top of me. Except a knife was pointed directly at my throat. I caught my breath, feeling drops of something trickle down my shirt. I waited, as if, expecting an answer. Yet none slipped through her lips.

She brought herself down, kneeling. “-----”” She whispered, before I noticed my whole body stung. I couldn’t concentrate, and soon enough, my vision and virginity was spiraling.
