Caster Canyon,

An old gold mine nestled below a small ramshackle western Era town.

Bussling for years, until one day something strange began lurking town at night, snatching people if they stepped into the darkness.

To this day people go up, then vanish without a trace thus it was left abandoned. I was the one man to escape whatever pillaged the inhabitants of Caster Canyon.

I was passing through town delivering mail at the time, going about my normal route at dusk. Around halfway into my route I felt hairs raise to a point ensueing goosebumps.

Like my gut commanded.

I came to a hault, then I went silent to listen.. russling in the bushes...

- I felt cold all of a sudden frozen -

A mere 10ft from me,

Humanoid launched from the bushes landing smack in front of me, wearing a black spandex suit of sorts with completely white eyes, I became entranced in them as if i was completly hypnotised.

I couldn’t speak, before I could he tried to luanch over me, I was able to rebound my thoughts. Seeing the chance I ran-ran- right on back to my bike speeding off, ever since that day I have been tormented with my own thoughts, pillaged of happiness like a curse.

Now where I sit here before fellow labled insanes telling my story.“Thank you for sharing Ron,” the counselor stated with a smile. Nobody belives my story..

was I the monster?

“What did you say Ron?,``the counselor stated.

“I believe it was me, counselor,``Ron said.

Ah well I tried, inadvertantly pawned that off on the poor mortal.

Ron was released last Saturday,

The streets were pretty much the same, my trailer was in one piece, the car was missing the radio but it runs.

Washing dishes at the Cafe late one night I heard the television talk about a creature reported lurking the streets late at night. Curiosity hit me I listened while working, after finishing my priorities I made note of the occurance in my journal alongside others.

At the home apartment, I pulled out the record of occurrences, then pinned them on the map of the US I have secured to a cork board.

Using red pins and yarn I mapped out the creatures travel path, realizing quickly the line is leading to my apartment one state off.
